The plastic is very very very smooth like butter, but has friction between hard surfaces..so if you stick the phone in your hand with the case on itll slide if you move your hand back & forth..the edge of the case barely covers the phones curved glass, Im guessing to put it in and tale it out, has no play, and just seems like a good ol' hardcase
The more i handle it,the plastic should get grippier, ill update on that
No snap, crackle, pop noises from this case, put it on and done
+1 to a simple case, as my first case for the phone its clean&simple
Looks like the sides come up farther than on the ringke case. But looks good otherwise.

Just got the same case last night. I HATE using cases but this one is really nice. I would absolutely recommend one. Fits like a glove and feels great. It doesn't attract lint like some plastic cases.

...no,
Add another thumbs up to the Diztronic. My first case from them I, that I decided to get based on comments here. So far the best case I've seen for the Nexus 4 (at least until a decent 2-component case like the Otterbox Commuter etc. comes along).
Nexus 4 Diztronic Hardshell Case Review
$9.99- Amazon Link
$9.99- Diztronic Link
Design
5/5
First of all, this case is EXTREMELY thin. It's only 1mm thin, making it 25% thinner than the original TPU case. The back has a non glossy Diztronic logo on it and a slot cut open for the camera and speakers. It is a bit slippery, but won't catch lint on it or attract finger prints. Unlike other shell cases, this one isn't hard to take in and out. However, you definitely want to take it out periodically to make sure debris doesn't get caught in it and scratch the case. The edges of the case just barely go over the screen making a bit of a "lip". The lip is barely there and you may be able to fit a screen protector on it. The buttons are left exposed on the case making pressing the power button and volume rockers very easy.
Protection
4/5
This case does a decent job at protecting the phone while still keeping a thin profile. The top and bottom of the case are left somewhat vulnerable, yet I understand how it would be tough to cover that part while making the case a "hardshell". Keep in mind this case is only 1mm thick, so I'm grading the protection based on the case's target audience.
Final Verdict
4.5/5
This may be the thinnest case to ever hit the market. At $9.95 you get a lot of bang for your buck; this is a high quality case made with premium materials. You can tell Diztronic took the time to make sure they got everything right. This case is so thin you won't even notice it while still giving you some protection.
Def the best case so far, for the money

Yep I am using it with a Seidio Surface holster. Looks and feels great! Aside from the speaker alignment, it's my fav case. It actually took me away from the official bumper because now I get a holster which has a smaller footprint when on my belt lol.

I am looking for a super thin case, what do you guys suggest?
Rearth Ringke

This is probably the thinnest case you're gonna find for the G2x.

I also have 2 Nillkin cases, which are very thin (thinner than any tpu I've put on), but this one is definitely even thinner.
There are also "skins" you can put on the phone, but if you ever want to use the phone in a dock, then the skin will cause a problem...so I prefer a thin case that's quick and easy to remove.
Here is the ebay link where I bought mine from. The auction is over, but I'm sure if you click around on that page, you'll find another auction with the same case: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320735735257&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

Trident Aegis Case
lol...trident aegis is like the antithesis of "thin case."
thanks mm... that's exactly what i'm looking for. anyone else sell something like that in the states?
how long did yours take to arrive?
Anything from hong kong usually takes about 2-3 weeks to arrive
make certain that you notice there are areas of the phone that go unprotected with this case...it's light, quick to pop on and off, looks good, thin in your pocket. But if you drop it on the street, you're might have a problem.
what else do people suggest? if i wanted to go the full corner cover.
There is a pretty good tpu case at Walmart for like 15 bucks. Not thin compared to the nilkin, but covers the corners
EDIT: and is also one of the thinnest tpu cases i've seen
what's the brand name and do you have a link?

this is the case I have. Its cheap and its very thin. I have no problems with it. The only thing slightly off with this case is that it is difficult to hit the up/down volume button and the power button but its not too bad.
Ive been through 3 cases.
Thinnest probably is BodyGlove Grasp. I'm using that now.

Also, if your e looking for good protection, but fairly thin, easy to pull out of pocket, I recommend seidio surface case. It fully covers the case, but is thin and feels good in the hand. Someone here said the case scratched his phone, but I can't even see how thata possible because it is felt lined. I've had it over 2months now, and not a scratch. I got the optional holster with it, and I use it for most of my other cases. I have 8 for this p phone.
You don't wanna know where this was sent from.

Is one corner of the G2x exposed with that case? If so, it's not worth it! haha

My friend and I using that case right now, we ordered 2 different date (different sellers) and I got one with full cover and he got the one look like one on the pic. Btw, good case for the price, fit very good, exept the corner on his case.
I've got the TPU case from Amazon (can't post links, not enough posts yet) -- it really isn't thin at all... The corner is not exposed on the one I have. I mean, it was only $2.80 + shipping.. it fits perfectly, but it is just too thick for my taste, so I never use it. Without the case, the phone is nice and thin, with the TPU case, it is just too thick. The whole point in getting this phone it that it was less than 11 mm thick. With the case, it is more like 13 mm... meh..
I am looking for a case that protects the top and bottom (To stop chipping). The case also has to look good with the black HTC One s and not scratch the phone like some TPU cases do. I like the CaseMate soft case but sadly it has no mic hole Hope someone can help!
The only cases that protect the bottom and top afaik are the silicone/rubber/gel type of cases.
Regarding the no hole for the microphone for the case mate soft and tough, it really isn't that much of an issue IMO and can be easily solved anyway using either a drill bit, eye letter punch or some other form of a cutting tool
See my review of the tough case here:
http://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1072819-case-mate-tough/
Below are the results of using a drill bit to make a tiny hole (acting as a "mark") and the eye letter punch to make a "proper" microphone hole

I actually think that this one looks kinda interesting:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=25717298&postcount=121
It would be difficult to obtain a D3O case outside of US/Canada. ^
I am waiting on this one to come in (ordered 5-5-12) After a recent unfortunate incident involving my Nexus S and a marble countertop + a 6" fall I am taking no chances. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007U6EHXS/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00
I don't normally do anything except a screen protector but after watching my screen crack down the middle on my nexus s just a week ago I am not taking any chances with this beast of a phone. Just in casethe link doesn't work it is a ballistic case for HTC One S for about $17 from amazon.
You guys gotta wait for the otterbox case. Is not out yet but will be our soon
Sent from my One S.
I actually prefer the ballistic cases over the otterbox. Personally I don't like the complete coverage of the screen in the otterbox defender series and the commuter cases are almost exactly like the ballistic I ordered but the ballistic are generally cheaper and side by side they are just about the same save for some styling differences.

I am on my 3rd case since I got my phone a month ago.
The current one is by Diztronic (see the separate thread).
It is a TPU case so the top and bottom are protected, but it has a nice matt finish rather than the shiny effect of most gel cases. Would recommend!

I have the i-Blason version of that kickstand case (same exact case, just different style). I'm not impressed. Here is my review:
http://www.amazon.com/i-BLASON-Tran...ctured/dp/B00AX9F47M/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top
Maybe I'm just spoiled by the awesome kickstand case I had on my Galaxy S3. But this kickstand case is just very wobbly. When the kickstand is out and phone is in portrait mode, you cannot tap the top left of the screen without the phone falling over backwards.
And when the phone is in Landscape mode, you can't tap the screen anywhere on the top 50% of the phone without it falling down.
Also, the case is slighly slippery, but not terrible. The kickstand does fold out in such a way that you can loop a finger through it, which is nice.
I've been using the case for about a week now and I don't notice any gauges or scratches on the case. The button cutouts are very, very well done. My only real gripe about the case is the kickstand functionality. It's just too wobbly to be functional for anything other than sitting there and watching your screen. Forget about trying to type or tap anything.

It's too bad Qmadix is not making the Metallix kickstand case for the Galaxy S4. It was THE most stable kickstand case ever made. And it was stable in both horizontal & portrait and even upside-down modes.
I could type and tap away at my phone when it was on the kickstand. And it would never wobble or fall over.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_8Nv0piio-8
I have another version of the same case/holder combo that I picked up at the T-mobile store when I got my phone. I like it a lot, it's very grippy, doesn't add much bulk, and the kickstand serves my purposes fine (watching videos). I guess the stability could be better, but honestly it's better than the kickstand on the original Evo...

I was looking at this one too... but I think one of the reviews said the white one had more of a glossy finish instead of the rubbery grip.. is that true?
right now I have this one because I was looking for a slim, white with kickstand (preferred with cutouts for all buttons) this one is decent... it doesn't fit around the phone perfectly but it does stay on no problem.. after having it for a few weeks... it does appear to be getting stained from being in my jeans etc.. The kickstand is perfect.. I love how I can use it portrait or landscape. For $6.00 it was worth it.
I love the way this black one looks. Too expensive though. And the kickstand looks flimsy.

So I've just received my casemate in the post and first impressions was that the box was beautiful

}
Just upon opening the box i realised how beautiful it actually is.
The carbon fibre on the back is 100% real carbon fibre.
The black plastic around the sides is a real bad fingerprint magnet. As you can see
And at the bottom of the back piece is a brushed aluminium plate with the casemate logo and bevelled edges around the back speaker but just as alot of cases the case is muffled the sound coming from the speaker when its on a flat surface but its not as bad as other cases I reviewed
What i only found out upon receiving the case that its a two piece case which is a big plus for me and it looks like theres enough of a gap between the screen and case to allow a glass screen protector.
The silver plastic buttons on the upper part of the case are really easy to press
The inside of the back piece is a nice rubbery feeling which would provide a small shock resistant and just protects the phone.
Over all the phone fits extremely well and that i would recommend everyone to get it. The only bad thing is that its a slippy case but that shouldn't stop you from buying it.
Heres more pictures of the phone in the case
That's looks not bad! Is it bulky?
I'm thinking of getting a d30 case though. Apparently it offers exceptional impact protection while maintaining a slim form factor.

I had 1 case ****canned it. Don't use cases now, the manufactures go through so much design to make these phones fit and be slim it is almost a shame to put a case on it. I have dropped mine at least 8 times a few little dings, I wash it daily with soap and water and have yet to have an issue..

Soap is not good on the phone my friend.
Body Glove case. Really nice grip, anti microbial, and feels very high quality. Snugs the phone tight. Also have the ZAGG glass protector and it works fine with it.
Spigen Tough Armor Case - Gunmetal
This case provide good protection and is very compact. I dropped my phone once and it seemed to provide very good protection.
The buttons are easy to press and I actually like the buttons are flat along the edge of the case, so the chance to mistakenly press the buttons is less!
The cutouts are very good. There are 4 tiny bumps at the back corners that prevent the back from scratches and lift the speaker a little bit above the surface you placed on, so less damping to the speaker.
This case feels high quality made, easy to hold in the hand, and looks good.
Agreed

The buttons are easy to press and I actually like the buttons are flat along the edge of the case, so the chance to mistakenly press the buttons is less!
The cutouts are very good. There are 4 tiny bumps at the back corners that prevent the back from scratches and lift the speaker a little bit above the surface you placed on, so less damping to the speaker.
This case feels high quality made, easy to hold in the hand, and looks good.

I actually bought this case before I even bought the phone! It just gives the phone a rugged look and feel. With the phone by itself I didn't necessarily care for the look of it and knew I wanted a case for the S5. Couldn't be happier with this purchase. I even like the ridge edges it has and makes it easier to grip.
My newest spigen case in my collection.
Picked this up from a Cellaris kiosk in the mall.. Had one on my note 2 for the last year and it did an excellent job protecting my phone, so I went back and got one for my S5, I love the kick stand, but the one on my note 2 case seemed more durable than the one on my S5 cases.
They will usually mix and match colors to suit you, and I went with this combo, for the heck of it heh.
heres a link to their webpage, they have other colors at the kiosk, but you get an idea. most of the cases are cruddy, but the kiosks have otterboxes, kraken, and some other decent named cases.. this case set me back about $30.. worth it in my opinion.

I'm using the incipio teal/cyanish with grey. its kind of funny how small the phone is when I have to take it out (like 2 times now) but this thing is durable. I've dropped it and kicked it a few times and it holds up. love how it keeps my camera nice and tucked in. looks pretty cool too but it's built for abuse it seems.
These are my cases up to this moment. unfortunately, i can't use most of them since i'm using the OEM qi.
