Case with extra big camera button for gloved use? - Xperia Z1 Compact Accessories

Hi, does anyone know of a case that improves on the camera button?
I need to be able to launch the camera with thick gloves, which is impossible due to the tiny button. Some case which adds a big fat bubble of some sort that is easy to feel and press with mittens.
I doubt there exists something but I am asking anyway, who knows. Now I am thinking about DIYing something with a cheap case and sugru.

Screen (Slider) Way Too Loose [SOLVED]

My fuze screen has became way to loose in the closed position. To provide a better example its like its got a hinge and wants to flip open rather then slide open. There is way too much up/down movement that way. Its so loose that when it vibrates the screen will vibrate on the casing and it makes or horrible rattle sound that makes me cringe every time I hear it. I have to hold the phone tight in my hand to stop the rattle. The weight of the screen will actually cause it to partly open by just flipping the phone over and holding the back.
Aside from duct tape, any good ways to fix this or tighten the mechanism that holds it position?
I have a similar problem but not as severe. Mine is just a smidge loose and when I press down on the side of the screen it slides a few millimeters and it's really annoying when I hold the phone. Any help fixing would be appreciated.
yea same here, it's not annoying but I don't trust it

When I originally mentioned duct tape, I was being sarcastic. Ironically, however, this is my fix to this problem.
I used the Gorilla Tape brand, because that's what I had. All I did was put three pieces of black gorilla tape on the back of the slider. This tightened it up, and stopped my annoying rattle. Pretty simple and easy fix.
Also, it made the snap feel when it slides out much more firm, and I really enjoy the feel of it much more now.

[Q] Button problem (read to get an idea)

So there is this thin plastic-ish strip on top of the button ic but under the physical button, just open your back cover and you'll have an idea of what i am talking about, it has this black center and is goldenish color the rest.
So, I was opening the cover and that 'thing' from the power button and volume + button fell off, I didnt pay much attention, but now those 2 buttons wont work on there own, still I can get them to work by opening the cover and using something pointed, so as far as the IC or the chip or whatever it is, is still fine.
I need some suggestions on some makeshift ideas on how to fix it so the buttons will work with the cover on. Also if possible, anybody know if the mobile guys fix it and how much it costs? Dont worry about where you live, I just want to have a rough idea I dont like walking in to a mobile mall and feeling all dumb
Thanks in advance, and the other thanks you'll all receive anyway for helping

Well, you can easily fix it yourself if you are a bit smart. Just try to stick a box shaped paper tape at that place where the plastic broke off from.
Cut tape in a small rectangle. Then cut that rectangle into many small pieces of same size and form a small rectangle. Then stick them to the place where "that thing" came off.
You can also use a double end sticky tape but usually the thickness is defined so I am not sure if that will help.
HTC Sensation is an old phone however, you should easily find old bodies/ new cases to replace your current body.
Good Luck
Thanks my explorer had a similar problem Its original back cover's buttons worn off, so I folded up a piece of paper and stuck it there and used a cover over the worn out back case. With sensation there is no way to make the paper stay in the same place, i didnt think of paper tape or double sided tape, will give it a shot.

Case to better hold Tab S 10.5 in Portrait form?

I really like the Tab S 10.5, but my main only real gripe (aside from the speakers and bloatware) is that its not easy to hold it in portrait mode. One of the long sides has the volume buttons, which somewhat get in my way when I grip that side, and the other side has the capacitive buttons in the middle
Does anyone use a case that makes it easy to hold it in portrait mode?
Thanks!
I don't know any cases in particular but there are some that have a hand strap along with it, I think that will the best for you since you'll be holding it in portrait mode, the strap will really help you and you can just rest your hand while holding it.
Sent from my SM-T805
YMMV, but I got a much better grip on it once I put it in a Otterbox Defender.
I think the ridges let me get better leverage.
It's still not perfect, and depending on how I hold it, I still hit some of the buttons, but it's better.
I also use CM11 and use the on-screen buttons and have disabled the capacitive ones, though...
Hello, just thought I'd share my experiences.
I used the roocase origami for one week, before I've swapped over to the poetic turtleskin which I've been using for the last few days now.
The roocase was OK, but not comfortable in portrait mode for a long period of time, but did cover the screen well. Instead I've now gone to the poetic turtleskin and IMO that is much easier to hold in portrait. It's chunky but got a nice grip to it. The only negative is it doesn't cover the screen, so I may have to look into a screen protector.
I got the T805 LTE.
Cheers
I read comics on mine and so I'm constantly holding it in portrait mode. The solution that I found best was to just do the mod that disables the capacitive and home buttons and uses the on-screen buttons. That way, the buttons move to the bottom of the screen in portrait, the tablet doesn't have any extra bulk/weight, and I can still easily dock it in the keyboard. Your mileage may vary, but this worked great for me.
I recently ordered the fyy case from Amazon and am waiting for it to arrive this weekend probably :]
(sorry no link because under 10 posts)
It has a really nice design, so I hope the build quality is already good. I think this might suit your needs.
EDIT: I just got the case, but my first impressions of it aren't that great....
It has a nice, sturdy outside, but the cover moves around a lot and doesn't feel secure. Also, the fitting for the tablet isn't the greatest, but that might just be a defect in mine. Personally, I don't use the tablet in portrait mode a whole lot, so I don't feel like this would be the best case for me. However, if you feel that the ability to rotate the case into portrait mode is more important and outweighs the fact that it feels somewhat flimsy and has an imperfect fit, go for it. Otherwise, you might as well resort to one of those cases with a strap to hold it in portrait mode or another case entirely.

Looking for case that improves/faciltates camera button presses

Hi
I'm looking for a case that improves the use of the camera button. Because personally I think you need to put way to much pressure on the camera button for it to reach the full click. I usually move the phone because of this and the picture is not sharp. I know Sony adressed this with the Z3C, the buttons on that device are easier to press.
I wish there was a case which has a larger button covering the camera button, so we would need to press less hard.
Most cases I even either have a cutout, which would make it even more difficult to press the button or have a same size button covering it.
Anyone encountered something like this?
Hey!
I personally purchased the Case-Mate Tough Case and I couldn't ask for a better one, it's perfect imo, also it makes the camera button A LOT more pressable (though it does not have a cut-out for the dock, but idc for that)

essential cover for the phone

There wasn't a lot of covers out there for this phone but i had to get one cause I don't want to risk damaging it after a fall, i decided to go with this one attached. And i couldn't be any happier! Not only does it protect my phone but it's made it easier to use. Because of the phones design with the screen going right to the edge of the both the sides, top and bottom (although it's nice having a big screen) i found myself accidentally touching the sides while holding it a lot. Much more of an issue playing games in the horizontal mode and this was a big downside for me. As well as one hand typing was really hard with the screen being so long and the keyboard at the bottom it was just hard too type and hold the phone in one hand. This case ended up solving those issues for me by my surprise. The case doesn't take up any of the screen but because it adds a little length and width it stops me from accidentally touching the screen on the sides. And for one hand typing I'm able to sit a finger in the ring at the back turning one hand typing from near impossible to the simplest thing ever. This sounds a lot like an add haha but i just want to share my experience with people because it's made the phone a lot more enjoyable for me. You don't have to get the exact one i did, any case with the ring at the back should do just as good.
TLDR: get a case with a ring stand at the back.
Looks like a good case, do you have a link for it?
