Radio connection loop in 3.0 baseband modems - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello! I now move on to new cyanogen roms but since the firmware is updated new baseband is "di 3.0".
I have a oneplus one which its IMEI changed by changing 00550 NV ITEM. Since oneplus one has its own security policy about changing IMEI my 2G not working yet I can able to run 3G in 2.0 modems ( Kitkat Modems ) (My country doesn't have 4G btw).
Since I installed a new rom with a new firmware my reception run into connection loop which is connecting and instantly drop the connection says no sim card. Since its in a loop it tries to connect over and over and drops.
I can easly save this by flashing any kitkat modem, connection become stable but it breaks gyro sensors and the sensor fixes in xda won't help the issue..
Is there any way to disable natively disable 2G on DI3.0 basebands ? or is it checking the NV item and breaks the connection ? if it is, is there a way to disable that also ? I Can't use any roms because of this baseband and sensor issue.
Note : I also tried to write its own IMEI again but it is still looping and no 2G in 2.0basebands.

No Signal & No Mobile Network Connection

Hi Guys,
I have some question and already 1 day I can't solve it, I can't get any signal from my phone and mobile network connection such as hsdpa or edge or etc. suddenly after I charging my phone thru usb from pc the signal just gone and there's cross (x) on signal icon. I don't know why but phone seems can recognize my provider but no signal. Is it baseband? or what? I already re-flash rom or flash another rom but didn't work
Thanks, I need fast respond!
Which baseband are you on??
Re-flash the baseband!!
If this doesnt work.. go to service centre!!
Your phone antena is screwed up.. the board has to be replaced!!
It's most likely the baseband, try flashing something like this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=887281&highlight=void
and if you get signal on that rom that means that you have the old baseband, which means you need to either use a baseband fix, use an old baseband rom or upgrade your baseband. If you don't get signal on the rom I linked or any new baseband roms (like cm9, aokp, cm7, cm10) then there might be a hardware problem.
If you can search network but still X on signal?? Go network preferences and select GSM.

Mobile Status disconnected

Hello all
I've been experiencing a problem which has been occurring for the past two months and it's driving me crazy.
My Nexus 5 phone rarely receives or can make calls but data (web browsing etc) works fine. My provider has not been able to fix the problem on their end and I believe this is a bug related to the phone on a software level.
I saw that this problem might be related to the radio version and a possible bug with Kitkat (4.4.4) so I flashed several radio img but that didn't help either.
My build number is KTU84P and Radio img KRT16m. I am running a stock img rom with an unlocked boot loader and recovery.
Please advise what I can do or try.

I noticed with this radio band (KR16m) that my mobile network state moves to connected and calls can be made and received when WIFI is off. As soon as I turn WIFI on, the mobile network states moves to disconnect and I loose calls/receive ability.
I've seen posts with a similar problem but I could not find a solution. Maybe downgrade the build entirely to 4.4.2 or lower?
thanks

Did you tried clean flash COS12.1 or Color OS.
This usually happens due to incompatible Modem with the firmware, bootloader combination.
I also experienced similar issue sometime back using Sultan's build, which is my primary OS right now.
check this post out and the thread.

Well I did the full stock rom to cos 11 updating it until the final incremental cos 13 but no success , never tried color Os I will look! any Rom in specific ?!
Try flashing latest CyanogenOS using fastboot:
https://cyngn.com/support
And if needed modems separately.
All the best!!
I had the same issue a few months ago with CM13 builds. My TWRP recovery was the problem. Try updaing it to the newest version.

i had a similar problem after OTA update to CM13.1. So upset I just waited a few days to calm down then went on here and found how someone said sim issues sometimes just need a new sim card. so i went down to my carrier metropcs and they put in a sim adapter for one thing my sim was nano and needed to be made to fit opo micro slot. then they did a refresh and it was good as if it never happened. cost me 15 bucks but worth it compared to what i thought i was up against.

[Completed] Have signal but not registered on network

I have Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300. When the google drive app was downloading from google play, my phone went off due to poor battery. Later when I tried to turn it ON, it has been getting stuck in the boot. So I decided to reinstall my custom ROM. Being busy with my baby, toddler, household chores and job, I gave it to my brother to flash the ROM. After a while, I noticed that my sim was bricked.
It says "Emergency Calls Only", has fake IMEI but working signal.
We did not backup the efs. I tried searching all the methods like modem installation, CSC, baseband verions, IMEI re-write, Kies Upgrade and Initialization, other people's efs restore, etc. But the problem is unchanged. Some of the followed method might have failed for not having proper knowledge like IMEI re-write tool works on specified chipset, etc.
What we noticed is that using different baseband version toggles from having network signal or no signal.
Kies shows more than four firmware versions and no other details like CSC, etc.
How do I clean up all these especially to have SIM working on my phone?
I appreciate you assistance to be brief and clear to understand steps than sending links. Because my time is stress-fully short.
Hi !
There is some confusing info in your post
What do you mean with it has fake IMEI " ? Have you changed it ?
You say that you have a working SIM on certain basebands , is this happening on a custom rom or stock ?
Have you tried to flash a stock firmware as I see that you tried to flash "your custom rom " ?
Cheers !
First of all, thank you for your response and interest to assist.
My mobile's IMEI is shown as 004999010640000 which is not original. Can you help me to change it to correct IMEI suitable for my Samsung S3 GT-i9300 chipset, if that helps in enabling sim to connect to a network? I think changing method only masks the IMEI?
I have tried flashing stock firmware and also Kies Upgrade and Initialization.
I have also changed baseband version installation on stock ROM too. I don't know which baseband is correct to keep.. for my country India or in the country where my mobile is manufactured, incase that's locking sim accessibility? Some baseband bought signal and detected the network operator name, but the message still says "Emergency Calls Only" and is unable to connect to a network.
I presume this problem arose when installing custom ROM from TWRP recovery and it messed up with efs partition?
I had successfully flashed custom ROM many times before without this problem. I think there's some next step to follow to bring back the working sim like I heard of installing modem. I did just try installing modem but same problem as my baseband is already bringing signal.
I had tested my phone from sim unlock app and found out that CSC is locked and it limited specified MCC and MNC numbers. Is this hindering connection to Indian mobile network? Or corrupt efs? Or missed to manually install something?
Bump.
