Underwater Cases For S4

hello guys. just got an s4. always had an iphone and this is my first android so its fun and very interesting device. do you guys happen to know a good underwater case, similar to the iphone 5's lifeproof case?

Seashell makes one... Google "Seashell Underwater case Samsung S4"

Have a lifeproof for an iphone 5 and it works well. Very well in fact. Waiting on a lifeproof or OBEX for my S4.

i would have to think at some point they would sell the shell of the s4 advanced. it's water proof

I just ordered the Krusell case. I'll let you know how it is when i receive and used it. I just wanted a cheap (too bad its $39 shipped) case to use ONLY when im around water. I didnt want to carry those ziplock looking cases around either.. just something to keep next to the pool or with me at the lake. All the reviews about a lot of waterproof cases are negative in terms of call quality/everyday use. Nobody has reviewed it for the reason i want to use it (ONLY when around water then take it off when im not)

Just use a condom. Works great. I've been to many pool parties where it's fun to throw incoming guests in the pool while fully clothed. Gets a good laugh too when you pull out your phone and it's "protected".

You could always use a DryCASE. Or are you looking for an everyday use case?

I may have to order one of these, I'm just worried since it is a no name brand cheap case from china that it won't hold up. I'm going on a trip next month though so I may just bite the bullet anyway and test it out.

They're all pretty much the same thing, just different brands. The ebay one you posted definitely looks 100x better, but these amazon ones have pretty good reviews and people seem to back them up and have mentioned only minor issues.

Has anyone tried the waterproof skin by winner? It blocks the charging port so it would ideally be used only a couple of times. But it looks slim fitting and they are very affordable compared to an $80 life proof case.

according to their twitter, third quarter. so any time between now and the end of september..

Otterbox and lifeproof both recently released waterproof cases for the s3. Betting it wont be long and theyll release s4 versions as well. Both claim to not interfere with call sound quality.

Best post I´ve read in almost 3 years or so! Lol for days thank you!!! :laugh:
Back in topic, after buying like 16 cases the best for me has been the Otterbox Commuter: right ammount of protection with minimal bulk. Toughest cases are so bulky and cheaper ones do not provide such effectiveness when talking about regular drops.
Anyway your choose will be the best, cheers!

I also had a bad experience with an incipio dual pro. It was not snug and the phone kept falling out of the case. I love my Targus Safe port but it's not easy to take the phone out if you do a lot of battery swaps. I'm looking at a Pure gear Dual tek or a Spigen neo hybrid for something more user friendly. I do heaps of battery swaps

After testing a few decided to SPIGEN Ultra Fit
Protects but at the same time is not that big.

Lifeproof fre gets my vote for best so far. Of course with the price tag it should be amazing, lol

The same thing happened to me. Their replacement bands are ridiculously overpriced so I won't be buying another Spigen cover.

My spigen neo hybrid cracked near the energy interface too.
And second layer of my yellow frame made bubbels and fall down.
To expensive for this bad quality.

Hey guys, I just received the new case today. I picked it up off Amazon for $14.99. The case looks good and is very well built. The case looks and feels premium.
I went with the Metal blue color for the outer ring. As a bonus, Spigen threw in 3 screen protectors for free! The screen protectors alone retail for $9.99 so its a nice freebie.
Now, I just need the S5 to get here.

I really wish they made a version with a black ring around it.
Can you let me what material the ring around the phone is? I can't tell if it's plastic or some sort of metal.

Hello,
The ring around the phone is some sort of super hard plastic. Its quite rigid. The Metal slate color I received is very dark, and as close to black as I'll get.

I got the Spigen Tough Armor for s5 (which I love, super protective and the gunmetal one is gorgeous). It looks like these two cases have the same battery door cutoit, so I can say that it is tricky to get the battery door open for sure. If you don't have nails expect to have a little difficulty until you get the hang of it. That's the only qualm I have about it though.

I still think they are way over priced. You can get a much better case for the money.

it is a little more difficult but the quality of the case outweighs that

I got mine too. Unboxing and first look video on my youtube channel
Seems far bulkier than the one for the iPhone 5 which is a bit of a shame.
Still a nice case tho

I bought this case also.. not so much impressed with it. It feels nice but a few things I don't like:
- It extends the phone out to the sides, typing and using the screen is more cumbersome as you hit the edge of that case that are higher then the screen. In other words the screen is not flush with the case. They did this to protect the screen if you lay the phone down.
- Getting the charge port to open is a pain in the neck -- very hard
- Makes the phone much wider then it is.
I also got the S-View case from Samsung and it's OK but flap won't stay closed all the way which sucks.

Picked up a fitbag from Amazon because I'm trying the caseless approach with the 6P. This one came from the amazon store, they ship from Germany so delivery was about 2.5 weeks from purchase date.
They've got tons of colors and materials to chose from, all of which have a microfiber lining on the inside. First impressions are very positive its stiched together very nicely and the Rave brown is super soft and a dark khaki like color.
If anyone's looking for a good pouch I recommend you check fitbag out.

Yea, it fits snug to the body, but its really easy to slide in an out of the bag. Just push up from the bottom and it'll pop up far enough to take it out

It's not meant to be used in the bag, you take it out to use it. For me it works well with the setup because I'm not a case fan, but I like to have some pocket protection. Paired with the G watch R i can still see everything going on with the phone. Some people like the pouch because you get the full body protection perks when not in use, and you get the naked phone when in use

I ordered this fit bag as well, for the same reason as you. One question, do you carry it a lot in your front pocket of your pants? I'm planning to do so but the stories about bended phones worries me. Right now I have a hard case which adds some sturdiness to it.

Yup I keep it in the front left pocket when carrying it. After carrying a nexus 6 last year though I'm used to taking the phone out when I sit down. So far I haven't had any issue with the 6P

I'm looking for a case similar to morphie or zerolemon cases. I did some research in ZL cases and Amazon US doesn't have any in stock, but Amazon UK and Amazon Germany do. Has anyone from the US ordered a Zero case from the UK or Germany ?
PS - I'm also looking for privacy screens...
I want total protection for this device. I beat my M8 all to hell and really don't want to risk damaging this phone.
PS2 - Does anyone have any information on good OTG cables...ID love to hook up some of my ext. HDDs and also any info on portable battery packs. I've always used anker, but I'd love to hear your thoughts. I'm thinking of buying an anker power bank....

I bought the Zerolemon case but it has a lot of defects, you should check out the Zerolemon thread - many issues, camera reflection, microphone issues, GPS dies while charging. I would assume Mophie will not be making a case for this phone. Zerolemon pulled the 6P case and will be sending those who purchased one a redesigned model.

So it's not worth it? Do you know of any similar cases or any case that is badass?

Does it have to be a battery case? If not, I use a Seidio CONVERT with a tempered glass SP and love it. Definitely badass protection, and it doesn't look like a Transformer or something.

I think you'll like it. It's like an Otterbox with style.

As long as it's not ****ty like otterbox. I've had an Otterbox before and the damn thing fell apart after 7 months. It was entirely too bulky for me. I read that this seidio case can be streamlined and won't be bulky.

It is more streamlined than an Otter. It also leaves the face of our 6Ps unobstructed unlike Otterbox. Kind of moot considering Otterbox has never provided for Nexus devices. I like the Seidio because of it's minimal design. No faux vent, fake screws or Transformer like chevrons on it. I'm so tired of "rugged" cases looking like teenage boys gaming towers lol.
