Korean Gear S2 not connecting to S6 Edge - Samsung Gear S2

Hi all,
I wonder if someone has the same problem as me.
I just got a new gear s2 classic from Korea and it won't connect to Gear manager. it keeps of giving me a message: "check if your phone is compatible and if the gear manager app needs to be updated, then try again".
I have downloaded the latest version of the gear manager, but still same problem. I did reset both the phone and the gear to factory settings and still it won't connect.
anyone have any idea how to fix this issue?

I have a Korean phone that works perfectly with my S6 Edge. Took a while to get it paired and I had to restart my phone. That did it.

Stuck at connecting to gear

hello all,
i dont know what i was thinking when i forced closed gear app and it services, and the Samsung accessory service as well, and now my i cant connect to my gear anymore
i have done a light reset and factory reset to my gear s2, and am not able to make it to connect again to my note 3 anyway
also i have uninstalled the gear app and reinstalled again and unpairing the watch , but still its not connecting, it is getting stuck at connecting to gear ,
i tried connecting the gear to other phone it worked, but with my note it is not working , any suggestions ?
***Update - Never mind fixed it by a factory reset of my phone
Connecting to phone with S2
I try to make a phone call from my watch and get the message "connect to bluetooth" I touch the tick for yes and my watch and phone are connected straight away. It never seems to connect otherwise, but connects every time this way, so that's what I do. Wrong way, but it works

For Future Reference - Ideal way to reconnect if you face issues
Ideally, you would not need a full reset of your phone, clearing the data of all the following should work fine -
1) Gear Manager
2) Samsung Accessory Service
3) Samsung Accessory System Providers

gear s3 frontier - install is stuck endlessly

got my gear s3 frontier today.
installed the Samsung gear apps on my phone, huawei P9 and the phone connected to the watch.
configuration from the phone to the watch are working but i tried to download some apps to the watch and it looks like it's endlessly stuck on "installing" on the phone and nothing happens.
tried to installed mr. time maker and a watch face. both failed.
upgrading of current apps, also stuck.
what to do?
Factory reset the watch and try again?

I have a not 4 and I am having the same problem. I reset the watch and still no use. It seems to be an issue with Samsung that they don'the want to admit to.
Same issue with S7 Edge. Reset everything, but no change. No problems like this with iPhone and iWatch. This is the third issue I've had with the S3!!!
After months of successfully using the S3 with an LG, I wanted to try it with a Samsung phone. I was never able to get it working. I got a "service unavailable 1000" error and couldn't install apps. Factory resetting the watch and phone did not fix it. I ended up using a different Samsung phone, which installed without issue.
Download the apps from the watch it's work for me,I think there is some bug at samsung apps store.

Gear S3 Frontier reconnection issue

Folks hopefully someone can help me with this problem.
I have the gear S3 Frontier and its been perfect since launch but since the last update R760XXU2BQC5 my Bluetooth seems to have gone a little wonky.
My phone is Samsung s7 Edge but since this update my gear refuses to reconnect to the phone at any stage automatically. I can manually reconnect it no problem but this is basically making my gear unusable. Once I leave Bluetooth range the watch goes into stand alone mode and will never come out of it. I've to search again via Bluetooth on my phone to reconnect.
I've tried resetting the gear deleting the gear app on my phone and I cannot get it to work.
Any help greatly appreciated
I had the same problem on my Note 4. I had to reset the watch, then on your phone, go to settings, application manager and look for gear. You'll see that there are 2 entries on the list, named "gear s plug in" and "samsung gear". You need to clear all the data from both of these. Now delete the samsung gear app, reinstall it and this should fix your issue. This was trial and error to begin with, but if you follow these exact steps you should be fine.

Gear S3 Frontier (4G LTE) Samsung Pay will not launch.

I work for a VZW corporate store as a sales rep. I sold a Gear S3 Frontier to a customer last night who has a S8+. Samsung pay works fine on the S8+ as it should, but the gear plugin for Samsung pay REFUSES to open or work on his gear S3. When you hold the back button on the watch (the shortcut to open the app), nothing happens at all. When you attempt to launch Samsung Pay from the gear manager, it starts loading but eventually says the gear is not responding try again later.. and that happens even when the gear manager shows a connection with the watch. I have tried several troubleshooting steps which I will list below. If anyone has any solution please let me know asap. I actually own a Gear S3 Frontier myself (non 4G) and I never had issues setting up Samsung Pay on the watch at all. Thank you everyone!
Troubleshooting steps I've already tried:
1.Uninstalling the Samsung Pay app for both the phone and the gear (gear s3 plugin). 2.Cleared the cache and data for both the phone and gear s3 plugin app. 3.Tried updating the watch (it's currently on Tizen 2.2). The gear that I use was updated to Tizen 3.0 a few days ago. I am assuming they are being updated in waves. 4.Tried updating the phone (his S8+ is on the latest software for Nougat.) 5.Unpaired the gear from his phone and re-paired it by doing a factory reset on the gear.
I currently use the Gear S3 Frontier (non 4G) with the Note8 (had the S8/S8+), and I never had an issue setting up Samsung pay on either device. If anyone has any ideas please share them here so I can help the customer get his gear working properly, and help anyone else avoid having this same issue.

S3 Frontier won't connect to app

Hi,
I got a Samsung S3 Frontier, but it won't connect to the app anymore, even though it does connect to my phone.
I've tried everything, even factory resets. After the factory reset it works for a while but after that it just won't connect to the gear app anymore. I'm reading that quite some people have this problem, but I didn't find a solution for me yet.
I've done all the updates.
In short:
Is connected to my phone through bluetooth
If I press 'connect' on the gear app, it says it can't connect
It works for a bit after a factory reset, but overnight the problem reoccurs
The watch is saying it's in standalone mode
Device specs:
OnePlus 6 A6003
Gear S3 Frontier SM-R760
I hope someone knows a solution to this annoying problem
I have the same issue. S3 shows no connection symbol.
Nothing helps:
- Restart phone
- Restart S3
