Just received my fitbag in Rave brown - Nexus 6P Accessories

Picked up a fitbag from Amazon because I'm trying the caseless approach with the 6P. This one came from the amazon store, they ship from Germany so delivery was about 2.5 weeks from purchase date.
They've got tons of colors and materials to chose from, all of which have a microfiber lining on the inside. First impressions are very positive its stiched together very nicely and the Rave brown is super soft and a dark khaki like color.
If anyone's looking for a good pouch I recommend you check fitbag out.

Yea, it fits snug to the body, but its really easy to slide in an out of the bag. Just push up from the bottom and it'll pop up far enough to take it out

It's not meant to be used in the bag, you take it out to use it. For me it works well with the setup because I'm not a case fan, but I like to have some pocket protection. Paired with the G watch R i can still see everything going on with the phone. Some people like the pouch because you get the full body protection perks when not in use, and you get the naked phone when in use

I ordered this fit bag as well, for the same reason as you. One question, do you carry it a lot in your front pocket of your pants? I'm planning to do so but the stories about bended phones worries me. Right now I have a hard case which adds some sturdiness to it.

Yup I keep it in the front left pocket when carrying it. After carrying a nexus 6 last year though I'm used to taking the phone out when I sit down. So far I haven't had any issue with the 6P

I should have said i was in canada. I got the canadian flag
Guess ill just wait a few weeks
It's hard to tell from the pictures on at&t's website, but the black one is black/GREY which is a deal breaker for me, pretty unattractive when you see the case from the front.
I'll wait for black/black to be in stock on amazon.
ordered the black and grey yesterday, still says processing, hoping it ships soon
Well they finally listed it on their website as "coming soon" (Defender)

Thanks! Just put in my order now. BTW if anyone goes into the store they have a promo going on right now for accessories. $20 off $100, $40 off $150 and $60 off $200. I ordered two out of stock car docks and the otterbox, and with the discount made my otterbox $10

Given my job in public safety and my severe interest in mountain biking and snowboarding, the defender will manage my hobbies better than my HTC pouch.
I have the blue commuter case from AT&T's store. It's big, but worth it IMO. Wish they carried the black or at least gray version, but whatever. Zagg screen protector and Otterbox Commuter is a nice combo. I've already dropped it once though lol
My local AT&T store happened to have the Defender case in stock so I picked one up and they are really nice. I'm amazed at how much thinner Defender cases have gotten. I guess Otterbox decided to use their "new" silicone for the One X case and it has a lot of grip and doesn't seem to attract lint as much.
On the downside, while Otterbox makes great holsters, they decided to put two contact points on each side which makes it difficult for a quick release. Also, the built-in screen protector is still a bad idea.
Al in all, even with the high price and a couple little quirks it's a great case and will probably be my primary case.

EDIT:
For anyone who decides to remove the built-in screen protector, it seems like a simple operation. I went to cut it out but it just popped out and then I was able to remove the glue strip in one shot. See pic below:
Great pics! thx...
how much harder is it to get out of the holster now with the 2 contact points? Is it a real pain in the a$$?
could you take a picture of the other side so i know what the clip system looks like? would be awesome

The clips on the other side look exactly the same. I don't know why they didn't just use a "cradle" on one side with a single, centered clip on the other (like they usually have done before).
Just received my case. Very well put together minus the holster issues which I do not use but I do understand for those who do and pulling down the notification bar is tricky as the top is somewhat blocked by the gray front plastic part of the case. Other than that great case and happy I don't have to be paranoid about dropping my phone.

Just received my Spigen Neo Hybrid case. Pictures inside.

Hey guys, I just received the new case today. I picked it up off Amazon for $14.99. The case looks good and is very well built. The case looks and feels premium.
I went with the Metal blue color for the outer ring. As a bonus, Spigen threw in 3 screen protectors for free! The screen protectors alone retail for $9.99 so its a nice freebie.
Now, I just need the S5 to get here.

Hello,
The ring around the phone is some sort of super hard plastic. Its quite rigid. The Metal slate color I received is very dark, and as close to black as I'll get.

I got the Spigen Tough Armor for s5 (which I love, super protective and the gunmetal one is gorgeous). It looks like these two cases have the same battery door cutoit, so I can say that it is tricky to get the battery door open for sure. If you don't have nails expect to have a little difficulty until you get the hang of it. That's the only qualm I have about it though.

I still think they are way over priced. You can get a much better case for the money.
I just received mine in Dante red. By far the best and most quality case I've seen so far. So happy

it is a little more difficult but the quality of the case outweighs that
I got mine too. Unboxing and first look video on my youtube channel
Seems far bulkier than the one for the iPhone 5 which is a bit of a shame.
Still a nice case tho
I bought this case also.. not so much impressed with it. It feels nice but a few things I don't like:
- It extends the phone out to the sides, typing and using the screen is more cumbersome as you hit the edge of that case that are higher then the screen. In other words the screen is not flush with the case. They did this to protect the screen if you lay the phone down.
- Getting the charge port to open is a pain in the neck -- very hard
- Makes the phone much wider then it is.
I also got the S-View case from Samsung and it's OK but flap won't stay closed all the way which sucks.

It feels solid but if you think about it, if it were to fall and hit on the corner then it might split apart and not bounce like a TPU case which would maybe damage the phone more likely.
But I like almost as well as the Incipio Octane case I have.
I like that you can feel the metal buttons on the side
This looks like the exact one offered by "Storm-Buy" on Amazon. I imagine it's from the same Chinese company. Either way I have this case on my phone and I personally like it.
Now it's not perfect but it does what I really need it to do. I was looking for a clear case that would show off the back, while protecting my phone from basic scratches and bumps, and not adding too much bulk. I don't think it's going to be as good as other cases for drops and falls but works fine for minor protection.
You can see what looks like leftover marks, probably from the manufacturing process. Not really super noticeable but you can see them. Since it is a 2-piece snap-on case there is a bit of flex by the volume button and it is a bit slippery. But the case is solid and snug on the phone. It also provides a lip on top so the screen is protected when face down on a flat surface. It's also not likely to come apart. I actually have a hard time taking it off that I feel I'm going to break it when I try. For $8 I'm not going to complain.
If you are a bit rougher on you phones, then I recommend a different one but for basic scratches this one isn't terrible.
I've been using this case for about a week now and I think it is fine. It will definitely protect the wood back (ebony) from scratches., and it was inexpensive -- I doubt it will offer much protection from a drop. I'll move on when I see another clear case that is deemed to be tough and low profile.
The ebony wood back is very very nice - very glad I selected that option.
Mine shipped and never made it. They gave me a quick refund. I was impressed they refunded my money so fast.

Skins/Wraps

Who's going this route and not the case/sleeve/naked route? The 2 popular ones I found are DBrand and SlickWraps. Both have confirmed 6P cases are in the making. Personally, I want to go DBrand IF they have that coloured X logo from last year's Nexus. Anyone used either of these brands before? How are they?
I've used both. My preference is DBrand. Just based on product quality and accuracy (and the people who run it are funny as hell). I'm planning on finding a bumper or hybrid case with a clear back just so i can put some wood grain on the back of my 6p

Not sure about the wood skins in particular, but in the past when asking them if their skins were waterproof (I had a Z Ultra at the time) they told me the skin was good for water submersion. Which I did. And had no issues with the skin peeling whatsoever.
If slickwraps makes the Stormtrooper wrap.... you bet your @$$ I'll be rocking that on my white 6P
I've been using both since the original Nexus 6. Quality of both are excellent. However, dbrand takes FOREVER to get to me (over a month,) where slickwraps I'll receive within a week. It I recall correctly, the Nexus cutout on the dbrand were a little better though. I'm located in CA, if that has anything to do with how long it takes to receive.
Dbrand by a mile, because the fractions of a millimetre and extra quality counts.
Does anyone like Toast?
No love for toast? They do wood covers for phones which feel good and are quite unique! so if you wanted that Moto Maker style wood back on your nexus then have some Toast.

Are you guys planning on doing both the Galaxy and Hero wraps for the 5X and 6P? Maybe even some of the new characters from Episode 7??
I've used both Dbrand and Slickwraps. Slickwraps seems to have a better selection and better shipping. Dbrand seemed to have just that extra little precision that made the nexus 6 skins a wee bit better. Both were good products. So... pretty much what others have already said in this thread. I don't have a preference between the two.
DBrands by a mile. You are buying a premium phone, why would you go with a company who's standards don't compare? Dbrand definitely makes a closer-to-perfect products with its cutouts.
Curious to know if the limited edition colored 'X' for Nexus 6 by dbrand works for the 6P...
Can someone with drand skin experience answer a question for me?
I'm interested in the white carbon fiber skin, however this question is fitting for all of them I'm sure.
How much friction does the vinyl skin allow? For example: I always place my phone on my lap when not in use - how easy does it allow the phone to slide off of some jeans? This is the main purpose I would have for skinning a phone - because the oem painted texture is slick as all hell.
Thanks.

*NEW* SEIDIO Convert with Metal Kickstand Combo (Feb 29)

Just got this in my email.
http://www.seidioonline.com/Nexus-6...ur Nexus 6P With 2 Cases for the Price of 1!#
Unfortunately, it is only in black.
Good looking though if you want a rugged case. Don't know that I'll ever trust them enough to use them again.
nice case, but way to expensive. i think $50 is too expensive for any case, but thats just my opinion. Would buy if it was like $30ish
It looks interesting but the price is also something in the range of a Otterbox. I would love to have a closer look at at it though since love rugged cases
So it looks like this is 2 cases in one and a holster.
You get the Surface case, the "Convert" cover piece that makes it super rugged, and the new weird holster that connects to their mounting system.
Actually not a terrible price for SEIDIO, but I know nothing about that holster. You can get it cheaper on holiday sales or probably on Amazon in a few weeks.
normally im a super slim case guy but i think i might have to have that for just incase. love the super simple look
I loved the convert on my Evo LTE. This phone in that case though would be too massive if it adds anywhere near the bulk it used to.
Anyone take the plunge on this yet? If so, thoughts?

Youngblakee was me sorry ... Apparently I logged into XDA with my Tapatalk account... Anyways my case came in and I am loving it! By far in my opinion the best rugged case for the Nexus 6p combined with a pretty good slim case. Best holster I've used so far.

look for them on amazon...a good bit cheaper w/color options
How is the kickstand? Is it something which will break after a few tries?
Just got this case today. Love it except that the charging port cover wouldn't shut, and pushed the charging cable up, possibly damaging the connectors long term.
It bothered me so I cut the charging port cover off.
Other than that it's a great case. Seido could have done better.

Youngblakee was me sorry ... Apparently I logged into XDA with my Tapatalk account... Anyways my case came in and I am loving it! By far in my opinion the best rugged case for the Nexus 6p combined with a pretty good slim case. Best holster I've used so far.

Can you use it without the outer most shell? Without the holster?
If looks like 3 shells correct?
