Recovery INFO
The salient features of Carliv Touch Recovery include:
Based on CWM 6.0.4.4
Full Touch Support
With features of Cannibal Open Touch
Aroma File Manager Support
Support for both Edify and Amend scripting allows flashing all ROMs
Touch screen button controls
Advanced Backup
Advanced Restore
Delete old backups
Persistent settings
User-defined backup locations
ADB Sideload
Update CTR v2.5 (30/07/2014)
Changelogs:
New Menu Layout
Tar + Gzip Backup Compression : ( "Backup/Restore" -> "Default Backup Format" )
Your Backups will be smaller now, just like on the old native CWM
Removed "wipe all" option from wipe menu ( if you need to wipe system, use "format system" from "mounts/storage")
Rearanged menu order in root menu to restore CWM order
There's now an "nvram backup/restore" menu in "carliv" section
The nvram partition will be backed up in clockworkmod/backup folder as nvram.img. This will help if you lose IMEI and other communication features. It will work only if you have the nvram partition of size 0x500000 (check your scatter) and if you have the nvram defined as /dev/nvram path in recovery.fstab. If the nvram partition is damaged (as in flashing an oversized recovery) this will not help you, and you need SPFlashTools to reflash with format your phone official firmware, and after that flash this recovery, boot in recovery and restore nvram.
some other small changes.

Hi
You guys are all crazy with the MTK leaked sources, but do you even have an clue what those sources are?
You cant just compile an source that's customize for other phone , thinking it will work on yours.
There's a lot of work to be done, and you need an huge amount of luck to have your phone drivers available in that source.
This said, I will appreciate that people avoid off-topic and other phones talk in this thread.
This ROM and recovery will only work on wiko darkmoon and Micromax a200 (clone).
If your using this ROM as a base for another MT6582 phone, please be an gentlemen and give proper credits.

Great work, thanks.
Do you know by any chance if there is any option to add languages to this rom? Wiko doesn't include many languages. I can use locale2 from google play, but that only translates some of the functions.

Hi
Yes i know, when i made a MIUI rom for my old ZTE v970, i had an hard time trying to find the proper strings for your language.
Even on stock roms from big brands, its very rare to find support for that language.
Im trying to merge and revise some strings from various sources, maybe in an future version.

Great, that would be awsome.
As for rarity of my language, I find it quite well supported. Google Nexus has it, all Samsungs have it, so does HTC, Sony... I know Prestigio and Gsmart have it. CM also. It's not a big deal, but nevertheless - I wouldn't mind having it
Great ROM btw, very customizable.

Hi
Well good news and bad news
The good:
I managed to Build an UNOFFICIAL Lewa Rom for our device, currently fixing the lastest issues and adding multi-language support.
So since im currently working on this language strings, might as well use that work for this rom also.
Preview pics:

Http://imgur.com/1IADxZx
Http://imgur.com/1C56EO6
The bad:
From what i gather until now, only about 100 slovenian strings are compatible (this is less than 5% of overall translation files), will keep looking

So is this ROM fully functional? I mean no bugs? For English language.. I could test it on my Turbo mini
This is a Clockworkmod modified (very) recovery.

Update (21-apr-2015):
This is the last batch of builds for porting. I won't do that anymore.
- new GUI theme;
- an extra version with swipe touch support;
- cleaned up the source code;
- reset battery stats option;
- wipe all - preflash option;
- removed nvram backup/restore because it can corrupt the bootloader;
-full track of changes here.
I used it as base for my touch recovery. Basically is a CWM 6.0.3.7 for jellybean and CWM 6.0.5.1 for kitkat modified by me with many extra features.
- aroma file manager menu
- rainbow mode menu
- separate power menu
- separate wipe menu
- nvram backup/restore menu
- advanced backup/restore menu
- toggle signature, toggle md5sum.
To port it follow my new guide from here
All screenshots are made with my new tool from here.
For jellybean version currently there are two lunfile paths in the world of mtk phones. This will make your USB Mass storage to work in recovery or not. Search that path in your device to see what you have.
Lunfile path 1 (old): "/sys/devices/platform/mt_usb/gadget/lun%d/file" - this can be found in many devices mt6572, mt6589, mt6589T, and other old ones.
Lunfile path 2 (new): "/sys/devices/platform/mt_usb/musb-hdrc.0/gadget/lun%d/file" - this is related to new devices mt6582, mt6592...
Find where is your path and download the image to port from correct section.
Depending of your resolution width, choose an image which contains exactly that value or one close to it, and follow the tutorial to port it.

Usually that means the recovery is bigger than the recovery partition. It happens in some devices with an unusually big kernel (I saw kernels with 4.7 Mb for a recovery at 6 Mb - not much room for ramdisk). Other thing is if you use MobileUncleTools to flash it - this doesn't work in some cases, and you need to flash it with SPFT. Remember, if you have a small partition, any recovery bigger than 5.9 Mb (you need some reserved space) will not work. You can try to shrink some images, or to replace them with blank dummy pngs, but not for stitch and buttons. These have to remain in rgb format, otherwise you have that black screen again, and the phone will reboot to system.

My device's recovery partition got 6MB. Ported recovery got 5.4MB.
I actually used MobileUncleTool to flash, then I tried to flash using SPFT.
Same issue, black screen. Need to reinsert battery to reboot.

Try to access the recovery log from temp directory (cache/recovery/last.log), after that happens. If there is nothing there, than the phone didn't even boot in recovery, otherwise you will see where it's stuck.
I think it actually didn't boot recovery.
Log's showing what I did when I was still on Stock Recovery. (Wipe data/cache)
Even the .prop values are using stock ones. (I changed adb secure, debuggable, etc in the one I ported.)

All my recoveries are compiled on cm-10.1 building environment and in theory they will work better with kernels built for android 4.2 top (in these builds are missing sepolicy files and all selinux related files), but some users report that they used it for flashing and backup lenovo kitkat (vibeUI something) and it was successfull. I can't test that, but my advice is if you have an official Android 4.4 mtk powered phone, I'm sure the recovery partition is bigger than 6Mb, and for that I would recommend you PhilZ recovery if you want to stay on CWM base, or TWRP. I made my recoveries with only one reason in mind: to be small enough to fit a recovery partition of 6Mb.
Thanks for the explanation. What's about Androdi 4.3 compatibility? Like 4.4 ?
Recovery compatibility
Android 4.2.x - OK
Android 4.3.x - ?
Android 4.4.x - ?
Note: personally I like the non touch recovery.
Do you have a link for Philz recovery for Mediatek chipset?
Thanks again.

I think it should work in Android 4.3 but I have no feedback on it. The reason is there are very few mtk devices with Android 4.3 or 4.4 (real not spoofed), and I didn't tested personally any of them.
For PhilZ recovery you can check his official thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2201860 , that support mtk devices nativelly, but you must compile it in cm-11 source,
or the mtk dedicated one started by my friend @yuweng here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2748169
The PhilZ recovery require many times a recovery partition bigger than 6MB.
In many acses teh recovery partition is limirted to 6MB.
For this if you can create your recovery from CW11 (compatible with KK) you can sue it.

If a mtk phone gets Kitkat then I assure you the recovery and boot partition will be increased by producer in that firmware along with the new kernel. The 6Mb partition is specific to 4.1.x-4.2.2 devices. For these even my recovery, if it's built in CM11, will oversize 6 Mb because of the new modules.
gzip support
Thanks for this non-touch version! Can you update to include the gzip support as in the latest touch version? Thanks.

CWM Recovery MTK 6.0.3.7 carliv non-touch
Hi all!
I just combined some scripts to have a auto make custum recovery.
It is based on BM / michfood / yuweng / carliv work! Version 2014-06-29. See beginning of this thread.
Thank you!
usage: cwmr.bat stock-recovery.img
MTK6575 and MTK6577 tested. May work with MTK6589... (option 3 -> MTK6577)?
It is a question if fstab is matching. It is complete batch source, so you can adapt to alternate partition tabel.
Have fun!
EDIT:
What I did:
I took "old lunfile path" "normal font" file from carliv first thread, I extracted it and added to some old scripts from yuweng (I cannot find anymore to download). I tested it and made it public to all.
The latest CWM is 6.0.4.4 and Carliv release this update. Should be possible to aplly it?
Well, I am not sure about what I understand. You can use my upload and mod it any way you like. I hope to have helped to get latest CWM Recovery.

There is only one way to make it better is custom roms for it you need to root your device & flash custom cwm recovery

these issues about bluetooth and wifi is normal in first use, you need advance without enable bluetooth, wifi and SIM Card in "First steps" screen, after this and after restore IMEI data, these problems will desappears!
let me hear again: if you flash this firmware without MBR and without preloader of this package, but with stock firmware MBR and preloader files you can make this rom works?
*edit: you can help uploading these files and I will add to rom package

yep, there's something with the pincode being wrong entered, but there's no option of re-entering it. The wifi option will show wifi turned on, but there are no routers to be found. The logo on top of the sim doesn't show connection.

very strange, you have the same Mlais M9 with 4.4.2 and with chipset 6592M... and i reinstalled the firmware following the steps. you need change preloader and mbr to make rom works right?
if you replaced the preloader and mbr of stock rom, i think that you need use adb push and copy some files from stock to tesla os rom.
try follow the guide, but use your stock rom files before use mtkrom's files:
http://www.mtkroms.com/2015/07/bug-solving-cm-12-for-mtk.html
try upload the changes after you fixed some issues!
I will port the pure CM12.1 BETA6 to Mlais M9 later, i'm if you need another support...

It says something about copying files from etc map from system.img from stock to the cyanogenmod 12.1 rom. However the system.img from your cyanogemod rom seems to be read-only, so i can't copy the files. Can you make it read and write? This should fix the wifi issue.
*edit: copied the files for wifi,bluetooth and sim through es file explorer from the stock to the cyanogenmod 12.1 , but isn't working yet.

could just copy the files to the sd card, put the sd card in the Phone and copy them to the data/etc map. Just replace the existing files. Then rebooted the device, but still no wifi. Should be the same result as doing it with adb push like you say. Maybe there still is difference between the kitkat (rom) and the lollipop (rom), incompatiblities i mean.

Okay! I have an idea, i will split the rom and the firmware.
I will upload two files: ROM and the Firmware.
The firmware package will used to flash compatible lollipop scheme in the device.
and the rom package, used to flash the Tesla OS under recovery.
doing this, the issue about read-only rom files can be resolved...

What is post here is not my work. So if any issues, please dont blame me :
After purchasing Le Max phone, my search was for a good custom ROM. That search finally landed up in Evolution series for Le Max. The person who created the custom ROM is STEVE MARS. You can get the details in his blog. But here I am reposting.
The current stable Evolution ROM is 11S . In his words :
"Evolution series for Max LeTV X900: Evolution 11s Multilanguage
Good afternoon. Thanks to the work of supercowz, XDA Forero, have included in the translation multilanguage Evolution 11s. Thank you from here your permission to use it in my rom. 'Thank you, mate ¡¡¡ Therefore, I present Evolution Multilanguage 11s.
The facility will be provided through the TWRP Recovery. I recommend before installing any ROM make a backup of that you may have currently installed. If something goes wrong, or you do not like, always able to restore it . NOTE: For those who have installed any other version of Evolution, can make a backup only the DATA partition, and once installed the 11s restore that partition, so back to all its applications and settings.
How to install:
1. Download the Rom: Evolution 11s Multilanguage
2. Download the gapps:
3. Download Speed Overseer
4. Download Dolby Atmos
5 . Copy the files unpacked to the root of the phone's memory.
6. Enter TWRP and perform a Factory Reset: we're going to Install and select the ROM.
7. Immediately after, you give it to insert more ZIP and select the OpenGAPPS.
8. If you want to also install L Speed and Dolby Atmos (recommended) you add to insert more ZIP files for all installed at once.
Download Files :
Evolution 11s Multilanguage
GAPPS
Speed Overseer
Dolby Atmos
Happy Flashing
Thank you for this Information!
I am willing to purchase the Mobile please guide is it worth as I am flasholic. Any fastboot/ unbrick ROM is available for this model please help
