Is there a way you can tag your thread so it shows up when you search for device on xda?
You probably would get more responses and testers for your rom. I gonna dl it today and give it a go.

I did a 100% clean install wiping everything and during setup it will get to the end user agreement at the end and once you accept it it will go back to the beginning of the setup process. I redownloaded the zip from your page and tried again with the same results. I came from turbo's rom v.11

i had the same exact issue. instead of just doing the factory reset like the instructions say, i wiped everything (because thats what i usually do) and i also got stuck on the lg user agreement...i restored my stock 5.11 10j back up and went back and ONLY did a factory reset (as per the instructions) and then i got past that user agreement no problem

Yeah the thread is tagged with the "lg g stylo" tag provided by xda and I added a couple of my own to see if it helps. I asked a moderator for help about the thread not being visible and he told me that it's because the stylo doesn't have a forum (which doesn't explain why all other stylo threads show and not this one). I tried pointing that out again to him more detailed and he didn't reply back.
I did however post it on "Android Forums". We have a dedicated stylo forum there.
Rom has already been tested and is working so I can't really say much on the issue you had (also flashed it a couple times myself to be sure). AP2FTW made a good suggestion that may help you though.

no problem my pleasure...i was really worried when i got stuck there, but i was certain it was my fault for not following your instructions...im just so used to wiping everything but the external when i flash stuff. sure enough when i went back and only did the factory reset like you instructed, it worked like a charm :good:
just to mention again, rom is really fantastic, thanks very much

My guess is the other tags in this thread create some sort of conflict with the special device tag ,
Try just deleting the other tags and leave the special device tag in place that may help.
Back on topic...
Nthis rom work with Tmobile variamt (H631) just need to flash the T-Mobile Bootstack after flashing the rom.

Cool, thanks.

it is working great and you even have Expo working that's nice
---------- Post added at 02:25 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:24 PM ----------
if you need me to try or test a new ROM just let me know

Rom works great and with exposed and root preinstalled it should be a first choice to those new to flashing, rooting etc.
Crossing my fingers on the overclock.

Going to give this a try.

Pleasant surprise! Thanks for cooking a new one up GameTheory. Downloading now. Any chance that layers themes might work on this ROM?

I like it, a little darker on the notification toggles. Notable network speed increase too.

Is the page down? I just get a white screen when I click on the link

Never mind! Got it to work!!

[ROM][12-7]TPC v3 2.3.5 | Da_G OC Kernel | IMG Flash | ATT | Rogers |

This ROM is based on the official Rogers Stock ROM, and has been optimized for both AT&T and Rogers users. It will wipe your data so be sure and do a nandroid backup before you flash. This ROM uses a new method to flash, it flashes a complete system.img.ext4 to the system partition...similar to an ODIN flash but without tripping the flash counter. The IMG file is modified from the original stock with all permissions preserved which should provide you with a ROM as stable as Stock Odin Flash and with all speed/features of a custom ROM. Special thanks to Da_G for all his help with the ROM, and providing us with a great custom kernel You should have a stable, fast, reliable ROM suitable for everyday use with this release.
changelog for v3
--added bootanimation...if you dont like mine you can get the ics one here. or stock sgs2 here
--added blue circle battery
--used completely new flashing method, for the ultimate in speed, stability, battery life.
--changed "favourites" to "favorites" in contacts menu(att version)
--added Rogers version for all you Canadians
--added Da_G's kernel, you can OC with an app like systemtuner, setcpu, etc.
--patched libhardware_legacy.so from Da_G to allow 192 min frequency.
--updated busybox and bash again(thanks Da_G)
changelog for v2
1. add EN USA language
2. added extended power menu
3. move all market apps to /data/app/
4. replace more Rogers files with ATT for better compatibility with AT&T network
5. added CRT off animation
6. added some tweaks for speed
7. change 4g icons to AT&T
8. added visual voice mail from AT&T
9. add AOSP gb keyboard
10. replace host file with adfree version
11. added rom manager, titanium backup, flashlight, systune(free version) updated other market apps

Just a quick Antutu bench-test using this ROM and Da_G Kernel
----------------
WiFi Sharing excessive CPU
TPC - I did find one problem, you might want to check it on your side as well.
I found out that every time on a new reboot. Once the system loads, Wifi Sharing start to poll on the cpu excessively. I can freeze it, then clear data then unfreeze and it would settle down, but once it reboots, the problem comes back. OR I can freeze the app completely.
But I don't think it should be doing this on a "normal" basis since it wasn't do this before when running the ATT stock.
could that may be causing the phone to heat up?
I was having that problem yesterday, wifi scan killing the battery.

thanks for reporting, I will give it a look after work this afternoon...cya on IRC
just posted to OP a patch to install visual voicemail for AT&T those of you who want it and also the ics and gb keyboards thanks to p4s for making it easy over on IRC.
The only "temporary" fix I know how to stop FTS (FilesTransferService) to eat up the CPU cycle is to:
1) If you have a program like Titanium Backup (paid), or System Tuner (paid), you can freeze and unfreeze it. It will stop
or try
2) Going in to Settings -> Wifi -> Wifi Direct and enable it for a few minutes and then turning off (but this method doesn't work 100% the time)
FTS/FTM/FTC is part of the WIFI Direct. As to why every time you reboot the phone the FTS goes to hell, still looking in to it.

i've never used hulu...does this zip work for our device? I will do some checking to see what all is affected and make sure it doesn't break something else in the rom. If the zip works, I really don't understand why it needs to be in the rom...not everyone uses hulu(example me).

Its basically just a hexedit on the libflashplayer.so. They change AND to WIN and the version to 99,9,999,999 type situation, so Hulu sees the mobile device as Windows and a high version number (to prevent saying the Flash player is out of date). It just gets overwritten the minute you update Flash through the market to a newer version. Personally, if people need this, they should be applying it themselves and not tampering with Flash binaries (which could affect other sites that are trying to determine mobile users)
There are other threads out there that detail the changes more thoroughly, that thread is just a "how to" posted by someone to take the trickiness out of it.
A slightly better solution in my mind is something like this thread which uses the official mobile app instead of hacking Flash. This one does work on our device too (tested by me):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1257277
I'm not saying it should be incorporated to the ROM, but people should just follow the link and use it if they need Hulu.

thanks you save me alot of research time. From my experience in the past, stuff like this needs to be added by the user who wants it...not forced on everyone who flashes the rom. If the zips don't work for our device, i don't mind making the edits myself and making a zip...but it won't be cooked into the rom.
For now, you can change the locale easily with MoreLocale2 Just create a new local label is en US and thats it. I will try to have this changed by next version.

I don't mind doing it, but first priority is getting the rom fixed up like it needs to be. In the mean time, you could always grab a hex editor and fix it yourself...romracer just made an excellent post telling you how. The boot animation and shutdown animation are in a samsung file that is a format i have never seen before(my first sammy phone), but from what i have read there are no tools to edit them.
These are my first priorities with the ROM:
1. get full conversion to AT&T USA--language, locale, etc.
2. work out any bugs that may be in the rom
3. clean it up and optimize it for performance
4. unlock stock kernel and make a few changes that will not affect stability(no oc)
when all of this is done to my satisfaction, then i will move on to more "cosmetic" changes. Please be patient...I work 50-60 hours a week, have a family, am a moderator here at XDA, and occasionally like to kick back and have a cold beer

I am in no way responsible for what you do to your phone. Use at your own risk!
At long last we now have a custom recovery for the LG Esteem, actually make that 2 recoveries, Clockworkmod and Raidzero.
RZR is a Release Candidates and CWM is official and can be installed via ROM Manger.
USB Mass Storage doesnt work!!.
CWM, boot isnt listed in mounts and storage, thus cannot be wiped manually. This is normal for some phones.
RZR, boot is listed but will not mount and wipe manually.
Both zips contain scripts for windows and linux, just download to your pc, unzip, and run the appropriate one for your OS. Both zips are All In One, meaning it will root and install CWM or RZR in one step.
Download zip to your computer
Unzip zip
Connect phone to computer via USB cable
turn on and put into Internet connection mode
run the install script for your OS
Booting into recovery with the button combo is a lil tricky (gonna work on this) vol +- and power from power off, it will boot to the LG Reset screen, press power 3 times, dont freak out, it wont erase your data
, and then recovery will appear. Some ROMs are already in the works n will be ready soon, one including reboot to recovery options in the power menu.
Button Combo: VOL +- and POWER, press power 3x at LG Reset Screen.
App - Quick Boot
App - ROM Manager - no other features will work until CWM is submitted and officially built with RM support by koush.
NOTE: Root now works with either ZVB or ZVC thanks to djrbliss!!! Be sure to show him your appreciation!!!
Now for the goods
LG-Esteem-Revo_AIO.zip - Official CWM build for the Esteem available thru ROM Manager!
NOTE: I will be updating RZR as I get the few issues left fixed, but after that I wont be supporting it due to what all I already have on my plate. It is a nice recovery tho with a ton of features. Not for the novice or complete n00b IMO tho.
People to thank other than myself
mtmichealson - dev - help and assistance with development.
interdepth- dev -Transform - help and assistance in brain storming to find n fix for reboot issue.
djrbliss - for the new root for ZVC. Be sure to show him your appreciation!!
DRockstar - for his wonderful scripts I based my shell script from n borrowed snippets for the batch file
koush - for his awesome recovery.
Raidzero - for his RZ Recovery.
Testers - they all deserve major props for testing, bricking phones, patience, and understanding I/we have a life outside of Android.
Image - bricked 1 phone, had replaced.
youngnex - bricked 1, had replaced.
vistor831 - also donated an esteem to the cause, may it RIP! Much appreciated bro!!!
Ære - donated the Esteem I am currently using to dev with, well with vistor831's screen lol, much appreciated bro!!!
ShinySide - 1 brick, BOUGHT a new one.
nuttmeg - bricked 1 phone, had replaced.
redhook
Bigboyyumyum - bricked 1, got it back 98%, had replaced.

If I miss anyone plz let me know so I can add you.
And again thanks guys, your testing helps more than most realize.

Hello all, we are working on porting CWMR to the LG Esteem. We have it booting and able to flash a boot.img. Problems we seem not to able to figure out tho is CWM reboot about 2min after booting into it resulting not being able to preform backups and testing of other functions.
Does anyone have insight to offer us on what may be causing the rebooting?

[KERNEL] Plague Overclock Kernel for LG Esteem MS910
no dedicated section yet, so i'll just add this in here
Ok folks, as we know have CWM working I can now post my custom overclocked kernel.
Its build from LG source and modified by myself with assistance from mtmichealson. It has a max oc of 1708Mhz (1.7Ghz) with scaling inbetween and even some lower settings added.
Its been running and very stable @1.7Ghz for all I know who are running it. It has 2 additional governors added, smartass2 and interactive. Smartass2 has been reported to revert back to ondemand or performance. I will correct this in a future build or make sure thats what its suppose to be doing.
I would like to thank our team of testers, they been a great help to me and mt, thanks guys!!!
The goods:
Plague Kernel
Download and copy to your sdcard and install with CWM or RZR. No wipes needed. Get SetCPU or similar app to set overclocking.
USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!! I am not responsible for anything you do to your phone!
Now we just need an esteem forum here on xda
i am looking forward to further development on this device!! i plan to purchase one soon and im more than willing to contribute!!!
Upon updating the Kernel. I noticed that the camera's UI has changed/ reverted to a earlier version. In my case its not allowing me to change the Megapixel settings. just giving you a heads up. I suspect this being the kernel because I have 2 Esteems. updated on with the plague. then updated the other phone got the same UI on the camera.
i cant seem to get into recovery after rooting.... am i just too slow?
Disregard that last message, i got recovery working fine and running the Esteemed rom as i type this, first i must say this rom is lightning fast... very stable and responsive. love it and looking forward to more development on this device!!!!

Great ROM! great work throughout. But I'm having some Bluetooth connectivity issues. The phone goes to "force stop" And never connects... I'm assuming your using the same Bluetooth files, so I find it odd that this is happening. should I re flash?

Yep, playing with it. With AOSP from CodeAurora, AOKP and CM9 also.
CodeAurora sources are working great since Acer used it as base, but for CM or AOKP it's more difficult, especially RIL part (telephony and data), like all Acer phone.

hey, i just bought the acer liquid glow and saw your rom. great stuff man, good to see that even for less popular phones there are still developers willing to invest time in making custom optimized roms.
however since you're pretty much the only developer building a rom for the acer liquid glow and i haven't found user reviews, i was wondering how well it functions. Any known bugs and such. Since we are with only a very limited group of phone owners i wanted to know how stable it is since i'm not a developer myself and dont want to bother you with noob questions on problems.
Furthermore, how is development coming along on the cm10?
once again great to see you working on this phone
Hi,
I tested the Glowing Liquid and I can say that it works really well It is rock stable and much quicker than the stock ROM it is based on. You won't be disappointed
How is CM9 coming ?
hey, i'm struggling with the rom. after i installed the zip through cwm i get the orriginal acer boot screen. however when jumping to the boot animation it crashes and it falls into fastbootmode indicating an error in the normal boot procedure. i'm restoring the phone now and see if it works if i start from the top again
did anyone experience a similar problem? any suggestions.
lastly, a new download of liquid glow is problematic, i get a box where i need to put in a password and username.
Did you wipe before installing the ROM ? If not that could explain the issue.
Try flashing again but use wipe data/factory reset, then use the wipe options in the advanced menu (dalvik, cache,...). That should do the trick.
As for download, Vache is experiencing a few issues with his server so just wait a little.

My liquid glow sometimes reboots on using Maps navigation and with Extended Settings (I notified the developer, we're looking into it).
I also have network problems sometimes but it might the coverage at my work place.
Has it happened to you ? And is it better with this ROM ?
I'm clearly having a blonde moment... How do I get into CWM after flashing it through fastboot? Without that, I can't flash this ROM...

Having many issues with wifi on the stock Rom (disconnects, authentication problems...) so installing your Rom now hoping this will be something from the past.
I have this phone for 2 days now, it's the second since I returned the first because of the wifi issues, this one has the same problem!!! Tested it on three different wifi accesspoints. I experienced more errors with WPA2 then WPA, but still very unstable. The rest of the phone: great for its price!
New version released
Why update me said that this rom is unsupported by update me?

I will complete this thread at a later time, but for the next month I'll have to study a lot , so maybe no time for uploading and completing thread.
You can disable the CRT animation. You go to Settings->Display->You turn off the Screen off animation.
I haven't found any bugs yet, everything works very smooth and even YouTube works! :good:
I think this is the best ROM for our "legacy" device

I think you can only flash it with CWM recovery.
All apps that work on GB, will work in ICS.
But the Play Store will show a lot more apps, but a lot of them will force close when you try to open them.
But in general, everything should be smoother.
ok. This rom is good. But it is slow when download from playstore. Thanks!
Thanks for CM9, i was looking for some stable rom
I will try this ROM and will let u know my findings
Thank you for porting this over. I have neglected my HTC Magic for quite some time now, finally got it out, dusted it and went through the flashing bits for this. Stable and much smoother than I expected to have on a (relatively) dated device. Are the processor options under 'Performance' settings disabled or is it meant to be on 'ondemand' all the time?

You can't change any options in Performance. I'll see if I can change that, because now, if the displayed CPU speeds are right, the CPU is constantly running on 710 Mhz when you used it.
Default cpu frequence 710MHz is not stable enough to bootup my phone, could you please lower down to 650MHz please?

Yes, I flashed it. During boot, cat /proc/cpuinfo get 710MHz and boot failed. After set it to 620MHz, it bootup success.
Your ROM works great, thanks!

Ok, thanks! I'll set it to a lower speed in next version.
I would really advise against overclocking by default. The majority of these devices can overclock to acceptable speeds, but others can't do much at all. My mytouch 3g, for example, would freeze at anything above 595mhz, and it was most stable at 537 or below. So even with that lower overclock you decided on, I still wouldn't be able to use this without modifying the rom.
There are plenty of ways to make this recommended, but optional. You could put an oc script in a separate zip to flash. Or you could start using the fancy Aroma installer. Ezterry's yesno binary is really easy to implement.

I didn't know the cpu was running at a higher speed. I thought it was a bug in performance section, who was showing the wrong speed, since my HTC Magic normally freezes at 710 Mhz.
It's been years since I last flashed a MyTouch3G (32B)... Just got back one that I'd gifted away two years ago, it decided not to boot around Christmas and I brought it home to wipe/reflash.
Glad to see work still being done on this old device! It's ahead of my G2X in Roms.. That's effin sad.
Now if I can just remember how you flash a kernel on this thing....
EDIT:
I'm a bit confused about the kernel.... the thread linked doesn't actually seem to be any specific kernel??? More "how to flash a kernel safely" and hboot/radio files. I already have the required hboot/radio! So which kernel do I use??
EDIT 2:
N/m.... can't be assed to sit here all night trying to figure out which kernel to use on an antique phone. Went with Gingerbread instead.

You have to take a working 32B kernel, preferably a flashable zip. The link in the opening post isn't directing to a kernel, but search for it in the G1 section and you will find a lot kernels.
ICS is much faster, so I would suggest you try it.
Can you point me into the right direction? My dad has an old Magic 32B with Radio 27.08. What Kernel should i use? Or what ICS Version are you talking about?
Thanks in advance.

Hey guys, PAC-Roms have made many bug fixes and added new features to 4.4.4 but they never uploaded a build that includes all of these changes. I've decided to compile it myself and share it here on XDA for anybody else who is interested.
I've made A few personal changes to the ROM which i feel improve the overall experience of using it and these are:
-Removed unnecessary apk's (Live wallpapers, Voice dialer, video editor)
-Replaced DSP manager with V4A for improved audio
-Built using -O3 level optimization
-dex optimizations (bigger zip file but better performance)
-Pipe flags (faster compile)
-Adaway
Replaced Trebuchet with Nova launcher
Replaced browser with tint browser
I've also decided to pair this ROM with Overkill kernel made by the Xperience.cyanogeN team for improved battery life, audio quality and performance.
some features include
-24bit audio support
-Low latency audio playback
-Faux Sound kernel modification
-Optimized Ram distribution methods
-Reduced read/write I/O cycles to eMMc
-Built with Sabermod toolchain
you can read more about their kernel at their original thread here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/development/xperience-cyanogen-projectoverkill-t2949592
This kernel works with most kitkat ROMs because of the anykernel method. Feel free to try it out.
Flash the zip I posted under kernel downloads to fix camera freeze or disable KSM. Thanks @itouchables for pointing that out
feel free to leave feedback and/or suggestions, enjoy!

Thanx for this built. Now there are some rules for posting in dev section. I hope you already read them. Asking the real owner thread or ROM is necessary while posting Any of their work. before posting you need to give proper credits. Its not like you unpack a ROM a piece of original work, do minor changes ,repack it and post it here.... Every thing has to complete its own way... So please re edit this post .....
