I updated my Nexus 7 2013 to Marshmallow 6 build MRA58K. After using a combo of TWRP and Titanium Backup both Pro versions I have the tablet pretty much in order . Anyway I am a newbie to the root process. I thought when I upgraded I would no longer get the SYSTEM Update notifications. Which I did not get until the OTA flash all.bat procedure. Now when I do the system update available thingy I get the dead Android icon. I like the way my tablet is now but I still get the notification. Help

Hello I just bought a nexus 5. It runs awesome and when I tried to update it to android 6 I found out Team Win Recovery Project v2.6.3.1 is installed. I have never used the program and i assume i have to navigate to where the update is stored. When i checked for updates I only got a 16mb update only, which i am sure it can't be android Marshmallow.
As this is my first rooted phone and as i have not done it myself I am a bit cautious. I searched a bit but i couldn't find anything specific about TWRP.
Phone info:
android 5.1.1
version number: LMY48I
hi, dear xda forumers!
this is my very first post, and i am not very good at tech things, so please bear with me (plus I may unwantingly commit grammatical mistakes because i am not a native speaker and it is 2AM here)
first my back story:
I had a Huawei Mate 8 (nxt-l29c....something) European version, I had it for about 6 or 7 months, then it was stolen. By that time it had automatically upgraded to Nougat and I really liked it, got used to it, could not live without it.... so i decided to buy the same phone again. It came with Marshmallow, and I tried to update it but the OTA had been for a limited time only I guess, I emailed around with official huawei customer service asked them maybe to update my device from their headquarters or something, but they could not help me, they said I should just wait and eventually it would update.
after 3 months still nothing I grew impatient and I really wanted to have my "old experience" back, so I tried a tutorial with updating via filmware finder, using one of the first updates that were about 2GB big. It was successful, so it seemed at first, because there were no errors or interruptions, but finally when I turned it on, I noticed that during the update process my phone has lost the built in keyboard (still has the google), no more bluetooth, alarm clock, date time settings, update option
I downloaded the official rollback to Android 6 from 7 but since I updated with an unofficial update, it failed to fix my phone. now I still have the issues listed above.
Now I ended up with
Model number: NXT-L29C900B500 (originally it was NXT-L29C432B180)
EMUI version: 5.0
Android version: 7.0
Edit:
Now trying to use a new filmware from the official huawei website with the dload method
Edit 2:
it did not do anything. I will try again when I wake up
I kindly ask anyone who has any idea how to fix this to reply.
Mate 8 nougat update as far as I know have 2 update zips, I've experienced that problem when trying to update to nougat, I used twrp to flash the update.zip, I had emui 5 after but Bluetooth didn't work and some settings were missing, after searching I found that there are 2 zips to an update, a update.zip and a hwupdate.zip, basically only one was installed for you, you need to install both
Hey everyone.
I've stayed on Marshmallow since I got this phone, but now that Oreo has started rolling out on various devices, and Xposed is available for Nougat (I can't live without MinMinGuard anymore), I figured it's time for an upgrade to (stock) Nougat. I'm currently on EMUI 4.1, Android 6.0, version FRD-L09C432B131. Can I update to B403 without losing my data and access to root and Xposed? B403 is the highest version approved for installation for my device that I found through the Firmware Finder for Huawei app.
Googling on this issue hasn't left me much wiser; Can I just flash my stock recovery and boot partitions to enable the upgrade process, download and update through the firmware finder app, reflash newest twrp and then reflash supersu and xposed from twrp once on 7.0, all without losing my apps and data? I've used this phone as my daily driver for nearly two years, and I would like to avoid having to set it up from scratch as much as possible, as that's a pain-in-the-ass process that'll take me ages.
Anyone have any experience doing this? Any input is appreciated!

You have root you will loose that , you need to flash it stock b131 as you have and go to hisuit i download the next version , after once updated go firmware finder and update new one update like c432b380 and next update is 382 you download it with FF and update and second is 391 you download id with FF and keep doing that until you reach the b403 i did that on my c432.
Hi, about a year ago i tested some custom rom's, but i had some problem with them so i came back to Stock ROM, stock bootloader, locked the bootloader. Im using it from then, and it runs fine, im happy with it. But my problem is that my security updates are from: 1st September 2017, my EMUI is: 5.0.1 and Android 7.0 - NXT-L29C432B582. HiSuite tells me that my system is up-to-date same as i click to check for updates in phone settings. Is that normal, or i am not getting the updates for some reason? If so how can i restore them?
My daughter recently got a new watch and the watch says it needs to run android 7 .
It is my old phone that I used to run rooted, but since then have flashed back to stock.
Updater shows that there is no new updates.
It is also running stock recovery.
Is there a way to run get android 7 on it?
Not sure how to without doing a twrp or OTA update.
