I'm struggling so much to decide whether to get the Z5 or the Nexus 6P. Are there others out there having the same problem?

I'm also unsure. I worry about the future of Sony and since I live in the US I worry about lack of support. I think I'm gonna wait till I see some reviews of the 6p first.

really think it depends. If I could have a 6p in a smaller phone size I would! z5 is the only flagship that isn't huge
I also have both phones preordered but I think that I will cancel z5 and wait for 6p. Reason is that the camera and battery life on z5 aren't what I was hoping for

I'm probably gonna get a Z5 (dual sim model) from Asia. You're on the Z5 forum... you really think anyone here would choose the 6P instead?

I'm just curious why Motorola wasn't tapped to produce the Nexus 5, given the Google acquisition. I trust the hardware that Motorola produces a lot more than LG. (Too bad Nokia couldn't build it!)
Anybody know anything about this? Do you think they'll build the Nexus 6?

I think it's because they fear legal action, I think we will see a Motorola nexus only when all the major manufacturers have a play edition phone.

Huawei, Oppo, who else is missing?
Here we don't have any play edition phone, anyway for what I know there's only Samsung and HTC, maybe even Motorola but I'm not sure... LG and Sony are missing...

Huawei and Oppo are crap, LG barely makes it outta the crap zone thanks to Google for handing them the Nexus contract.
I hope next Nexus is made by Sony or Moto.

I'd pay an extra few bucks for a Sony-built water resistant Nexus.
So would I, my last fav Nexus was Nexus One, Im sure Sony can top that.

sony android phones are big battery eaters..
i dont think they can make good nexus phones..
I've never though highly of Motorola but I would be ok with a Nexus phone made by them.
Motorola? Never again! Remember the Atrix 4G? It was the first flagship phone with 1G memory and a fingerprint scanner. And it is still on Gingerbread. After putting the phone on the market they just ignored it, basically telling owners to buy a new phone if they wanted Ice Cream Sandwich. Bought my first Nexus with Jelly Bean and never looked back.

I'm so blinded by Z5 everywhere I didn't even realize that said X5 until I read your response. Remember the X5 Pureness? Tough phone to obtain, very limited production.

I love the MXPE! It's a great phone. With that being said, I'm returning it. I got a Nexus 6 at an incredible deal. I had planned on reselling it but after opening the box and trying it out, I just like it better. I'm coming from a Droid Turbo and I loved Qi charging as well as the AMOLED display. I've previously had all the Samsung Galaxy S series phones along with a Nexus S. I'm spoiled to the AMOLED displays. The MXPE is easier to handle and the screen is plenty big. It's just nice to have the ability to sit my phone down on the TYLT charger at night rather than look for the dang cord that always seems to fall between the night stand and the bed. Plus, I'm on call. When the phone rings at 3am, I feel like I'm going to rip the cord out of the phone when I answer. If this phone had wireless charging and an amoled display it would definitely be a keeper for me. I got the Nexus 6 when the deal was running on ebay for $299(new). It was hard to pass up that deal

Xperia Z5 seems to be a really good option and seems to beat N5X in almost every department.
But if I were you I would still go for N5X. The UI fluidity and development offered on Nexus lineup is unbeatable.
Also for a poweruser the revised 810 chipset might suffer heating issues but 808 chipset has absolutely no complaints yet.

See... I love the spec of the Z5 but there's a lot of bad reviews about for its camera, which is supposed to be one of its main features! I don't play games on my phone so heat would never be an issue regardless.
But the 5X doesn't really seem much of an upgrade from the 5 from what I'm seeing. But i do love my Nexus 5 on how fast it always is

I totally agree with 5X not seeming to be that huge an upgrade. But if Z5 suffers from bad camera then that defies the primary reason to switch to Xperia. So why not consider a different option altogether OnePlus Two?
(IMHO I wouldn't switch to OP2 but it's a good phone from what I hear)
I would keep N5 till thanksgiving or later till I get a good deal on N6P. Hopefully by that time N6P reviews would shed light on how its metal body holds up with the 810.

It does, however, first batch of production suffers from a manufacturing flaw whereby the left edge of photos is blurred out compared to the right edge. Once this is corrected, it will be a fantastic camera. I'm really hoping my second Z5C doesn't have the camera issue, just sent my first one back for an exchange.

Yes. Both. There are reports from users on these forums with the regular Z5 with the problem.

I'm sure it'll be fixed, it's just a question of how long. It's worth noting that not everyone's Z5s have the issue, it's not affecting all units, just some of them (it's a lottery currently).
It's like there's currently no phones out there worth actually upgrading to. Seems to be more and more bad reviews on the Z5 which is such a shame

I got the Z5. I'm happy with it! Still got my N5 as a backup, but daily is the Z5. Stuck it in the sink, it's sooo weird putting a phone into water lol. It goes against anything you know

It's the software optimization and reliability performance. Sony knows best about battery optimizations and the navigation bars are in the right place. lol
I had both. I like the Sony better and returned the S7 Edge.
In my honest opinion both phones are not that great. The s7 edge is a beautiful phone but TouchWiz is still not great for me. Too much performance in a smartphone and still not being utilized for the best usage. The XZ has a little bit nicer design, software is great. The front facing camera is superb. The back camera is worse than I expected. Stereo speakers have so low volume you'll be crying if you listen to music. But overall, choosing between the two I would choose the Sony.
