4th day on bootloop. Use 2 min and help me! - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So it's my 4th day on bootloop and i still can't figure out how to turn my phone on again.
I know how to push files to TWRP. I have Odin ready. I have 2-3 different stock ROM available.
Flashing stock rom doesn't help - even if i put Nand erase all.
Kies or Smart Switch doesn't help me neither.
Tell me what to do - please.
Bootloader, modem, rom, kernel, put files to TWRP or?
Just 2 minute of your time would be greatly appreciated. Please!

Boot into TWRP and go to Wipe, then Advanced Wipe. Check off data, cache, and internal storage, then swipe to do the wipe. Once complete, power off the phone.
Next, boot into Download Mode and flash your latest local stock firmware via Odin. Once the flash is complete, the phone will restart on its own.
The above steps put you at a clean slate. If it's still bootlooping at this point, it's most likely a hardware issue and the phone will need to be replaced.

i bought it brand new in a sealed box off kijiji. i have the box but i dont know where the guy bought it from. i need the reciept to replace it. other than that, i can use warranty to get the phone repaired. i already sent it in and they changed teh battery but that didnt work. is there any way i can find out where the person bought the phone? the person is not replying to my text or calls

So Samsung sent it back to you and it was still bootlooping when you got it back? That's bizarre. I'd send it in again and attach a note.

It's not that easy to replace the phone when i have tripped my knox which means my warranty is off. That is the problem.

I know, but there isn't anything else that can be done.
It sucks, but it happens. I've had phones die and I had no choice but to go out and buy a new one. It's the risk we take when tripping Knox.

Why don't you provide us with more details...:/ For example which model phone you have (920F/I/T/V/A/etc.) Bootloop means you soft bricked it afaik.
In this case use ODIN 3.10.7 and take a look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/general/project-zero-pac-firmware-pit-file-t3181133
1. Put phone in download mode + open odin ( = the phone is detected aye?)
2. Extract the FAC firmware you downloaded (if i am right it's 1 .tar file and if there are multiple you put modem in CP, bootloader in BL and phone in AP)
3. in AP put the right FAC firmware from the thread mentioned above, if its just 1 .tar file (use G920FXXU2BOG8_G920FOXX2BOG9_XEO_PAC.zip if you have the 920F)
4. In the tab "pit" select the pit file you downloaded for your device; e.g. 920F = G920F_EUR_OPEN_HIDDEN150M.pit
5. Start odin and let it succesfully finish
6. let phone reboot.. it will be on the samsung logo for maybe 10 min?

Sorry - SM-G920F
I have done it. It gives me Nand Write error all the time.
There is 1 AP file
1 BL file
1 Modem file (CP)
1 CSC file
also beside that i downloaded the Pit file for my device. Gives me nand write error all the time.

[Q] Reason: No Kernal (Odin 3 downloading mode)

Today my Samsung galaxy R i9103 turned into brick..
My phone have been rooted following this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1406880 for 5 months and worked well until today
I can't turn on my phone trying all the methods..like taking off the battery and putting it on, removing my SIM and microSD card, pressing volume-+home button+power button...
But the notebook recognizes it as APX when I plug it in
Later, I installed something like a NVIDIA driver
I have found a .bat on other forum, run it and can get into odin 3 download mode now
Under the title(Odin 3 download mode protocol v2), it writes
Reason: No Kernal
Check Signature: Check
Custom Binary Download: No (0 Counts)
Current Binary: Samsung Official
Waitting USB Cable...
and I don't have any other options even rebooting my phone as it just shows me the same page.
1. With this situation, can I simply flash the original ROM using Odin? (someone said it is likely to be a hardware problem but not a software one)
2. Will Samsung know that my phone is rooted and refuse to fix it if I sent it to them ?
3. If yes, will flashing to the original ROM before sending it to them work?
4. Is there any way that I can fix the phone without losing my data inside?
Thanks so much!!!
Your counter is '0' so I think Samsung shouldn't be able to tell you that it was rooted but if they as a policy don't accept handsets in APX mode then we can't be sure about what would be their response.
But did you try your luck with the following method ?

Just the same thing as what I have used
Do you know will I still have my data inside after I flash the original rom again?
And what about the counter, will it increase?
Anyway, thanks
1.Yes. You can Flash a stock ROM in the download mode.
2. If you flash a stock ROM, your download counter will not increase and Samsung will not know you played around with your device.
If you flash some insecure kernel (modified ROMs) via ODIN then counter will increase.
3. You dont have to flash if wanna send them to repair. You are very safe to send it to repair as it is.
4.What ROM version were u on before? Determine that first and try to flash the the boot kernel and see whether u can make it work?
If no luck you can flash a full ROM. You SDcard/usbstorage files will not be deleted. Only the system partition is going to be modified.

I flashed the stock ROM with re-partition and need to wipe all my data to get it working...
if not, it will stuck in a rebooting loop
Do you think it is likely to be caused by rooting?
Or it's a bug which will bring down the whole system?

[Q] PLZ HELP...Unable to Boot, stuck at Black screen after samsung logo

Hi all,
my friend gave me this galaxy SL i9003 phone to be fixed.
it was not even turning on
it had a bad power ic which my mobile guy fixed and now the phone is able to turn on
but it is stuck at black screen after the samsung logo
i can boot into download mode but not into recovery mode
i have tried flashing using odin in the following manner
I9003XXKP7
using the all the 4 files selected and the latona pit file
no success
flashing just the pit file first and then the 4 files separately
no success
flashing above firmware and then flashing I9003DDMF1
no success
i tried flashing bagaria-09.GT-I9003_PDA to get CWM on the phone but still cant boot into recovery.
this is where i stand currently....after some forum readings, they are suggestive that the internal memory chip may be corrupt or gone bad
Please advise
Hi mate, why do you start from xxkp7? Try with xxkpe or ddlf2.
XXKPE:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/8v9zi7apx2rc5o5/I9003XXKPE.rar
DDLF2:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2329200
And use Odin v 1.85 only!

hopefully there is no password on the rar file
will use it along with odin v1.85 and post back results in a short while:good:
flashed xxkpe with all the files including pit with odin 1.85....still the same
still cant boot into recovery...get a black screen
only difference now is that it is stuck at initial samsung boot screen
Aww...these aren't good news...
The only thing I can ask you is if, before flashing the 5 files, you have checked and marked re-partition,auto reboot and f.reset time, and put the right files in the right place.
You can make a last attemp flashing ddlf2, following the guide in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2329200 , it has always worked fine for me, otherwise consider to bring the phone to samsung service... cheers
still the same
So sad reading this... I don't know about other methods to bring the phone to life... So sorry man... :crying:
hi friend,
i not saying that you dont know how to flash, i just want to know how you flash the firmware.
it just if something is not right, than we can point it out.
so, can you list out the detail as possible how you flash the XXKPE.

well this isn't my first attempt at flashing
i used to have a galaxy spica earlier...rooted and on CM...and now currently galaxy note N7000 running AOKP 4.2.2
regarding the galaxy SL i9003, steps are quite standard for all samsung phones.
Run Odin3 v1.85.
Check Re-Partition, Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time.
Put your phone into download mode: Press Volume down + OK + Power.
Connect USB cable and the program will detect the phone's Com number.
Click PIT button and select this file: latona_20110114.pit
Click BootLoader and select this file: APBOOT_I9003XXKPE_CL409735_REV08_user_low_ship.tar.md5
Click PDA button and select this file: CODE_I9003XXKPE_CL409735_REV08_user_low_ship.tar.md5
Click PHONE button and select this file: MODEM_I9003XXKPE_REV_00_CL1041909.tar.md5
Click CSC button and select this file: GT-I9003-CSC-MULTI-OXAKPE.tar
Click Start button to flash these files to phone.
Do not touch anything till you see PASS on the program window.
Done....have tried without pit file also but still the same
your procedure is correct.. I think your internal memory might have got corrupt. go to the service center any replace it. no other way rather then this.

ok, step is correct.
so, if your try use the same PC USB port and same cable to flash others samsung phone it can went though, than the phone very high changes is the problem.
yes, i can flash other phones fine with the same cable and usb port.
i also think the problem is with the internal memory. cant go to service center as the phone is almost 2 years old now. even if i go for paid services, they will ask to replace the motherboard as i dont think they can fix it.
was wondering if I can get the flash memory ship soldered from another broken dead motherboard, will it do the magic or not. need some expert advice.
nobody has any other pointers ???
this thread is so dead !

Bricked my phone!

Hey guys, sorry if this is in the wrong forum, and I know there've been similar posts before, but I'm completely new to all of this. I tried to flash my phone but it didn't work, and now it seems I've bricked it. I can get onto the Samsung splash screen, and I can get to the odin screen by holding power home and vol down. I'm trying to use odin v3.10.7 to flash a stock 5.1.1 firmware I got from sammobile but it keeps failing right at the very end. I'm not sure what to do. I have a SM-G920F, from the UK on EE (T-mobile/Orange). If anyone could help me I'd be really greatful.
Flash BTU firmware, your hidden.img is probably what is failing because you need a pit file. Download the BTU, it is unbranded UK firmware.

Turn off your phone, and then turn it on pressing and holding Volume Up, Home, and Power button at the same time until you see a warning. Then press Volume Up to continue, and navigate using volume keys and select wipe cache/factory reset with the Home button, then reboot.
Please note that by doing this all your data will be lost.

What do you mean by a boot cycle, try and re-flash but this time ticking the delete all option in Odin. After it re-flashes, try and see if it does anything unusual before it starts to go to the 'Samsung' boot animation. After about 5 mins, if it doesn't boot, then go into recovery and do a factory reset. If all that doesn't work, i'll help you flash a PIT file, to get your EE Branded Stock ROM working.
And don't worry, this all happened to me.

So when I turn it on I get the Samsung boot logo, but then it just goes black unless I hold the power button, then it'll boot into the logo again, but that's about as far as I can get it. While its trying to boot the LED is blue (not sure if that matters or not). Just reflashing with erase everything. Thanks a lot for the help I really appreciate it.

No problem, and just a heads up, if this doesn't work than do this:
Download THIS PIT file. Go into your PIT section on your ODIN, than open this file. Then WITH the PIT file, make sure you load up your EE Branded Firmware. Make sure re-partion is checked as that is the PIT file
If from there it still fails, than flash THIS PIT file, then do the steps again. The reason I am asking you to flash 2 PIT files, is that I had this EXACT problem, and one of these PIT files saved me, but I don't know which one :/
Good Luck!!

If the BTU firmware works, than forget the EE firmware. (Try to factory reset if it still does not boot)
If not then do the steps above. (And no, the PIT file fixes the EE Firmware)
By the way, be warned when using the PIT file, make sure re-partion is checked WHEN you put in your PIT file.

Thats weird... Could you try to get a video or a series of pictures, with one for every event that happens when the phone boots. And is your KNOX tripped? If you don't know about it, you probably haven't rooted anytime.

Yeah my KNOX is tripped. Do I have to unlock a bootloader or anything? Since you have your KNOX tripped, try to flash TWRP and click the little button in the bottom middle, it will bring like a log, if you see any writing thats RED and says something like 'Unable to mount ....' than you might be in a bigger problem (for me the problem was fixed by flashing a PIT file). BUT if it doesn't say that, just click wipe then factory reset, than reboot. If it says 'No OS Installed' than you probably flashed the files incorrectly, but it shouldn't really say that.
I don't mind if you want to send a video to my email, if you want you can just show pictures, it'll probably be easier.
Good luck

1-will doing this void my warranty?
2-can you point out a link where i can get details on how to perform the 4 file flashing method and also where do i download the firmware?

This will not void warranty, in this link you will find pit files http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/general/g920f-pit-file-banded-firmwares-t3118459
Download any latest firmware even if is 1 file and flash with pit file and repartition ticked

Wtffff. No repartition or pit file needed with repartition you can brick the phone. Go to sammobile and download from there latest unbranded firmware for SM-G920F and search on internet for a odin tutorial. It will not void your warranty.

S7 not booting - recovery not working

My Galaxy was stuck in a boot loop, would load up O/S then when I get to the Android part of my O/S it would freeze on PIN code entry then constantly fail on reboot. I'd have to let the battery flatten before I tried again. I figured I couldn't get anywhere so I'd replace the factory rom. Recovery mode is intermittently working, either it works first time or gets stuck in a boot loop again.
For reference I used the following file to replace the stock ROM in ODIN (I didn't choose re-partition)
AP_G930FXXU1DQAN_CL10305131_QB12238018_REV00_user_low_ship_meta.tar
The phone is completely stock by the way. No root. Has USB debugging enabled
Samsung S7 (Unlocked to all networks, I'm on the GiffGaff network if it matters)
UK Network
SM-G930F is the code on the back of the phone
Currently I can do following since replacing the stock ROM with the rom listed above
- Access recovery mode using the key presses - but gives "No Command". I can't get back through button presses
> I've tried VolUp/VolDown, Power - VolUp - VolDown, Power - Volup, Home, Power - VolUp/Down - Home pretty much all combinations
- I can access Download mode without an issue (Which leads me to believe phone is possible fixable)
Have I completely knackered the phone flashing with the wrong ROM? Or am I missing something?
I'm trying to avoid replacing the bootloader at the moment because I've read it wipes the data, and it's the data I'm trying to get off the phone as it's important. After this I couldn't care less about flashing the phone
Any suggestions please. Help would be greatly appreciated. Or is the phone already FUBAR?
Confirm the model in download mode. Then flash the latest ROM from sammobile.com.
How do I confirm the model in dl mode via Odin or is it written as anothrn name

Download mode just matches the model number on the back of my phone
PRODUC NAME : SM-G930F
Did I use the right rom? It's listed in my first post, or which one is the right one to use?

Thanks . I'll try that . I can't flash boot loader arm because I'm trying to get access to the files on the e phone first. After that I can do a factory reset
If that fails I'll try a jig maybe that will work
I think it's a bit late, but if you flash with CSC and not the HOME_CSC, you will lose your Data.
