First u have to check, on which partation on you are (download diskinfo app from play store)
If someone is wrong with partations like data, cache and system partation are different from each other like data on f2fs, cache on f2fs and
System on ext4 vice versa then this type of problems may occur
Then u have to format all u r partation to any one u preferred F2FS or ext4( but keep backup of all data in computer or usb)
And u r problem will solve 100%

Thanx for your response
Pls take a look at screenshot once and guide me further pls

Ok everything is on same ext4 partation
But to solve problem u have to repair u r file system again
Just go to the recovery and wipe data > and select data, cache and system > click on repair file system > and select ext4 again( or u can use F2FS as u r wish but u need f2fs supported rom and kernel to do this)
Hete is some guide to repair file system http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/help/convert-ext4-to-f2fs-t3189514
Note that u will loose all data on u r phone
So keep backup of all u r data and rom/ necessary files to computer
After formatting connect u r phone to computer transfer u r rom and mod files and flash them Again and set up u r rom
Now u r problem will be solved
NOTE: its a simple process but If u r know of how to repair file system then its ok otherwise do at u r risk!!!

[Q] Stock Rom + Partitions

First of all,i am really happy to announce (for those who came across with my desperate threads trying to solve my battery drain over 3G network issue) that flashing XXJPU Rom + Removing the partitions (swap + external extra storage) of my SD Card solved my problem. Battery is not draining anymore, and everything is working just fine with the stock rom.
The question is : Can i partition my SD Card again (to add internal storage, since i´ve came across the damn "Internal Storage is Nearly Full" message) ?
If yes, will i have to reflash the rom or , do anything else then just creating the partition using the Minitool software ?
Thanks in advance, and thanks again for those who tried to help me !
No need to make a new partition, extend the current one by minitool/gparted
I have o only one big partition used to store normal content. I need to make a new one to use as a extra internal storage space.. So i do need to partition it, all i need to know is if it will work and if i will have to do something else after partitioning it

If you create a partition on your SD Card as EXT2 ( i guess its EXT2 ) ,your OS will use it as internal storage.
Doing this, will solve the low internal storage issue.
I Just dont know if it works on stock roms,it does work on Kyrillos, inDroid, Sumee etc.
@OP i though u already had one partition when you said partition again
if your sd is as it is(just one partition)
then do this
flash g3mod
reboot into recovery
and partition
its the fastest way to get a partitio
then you can use an app2sd/data2sd script (system/etc/init.d)
Or if you have a card reader
use minitool/gparted to partition
shrink the existing one and make a new partiton(ext4)
and yea backup ur data, just in case!

Thanks for the reply : )
I will use minitool since i know how to use it.
After creating a EXT4 Partition, what will i need to actually tell my OS to use it as internal storage ?
Will i need to reflash rom ? Run any script (like Data2SD) ?
Also, is the Kernel or the Rom that actually recognizes the partitions and use them ?
EDIT : Hey @cdesai i just partitioned my SD using minitool creating a EXT2 Partition for internal storage upgrade.
Following again,this tutorial here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=SD_card_partitioning
Titaniun backup is not recognizing the extra space, what do i have to do now ?

Hmm.
ext4 would be a bit better but ext2 is also ok
now keep an a2sd script in /system/etc/init.d
there is a thread in dev section by kyrillos with the script and instructions, use it
or flash a custom rom which already has it
and yes you need a kernel with init.d support, but every custom kernel has that feature(cf-root,fugumod,g3mod,simplicity,etc.)

S2E the best for official CM.. :good:
as it is easy to configure and works superb.
search in themes section in fit for the apk and patch by pavel.
the best according to me is Int2ext4+ if you have an ext4 partition(if you partition the sdcard via cwm 5 its ext4) or you can uses int2ext+(its the same thing here 4 signifies that it supports only ext4) you will need to keep your partition size below 1gb but it maintains the speed of all processes and needs no configurations at all just flash a zip here is the link to its thread int2ext oh and its by a well respected dev called cronccorrey
a2sd-ext (moves /data to /sd-ext). Once flashed via CWM, then whole sd-ext memory will be ur phone memory.

{Need Help} Wipe data/Factory reset but internal storage is only 20 mb

I have rooted my PICO and tried custom roms
i have flash 3 or four roms in 1 day just to check which rom will be better for me and finally decided to flash cyanogenmod 9
after flashing the rom (without gapps) it show internal storage 150mb in total and 28mb used where as 51mb available i want to know where is 71mb remaining.
I used diskusgae it says setem data is taking up around 100 mb but there is no application installed.
I tried to come back at my stock rom and restore from backup but it is now showing 23 mb only which was 113 mb before.
I always use wipe data/factory reset before flashing new rom,
now i am suffering from low memory because if i flash gapps i will not have enough memory to use play store infact it says the process ended
do i have to change the kernal ??? or what is happened to my phone ? wipe data not working or what ?
Please help me ....

Increase internal memory in your stock rom!

Wishing to stay on stock rom can make you down with the memory ,, a number of roms offer internal memory improvement or increase using various script but if you arent satisfied with other roms :
You can stay on in your stock rom with internal memory increased
Pls proceed following the following procedure :
1. Get your boot loader unlocked and rooted with custom recovery installed .
for your ease pls use all in one toolkit as provided by hasoon2000 : link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2093137
2.download kernel
There are alot of kernels to choose but i suggest you to go with ng kernel by akya ; just download and place it on the root of your sd card
download from here : http://www.mediafire.com/download/6edtvdkgzx4c23b/NG_kernel.zip
3. Then poweroff your device and then press lock button and volume down button simultaneously then got to recovery section using volume buttons and then when it loads up select install a zip then flash the kernel then reboot
4. Now you need to get init.d support . Download the init.zip as per the link below and follow the instruction i provide there . After you do reboot !
5. PARTITION your sd card ( of any class.i.e 4,6,10 etc but its good when you go with class 10) to at least 512 mb or more for your ease !
For that go to recovery and got to advance and partition sd card . Select 1024 for 1gb and so on ...
pls follow the video if you get onto any difficulties
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sy0vv_VjiWg
5 .download the ungaze script (link is provided below ) Unzip the ungaze script in the root of your sd card . It will be easy if you name the folder
as "0" (zero ) .
6. Get root explorer from the play or just google it ! and then install the application
7. Then open the root explorer and permit root excess ! then scroll down and go to the sd card and then you copy the files from the folder as
02ungaze_init -> /system/etc/init.d
busybox_d2sd -> /system/xbin
e2fsck -> /system/bin
Then set the permission as per the following video

In init.d support the script can be added after reboot it the partition is absorbed using script so u can see the memory increased..

NEED HELP ?

Re-partition Xolo Q3000

I've modified EBR1 & EBR2 to increase the partition size as follows--
/system = 1 gb
/cache = 200 mb
/data = 4 gb
But, i'm unable to flash it, as neither I could create scatter file to flash it with sp flash tool, nor I could make a flashable zip to flash via recovery.
Please, give suggestions, what /system size would be better to suit our development needs.
Also, please tell me how could I create a modified scatter file to flash these EBR files via sp flash tools or please help me, to create a recovery flashable zip file.
Also, I'm trying to increase /recovery partition size.
I'll upload EBR files very soon with above mentioned sizes.
Thank you all, specially Dr. Avi for his roms, and lets be a team to make our Xolo Q3000 much better.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Finally, I've come up with the CWM flashable zip, with the partition size as follows-
/system = 1.5 gb
/cache = 200 mb

Mod with 1gb /system, 200mb /cache & 4gb data partition:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9c3NsdJ2PscMVowbWJtMVFsMnM/view?usp=sharing
Procedure:
1) Place zip in your sd card, don't keep any data on phone storage.
2) Reboot to recovery(TWRP v2.8.4.0 rev1 recovery is prefered)
3) Back up your current rom to sd card
4) Wipe system, cache, data, dalvik cache, android secure & emmc also.
5) Install downloaded zip file
6) Reboot
It will be a bootloop, don't panic, remove battery to power off, place it back and go to recovery by pressing vol up + power button.
7) Now, you may see some error related to cache/ recovery.....
8) Wipe system, cache, data, dalvik cache, android secure & emmc also. Error will disappear.....
9) Restore your previous rom or flash a new custom rom
x) Reboot
In case if, there is bootloop or any problem, don't panic, go to recovery and again format /system, /data, /cache and flash custom rom.
Now, we don't have to think of /system partition size to port ROMs.
It's an outcome of lot of hardwork, so please be gentle, even if you face any problem while re-partitioning & I'm here to see u, whatever ur problem is.......................
Special thanx to:
Keanu_ritz & Tirta.agung for their guide,
Digyvijaykumar123 for CWM flashable zip &
Dr. Avi for his co-operation & appreciation.
If you appreciate my work, just press thanks button.
Flash at ur own risk, I'll not be responsible for bricked devices............................

Very good initiative.
Thanks.
1 gb system partition is more than enough for development.
u can get recovery flashble zip from this link. just replace EBR files.
U dont need separate scatter file for flashing for the first time.
After flashing u need to create new scatter file using mtkdroid tools which has to be used for further flashing.
Also this link is useful.

I've already mentioned, it would be a boot loop, but you don't have to worry.
read the procedure carefully and follow the steps, you will get the partitions same as in screenshots.

Ohhh
great.
I already tried.
If u know any method please share.
Following dont work-
changing scatter address (rom get flashed but it wont boot in recovery if its more than 6mb)
changing mbr file ( i already tried)
My conclusion - its related to uboot.bin which is device specific.:good:
Best luck:good::good:

I think we hv to calculate, binary values for every partition after, if recovery partition is changed and scatter file should be corrected accordingly......
