I love the MXPE! It's a great phone. With that being said, I'm returning it. I got a Nexus 6 at an incredible deal. I had planned on reselling it but after opening the box and trying it out, I just like it better. I'm coming from a Droid Turbo and I loved Qi charging as well as the AMOLED display. I've previously had all the Samsung Galaxy S series phones along with a Nexus S. I'm spoiled to the AMOLED displays. The MXPE is easier to handle and the screen is plenty big. It's just nice to have the ability to sit my phone down on the TYLT charger at night rather than look for the dang cord that always seems to fall between the night stand and the bed. Plus, I'm on call. When the phone rings at 3am, I feel like I'm going to rip the cord out of the phone when I answer. If this phone had wireless charging and an amoled display it would definitely be a keeper for me. I got the Nexus 6 when the deal was running on ebay for $299(new). It was hard to pass up that deal
Zero point to this, mod will close this in 3 2 1....

I don't know if this has been posted before, but I've been looking for a case that is Minimal and still shows off the back of the phone. I came across this one and went to look at the prices available... than I looked at the last option... $104,921.73!!!!! I HOPE this is a seller error... I really do hope... I just thought this was funny and I would share with fellow Nexus 4/XDAers. Have a good one.
Actually it says $13,99.
Or maybe the dollar devaluated again...
Edit: OMG just saw it! What a silly way to say you're out of stock...

Got mine yesterday! Great case i have to say. Highly recomended!!! :good:
And they have the nerve to charge 5¢... Lol
Ehh the rest of the shipping and handling cost is in there somewhere!

I was thinking if ANY case is that much it better have an extra 3,000mh (if that's the right abbreviation) battery built in, signal boosters for both WiFi and Cell Data/Radio, pure diamond and/or hardened steel, light-weight, and have an extra voice assistant that knows you by name and balances your checkbook.
Side note, I am thinking about this case but does it add a lot of extra bulk to the device?

Well, i've moved on from the s3 2 days ago. Traded a guy on craigslist for a galaxy nexus. It's been an amazing 7 months and that's why i'm making this thread to thank all the devs and the community for making it such an awesome device, it was the 1st phone i used that actually felt like an upgrade from my og inc

I hope it wasn't a straight trade and you needed extra money.
Nah I got a new otter box with it and 100$ so I think I did pretty okay. My main complaint about the s3 was the build quality. The nexus fells way more sturdy. And I couldn't stand the capacitive and home buttons either.

I came from the nexus to the S3. They are both great phones and I do miss the nexus sometimes but I am so thankful for the devs here. I think it was a good trade.

Good luck, I came from the GNEX. The terrible camera, bad battery and iffy signal made me jump to the S3. Even with those issues I still contemplated going back to one. There is just something sweet about owning a Nexus device.
Anyway, I am holding out for either the Moto-X as long as it will have stock Android and be updated like a Nexus device, otherwise I am going to the next Nexus to come out and if not on Verizon, then I might jump ship to T-Mo.

I didn't take into consideration development. All I really know about the phone is that the battery lasts maybe 6 hours...
100$ is nothing tbh when you're investing in something you'll use every day....
I don't think 200$ is even relevant. At 300 the argument could start to be made but I think the cost/use ratio makes the extra couple hundred negligible at best.
Economics ruined my life

VZW 32GB GNexs' still fetch between $150-200 on Craigslist, so $100 included in the deal comes fairly close to what 16GB S3's are currently fetching, which is on average $280-300.
As far as battery life is concerned, YMMV.....when I had a GNex, and was running a custom ROM/Kernel combo, the battery life was on par with what I'm getting on my stock s3.
I'm sure we can both agree to disagree on many aspects of the OP's deal, but he definitely didn't make a head-scratching decision.

I believe it's only looking grim because there's been very few public updates on the situation. There are currently talented devs working hard to try and make this happen.

^^ Likely due to all the bickering and digressions...
Understand the frustration cause there are no updates at all. That's just the nature of rooting I guess.
When the 4s was being jailbroken at least we would get periodic updates via Twitter.
Have no doubt the s5 will be rooted though. The devs here are extremely talented. And rooting gets done way quicker than jailbrakes so it's relatively a short time if you look at it that way.
My 2 cents.
Paid 2 bounties for the HTC one and I will pay this one too.

I agree. I'm 100% happy with my choice of switching to the M8. Great phone.
I also want to switch to m8 but camera is not good with m8, I guess I just gonna stick little longer with s5.
I've had little issue adjusting to no root with the S5 and am quite happy with the purchase.

I too, bit the bullet, and bought an M8. Which, except for the camera, I'm loving. Still keeping an eye out here, in hopes that the S5 finally gets cracked, but for now I can feed my flashing addiction, and cured my jones for a new phone.

I'm back LOL. I traded in the Note 3 last week for another S5 and I'm here to stay this time. Root will come sooner or later. The good side of not having root is the phone must be pretty secure. No one has to worry about Kingo or Vroot stealing info or spying. I agree, the camera is great on this phone. I was having a tough time taking good pictures of my black dog with the N3 but they come out nice with the S5.

Hi folks I am considering buying a nexus 5. Currently have a moto X and I'm happy with it. However I missed the stock Android and Nexus experience. They're all kinds of pros and cons with this phone as you all know. I guess after all this time, do you think the phone is still worth purchasing? Main reason being is the next Nexus is a matter of months away. What would you owners say? Thanks.

battery isnt bad. but it all depends what your signal quality will be like, how you set it up, what apps youbuse, and how you use your device. i personally see about 4.5-5.5 hours screen in time.

As Midnight_Rider Put It... In A Matter Of 6 Months... I Just Used My Jump Upgrade and Went From A HTC One M7 > Note 3 > iPhone 5s Gold (Worst Decision I Ever Made In The Handset Division... The IPad Is Cool But Not The Phone) and Now I Have The Nexus 5...
As Stated Before... Best Decision I Ever Made In The Mobile World In A While. I've Had the Nexus One & the Galaxy Nexus... Minus the Nexus S As I Wasn't On Sucky Sprint But Now That I Have the Nexus 5... I Can Clearly Admit That I'm Thrilled To Be Back To Pure Google, Unlocked, Unrestricted and On the Un-Carrier and the Nexus World.

Great phone you won't regret !
Have anybody notice how responsive is the screen on this thing? Sometimes I barely touch the screen, and it detects it. I'm very happy with the phone. Coming from the Note 4, and loving it so far. Even the battery life, that had me worried for a while. But now, loving it!
Yeah i noticed the same thing as you. You can pretty much hover your finger over and icon and it will open the app. Pretty damn sensitive.

I was thinking the same thing. I loved the G4, but the screen was just too unresponsive. I also never realized how much more I enjoyed a button on the front and sides. Much more useful for motorcyclists who dock their phone on the handlebar.

Yep also upgraded from a G4 which has horrible screen responsiveness. Only thing that bothers me on the Note 5 is when I pick a song in Spotify as I put my phone down it chooses another song. DOH!
