Can't flash with ODIN, can't mount firmware or modem

Sprint Galaxy S5 (SM-G900P)
So, this all started with me trying to downgrade from lollipop to kitkat using ODIN.
ODIN shows:
FAIL! (Auth)
My phone says:
SW REV CHECK FAIL: [aboot] fused 3 > binary 1
After trying a bunch of things, I went into recovery mode/ and formatted everything, including firmware/modem.
Now, II was able to get a ROM running by installing through sideload, but it says invalid sim. This is the factory sim that came with my phone.
I've already tried another working sprint sim, and same result. So I know its not the card.
Also, when II go into recovery/mount and unmount/ it shows firmware and modem unmounted. When I try to mount them, it gives an error.
I thought to flashfirmware, but Odin fails every time.
Help!

My guess your phone firmware is od3 or newer. Since this is probably true it means you cannot downgrade to kit kat or any firmware older then the current one. I would suggest downloading the latest firmware which OK4 or something to that affect. It was release like maybe a week ago or so. Odin that which shouldn't fail. That should get you able to get her running. I am not sure why you'd want go back to running Kit Kat but you'd want to root the phone or re-root. Then flash a KK ROM only flash. Which would probably have to be a custom one. That might work.

Thanks for responding!
I wanted to downgrade to try an unlock method that requires 4.4.2 or earlier. But know I just want my phone back in proper order.
I found out I was using OA6. Three versions have come out since. I am downloading the latest one now (OG1). I'll let you know if it works.
You were right, a new version came out on 12/2 (OK4). I downloaded it and it flashed over! No errors!
But, it is still is not reading the sim. I can only get 3G connectivity. No LTE. I still cannot mount the firmware or modem in philz touch recovery.
Any ideas?

theres a dialer code that will reset the entire modem and all data. you may have to reactivate in the settings menu after. (takes 10 secs to reactivate as long as you are not roaming)
if all else fails. go to phone dialer type in ##SCRTN# it will reset your entire data profile. good luck

You did download the drivers for odin? Probably did but I'm just trying to cover everything. When trying to update firmware:
Make sure you get a good download.
Unzip your file and move the Tar file to your desktop.
Make sure debugging is on on your device.
Dnt use a cheap usb cord
Fire up odin
Power your device down completely. Even try a battery pull then do the 3 button combo. Power/vol down/home button all at the same time to get into download mode
Plug in your device and a com number should appear in the upper left indication box.

Samsung Galaxy S5: Model number is SM-G900F in About device but SM-G900P in Odin mode

This is a bizarre situation. I bought a Samsung Galaxy S5 from a local store, and clearly it was used as it was not in its original box and accessories. Well the price was cheap, so I did not mind. The phone is original, I can confirm, however there is a strange issue. In the 'About device' it is written that the phone is a SM-G900F model, while under the battery there is the sticker with GT-S5830i (yes Galaxy Ace !!!) with a wrong IMEI and S/N. Furthermore, the phone was rooted I checked with two apps from the playstore. The phone had an issue as well, I can see in the background all the time a VERY faint image of the Easy mode, and interestingly I cannot get into Easy mode. So I thought to flash a latest firmware downloaded from sammobile (of course the SM-G900F version). However the flashing process keeps failing. And to my surprise in the Odin mode, it says: Product name: SM-G900P. So, I have a S5 which is a Sprint variant and unlocked but says it is the International variant in 'About Device"?
My questions are:
1. How can I get the latest firmware and updates from Samsung (OTA updates)?
2. How can I remove the root?
3. If I have update the firmware manually using Odin, which one should I download, the SM-G900P version or the SM-G900F version (this had no success)?
3. Will updating the firmware cause the phone to be locked again?
4. What should I really do? I know I can complaint to the seller, but I am curious about this situation.
NOTE:
Bootloader: G900PVPU2B0D3
Build ID: KOT49H.G900FVPU1AND2
Baseband version: G900FVPU1AND2
Kernel version: 3.4.0-964333
This is what happens when you buy a refurbished phone...
Because you got a g900p bootloader, try flash with odin the latest g900p rom (OK4).
If you can't flash because some error, i would try:
Flash only the bootloader (g900p OK4)
Flash the baseband to the last one (g900f OL3, if got any error flashing this baseband try flash g900p OK4)
Flash TWRP recovery
Flash ALEXNDR BOK6 rom -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/development/rom-ane4-kitkat-4-4-2-multi-csc-t2813628
Mine like you.
my father present me s5 to my birthday but it looks so nasty. at about phone it seems G900f but bootloader it looks G900p.
i wanna use 3g or lte but it occurs other word 3g or lte doesnt work. i just wanna use 3g but i dont no what should i do When i turn on 3g it say Unable to Establish Wireless Data Connection LTE-ESM-33 EMM-x

S6 not recognizing SIM card (No Service)

After installing a custom ROM on my galaxy s6 it would no longer recognize my SIM card. I did wipe every option in TWRP recovery before flashing the ROM which might have something to do with the issue. The phone states "No SIM Card - No Service" in the top left of the lock screen, it also wont let me call any numbers to edit things in the phone. I have done some research and it sounds like I have wiped the sim and lost the IMEI/EFS data and therefore no longer have access to my sim. I was wondering if there was any possible fix or should I just send it off to Samsung to get repaired?
Did you back up the EFS partition, and put it somewhere safe? If not, you have a paperweight.
Repair won't be covered under warranty.
Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
Unfortunately I didn't back up the EFS partition. Situation is looking bad. :l
Try dialnig *#06# and see does it shows IMEI and sn, alo try *#0011# select stack 1 and check whether IMEI is OK, or NG.
Also what does it say in phone settings under baseband? Do you have mobile networks menu in settings?
You can try Smart Switch emergency initialization with sn of the phone if IMEI is ok (it will install latest stock fw for your phone) and see if that helps.
When I typed in "*#06#" The SN number was shown however the IMEI number was not. When I typed in "*#0011#" There was nothing but blank spaces separated by grey lines, I tried selecting row 1 however nothing happened. My base band version is "Unknown" listed under settings. I do however have the network settings listed in settings. In Smart Switch when I try to run the device initialization it states that my s6 "doesn't support initialising". I have flashed three different downloads of the stock rom to my phone using ODIN and have had no luck with any of them.
well Smart Switch always says that S6 is not supported, but initialization can be done anyway, just dont connect the phone until it asks you to do so, instructions below:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/help/how-to-smart-switch-emergency-t3383448
What is your model anyway, do you know which region fw was originaly on the phone, and which sv rev is shown in the download mode?
does in recovery mode says anything about DRK?
Unfortunately Smart Switch says that "'SM-G920F' does not support initialing. Please contact out service center." Even when I have entered the correct S/N and device model, as well as not plugging in the phone. My device model is the SM-G920F. I don't know the original region FW that was originally on the phone, however it was purchased in the UK and that is where I am have been ever since I bought the phone. The SWREV is: "B:3 K:2 S:2" in download mode. I currently have TWRP recovery installed so is there a place for me to search for the DRK in TWRP? Or should I re-flash the stock recovery using Odin?
that is weird, I reinitialized my g920f many times without any issue. DRK error is usually shown in stock recovery. does the phone boots up with stock fw, and are you using any custom kernel?
i got the same problem when I flashed xtrolite and alexis custom ROM on my S6, both ROM after flashing I got no service.
But I did a full stock backup in TWRP.
baseband unknown means that there is a problem with modem part of fw. and I dont know what fw you flashed. you said that you tried to flash stock, but it doesn`t work, but a little more details would maybe make a difference, like which fw, and what exactly is happening, what does about the phone menu says.
So far, since baseband is unknown I would try to flash modem fw with odin (for exact fw that is in the phone). before that usb settings should be set to CP, by dialing *#0808#
or if you decide tu run custom fw, you can always try asking in that rom thread, maybe someone already had issues like that with that rom and fixed them, or the developer of that rom can help fix it.
Boot your s6 to download and flash stock rom via odin from samsung it maybe work

Galaxy s7 stuck at certain build

I flashed in my galaxy s7 G930F
Alexndr.G930FXXUS3ERI1
Then tried to install another build of this rom
My sim card won't work like it's not even inserted
G930FXXU2ERGE that's the other build i tried to install
And tried an s8 rom can't remember its name and same issue
Even when i tried to flash the stock AUT & UK builds with odin and it fails and gives my system rev. check fail device:1, binary:0
Or system rev. check fail device:1, binary:2
Unless it's the build as the one i mentioned G930FXXUS3ERI1
My phone is exynos and suppose to flash any rom with problems before
Can anyone plz tell me what's is going on
G930FXXUS3ERI1 is higher version of G930FXXS3ERHD and samsung is locked the bootloader in G930FXXS3ERHD Version. So you cant downgrade from G930FXXUS3ERI1 and G930FXXS3ERHD to G930FXXU2ERGE. This problem is happen with me and my phone is under warranty (Knox 0x000) and service center will change the motherboard. you have no option to downgrade. Phone will accept only G930FXXUS3ERI1 version, so wait for next official update version of your country. When a similar or higher version come in your country you can able to flash.
I post on xda and i found one solution for root user. See here
Sorry for bad English.
My phone originally from Switzerland so it's AUT firmwares
And i always tried many custom roms with other countries and it worked just fine
I was on G930FXXU2ERGE
After trying this build G930FXXUS3ERI1 it got stuck on it
So u telling me that build is stuck on the motherboard
And i can't downgrade to nougat roms or other oreo builds but the one I'm on?! ?

Once you flash a ROM with a "3" bootloader, you can no longer revert to one with a "2" (or lower). Since you flashed 3ERI1, you can't revert to 2ERGE. Since the "3" bootloader was just released, there really isn't much to roll back to (there is currently a choice between 3ERI1 and 3ERH*).
Having said that, the Alexndr ROM is quite nice and virtually stock (I use it). And with the 3ERI1 build, Samsung appears to have overcome the very annoying random reboot problem that has plagued its recent ROMs.
Yes i been using it too
And that's my current rom nw also same build as yours
But idk why the complication with the bootloader thing with the firmwares
They should have left it like it was
With no restrictions

ROM Dilemma

Hi Everyone,
I bought Samsung Galaxy S7 Duos from Dubai.
The phone becomes so annoying as it has some kind of Adware built-in, which always opens different kinds of websites, pop-up ads and PlayStore links (after every few minutes).
I tried every possible way to get rid of it but nothing useful, even the factory reset or hard rest doesn't work. Because the OS it self is buggy.
According to its Settings, the phone has Model No. SM-G930FD, and Android 7.0
Now I want to install the fresh and updated firmware, so I can free my self from this Adware and can enjoy Android 8.0
I have downloaded Android 8.0 firmware for SM-G930FD
I tried Odin to install this new firmware but encountered a new issue:
According to Phone's Download Mode, the phone model is SM-G930S instead of SM-G930FD
This means someone installed the local ROM on the Korean Phone. (am I right?)
Now when I'm trying to install Android 8.0 firmware for SM-G930FD (of any other region) it shows the error:
"Secure Check Fail: (PIT)"
I am out of ideas on what to try next
Whatever it says in download mode is what the phone actually is, everything else has been faked.
It's a common scam to use modified firmware to make a phone appear to be a different model, as some models sells for more than others.
This is likely what has happened to you, and also the cause of the apparent adware.
Stock G930F or FD firmware will bootloop a G930S, which is probably why Odin is refusing. You would either need to flash stock G930S firmware, or use a custom ROM compatible with G930S

Thank you for the clarification
Now when I'm sure that my phone has G930S model, the option of stock ROM is only one: Android 8.0, Korea (SK Telecom)
1. By Googling a lot about this scam I'm afraid that changing the ROM may covert the phone into Single SIM version!
2. And if I install Korea (SK Telecom) ROM, will it lock the phone to Korean network only?
3. Do you think that "Korea (SK Telecom) ROM" will change everything into Korean?
Can you please clear my doubts
I don't know enough about the Korean stock ROM to answer those unfortunately.
But I do know many custom ROM's are compatible with G930F/FD and S, so I would assume allow dual SIM.
