Ok guys, last night I was sitting watching the telly when the other half's samsung galaxy burst into life and started to play what I can only guess by what I was hearing was a guide for changing the anti-freeze on a car. We both looked at each other in puzzlement. I searched the phone and found absolutely nothing running that allowed this to happen, no you tube etc. Came to work this morning and told one of my work mates who then said the same thing happened to his Hudl? He didn't quite catch what it was that was playing but said it was definately someone's voice. He then said that after it happened his hudl would only display a black screen. My other half's phone seems to be fine?

At 6:09am [EST] this morning (5/16), I received a call from a colleague of mine who indicated that my phone had called him 4 times at different intervals (12:26am,2:09am, 5:28am, 5:29am). When I saw his incoming call, I was like why's he calling me this early in the morning? I told him that I didn't call him and that I was still sleeping. Has anyone experienced this with their windows phone?
I did looked on my phone after getting off the phone with Marcelo at 6:09am and I noticed that my phone also called someone else [Jillian K] at 1:04am.
The last time I called [Jillian K.] was 5/15 - 3:06pm and after that, I made 3 more calls to 2 other people yesterday. However, I have not called Marcelo at all in some time.Other than Marcelo being among the 10 recipients that I texted regarding a game schedule early yesterday [5/15] around 11am.
Has anyone experience this? Thanks for your input.
I have attached a picture of the outgoing calls (w/the 1 incoming call from Marcelo)
Maybe you are sleepwalking
OT: no never had that
Yeah, I only know of drunk people that call at all hours of the night.
However, unrelated, I've had a similar problem, where my HD7 is screen locked in my pocket, I'll receive and miss a call, which unlocks the screen, and then the phone goes crasy bumping against my leg. Last time I had 3 outgoing calls before I heard the phone about to leave a voice mail.
Worst part was I had the phone on the coffee table the whole night.. unless there's a ghost in my apartment. I did noticed few things today -- I had IE tabs on the phone (3-4) that I didn't open. Later this noon, I received an email from Bank of Ameri. that someone tried to access my account online and was unsuccessful. Did logged in to check and to change my pwd.
The last app I bought was gMsg and I used it briefly to message my soccer group about game time. so may be the app is misbehaving?
I'll observe again tonite..
Have you developer unlocked your phone? What OS Version are you running? Have you ever flashed a ROM? Edit: On a related note, are you the first owner?
Figure it out?
which web sites were opened?

weird. Your proximity sensor should have prevented this.
Nothing? I was really curious about this lol.
Do you have any "weird" apps installed that might be causing this ?
Either that or you got a bugged phone dude.

Someone been using your phone: there's no doubt left in my mind.
I posted this thread 5/16 and since then several things have happened. For those asking about version, unlocked n etc. I'll answer all in one swoop.
First my Hd7 is dev unlocked but only apps like walkman7, tvshow7, wifi shorcuts, and etc. Haven't even used those in a while.
software version: nodo (as of today - decided to wait for final Mango)
I've no kids or wifey. Girlfriend was away on company business that week unless she suddenly acquired supernatural powers to control my phone from where she was.
Since i reported this, i've sent my phone in for volume button wiggling issue, so my device has been software reset (factory). Haven't seen it since. Also, at the time when I reported this, at least for 2 months, my phone just randomly reboot itself. I haven't had that happen since getting my phone back from HTC for the volume button fix and re-config of my phone from factory reset.
All I know is a factory reset seem to have fixed it for me. Keep in mind that after the fact. reset, I still went back to dev unlock my phone again and it has been great since. YMMV.
So last year my girlfriend and I upgraded from Black Berry's, she decided to take the HD2 and I decided on the MyTouch Slide. I have been extremely happy with the slide, I have had no issues with the phone at all. Unfortunately with 2 kids the phone has taken a tumble a few times and the camera broke... well... more like stuck in a permanent macro state and the screen cracked on the lower right side, regardless the phone like a good trooper marches on.
Anyway while in San Francisco for the past week her HD2 starts having hardware failures, lockup, overheating, battery drains so she goes to the T-Mo store and they let us know we have 2 free upgrades. She see's this as a chance to jump into a new phone and picks up the Galaxy S 4G and asks me what I want... and well just from posting in here you know what I picked blindly... the G2X.
After 3 hours of use this morning I had 6 lockups, but the "turn never sleep on fix" seemed to work. Oddly with the WiFi on or off, as long as that option is set, it seems to be fine. I haven't used the WiFi yet so I don't know if this will hold true... but so far since 10am no lockups or freezes.
But here comes the question... Do I keep this phone? It's obviously has some software issues that need to be fixed. She just got this phone yesterday I can easily go in and get something else. I am looking at getting the Galaxy S 4G but I am not sure, now that the lockup issue is gone I like this phone ...
Opinions? The reason I am asking is because we were "promised" all this stuff the HD2 would be getting down the line and what a complete let down. I don't want the G2X turning into that, I just as well take the "lesser phone"(?) in the Galaxy S 4G if that's the case.
EDIT: As I picked it up after I typed all this it had locked up.... I'm exchanging, the hell with it. Sorry for wasting everyones time.
So while I was impaired, I managed to drop my skyrocket in a toilet about a month ago. Fished it out, dried it off for a couple days, thought it was fine when the radios started working again. First time I actually used if for a call after that the speaker seemed scratchy, so I just started using my work cell for voice calls because I didn't have the time to deal with it.
I finally looked at it again today, and from what I can tell neither the speaker nor the microphone work anymore, and I can't use headphones with it either. Bluetooth does work though, so if I really need to make a call on it, I can go out to my car and call from there... /o\
Edit: I just tested with the youtube and voice recorder apps, and they work fine. So it's something wrong with the phone app? I'm now really confused, since I was leaning toward it being a hardware issue, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
I called AT&T technical support and said I "dropped" it. They said that dropping voids the warranty anyway, and suggested a factory reset. Still no dice, so now I'm looking to the internet. Any suggestions?
its no doubt because you dropped it into water. If it powers on fine try taking it apart and giving it a good cleaning. Maybe corrosion somewhere. IDK, but thats what I would do
If this just happened I would have suggested using the rice trick, but seeing as how it was so long ago, im not really sure.
I just used google now.I used it on my phone and it used to work great. But when i used it on the infinity it came up with totally wrong and weird responses.Asking "How did Princess diana die?" came out as just "well".I mean most of the things i said came up as "well".Google Now worked perfectly on my phone so i am wondering what is wrong here?I tried it in different rooms. There were no ambient noise(It was yesterday night). And it still came up with weird results. If it recognises what i am talking ,the cards come up.But 90% time it was so wrong so much at one point,i was tempted to throw down my infinity.Does anyone else have this issue??Crappy voice recognition??
Seems to work great for me - even tried the "How did princess Diana die?" and it worked perfectly every time...

Sorry - working very well here, as good as my Nexus 7
how were you holding it? possibly covering one of the mics? another test i would try would be to simply record it and play it back to see if the unit is actually hearing what you're saying properly.

Hello,
Got my missus an S7 couple weeks back. I have noticed when we are on call with each other if she has the phone turned on loudspeaker I can barely hear her on my phone. Its so bad, can barely hear most calls so jittery.
Didn't expect this from the S7. Any one else noticed this or could check at some point. thanks.

Yes holy cow, me and my girlfriend got the S7 and have the same problem, loudspeaker is practically unuseable, crackling or cutting out and even when it is clear on a rare occasion the other party cant hear us due to cutting out, 4to5 bars on service and never dunked and since its both of our phones its definitly a phone issue, scouring every forum i can find for a solution. All i keep getting though is the stupid 10 common problems with s7 pages. Im so close to returning this pos. If i dont find a solution in the next week im returning and going back to using my nexus.

You can try to install a sound mod, but if it doesn't work then you are just one of the few unlucky who got a defected unit.
No problem here.
My speaker is too loud.
Problem here too
My problem happens when during conversation I turn my Speaker mode, the other side have trouble hearing me as my voice get "cut" - and on normal mode all is good.. any solution?
