Difference between Mi4 and Mi4c? - Xiaomi Mi 4C

So what is the difference?
I think I'll buy myself one. Just have to decide which one.
I've noticed that Mi4c gets better result on Antutu. Is that because of software?

Which of these 3 phones should I purchase?

Hi all,
As described in the title, i'm in doubt about which of these three phones i should choose:
-Wiko Wax
-(Huawei) Honor Holly
-Huawei G620s
They're all in the same price range in my country, and they don't differ very much i believe.
The thing is, with phones i don't really know what really makes a difference in performance and what is important.
The wiko has more gpu cores and significant higher clock speeds regarding cpu, ram, and gpu, but i don't know whether this makes a difference since it's another brand of chip.
You can't compare amd vs intel with same clockspeeds so i guess it's the same with phones.
The holly has 16gb of storage while the g620 has 8, the wiko has only 4gb.
A good custom rom would be nice, and i think there are more and better roms for the huawei's
However the biggest point of doubt is the durability of the phones, which one is the most rigid.
So which of these phones do you think i should buy? Also, if you think there's a way better phone than these ones in the same price range feel free to recommend it.
Btw, in holland where i live most cheap chinese phones like doogee are unfortunately not available.
Thanks for your time!

Redmi Note 3 snapdragon variant announced.

http://en.miui.com/thread-208881-1-1.html
Anyone interested about this? I chose the mi4c simply for the snapdragon and i was very tempted by the fingerprint scanner.
Whats your opinion, would you chose this over the mi4c?
well, the cons compared to mi4c: 1. 5.0 lollipop vs 5.1 llp on mi4c 2. many people still prefer 5" devices and the mi4c is a lot smaller and lighter 3. mi4c supports proper fast charging with variable voltage 4. mi4c screen has superior contrast (1700:1 vs 950:1 on the redmi note 3 pro). pros compared to mi4c: 1. more screen real estate 2. better build quality, more of a looker, too 3. fingerprint sensor 4. better battery backup, although it should charge real slow 5. s650 is more or less on the same level of performance with the s808 (maybe a 5% difference in favor of the 650) 6. i still don't know about the camera, mi4c has a 1/3" 13mp, wide angle, f/2.0 sony imx258 sensor with phase detection af vs redmi note 3 pro with a 16mp f/2.0 pdaf, but we still don't know if it's a. a samsung isocell s5k2pxx 1/2.6" sensor (like the one on the s5) b. a sony imx234 1/2.6" (g4 etc) c. a sony imx298 1/2.8" (mate 8 etc) so it should perform either equally or better compared to mi4c 7. it's going to be cheaper than the mi4c !
i would buy the one with unlocked bootloader....
offtopic but may i ask why is there no thread section about redmi note 3 here in xda?

Seems like a nice phone, but the SoC is a littel outdated if you ask me, and the size of the phone is too big...
But for the price, it seems like a very good buy!

Outdated SoC? Snapdragon 650 isn't even in any phone you can buy right now (as far as I know) and yet it's outdated?

Sorry, I read it as SD 615.
It still is a good phone, even better now . No doubt. The screen is just too big for me.
I hate it. The SoC is better (BIG cluster uses A72 instead of A57), the GPU is better (proven by higher AnTuTu score), the rear camera resolution is bigger, the battery is bigger, the screen is bigger, full metal unibody, yet cheaper price. Damn you, xiaomi...

Question: Mi4c , Mi4 deal breaker?

Hi Guys, I'm wondering if Mi4 is still worth it to get today. I have the chance on also getting the Mi4C instead. So I would like to know your experience with it and if you have had the chance to try and compare it to the Mi4C, what would you recommend me to go for.
Mi4 or Mi4C
I wonder if is it a deal breaker to get the Mi4c over the Mi4, taking in count both cameras and the processor. Considering also both with 3 gb ram, and software development such as custom roms and xiaomi official firmware.
Thanks
SD808 vs SD801... I would think the choice is obvious.
There are many things
MI4c - Newer - Faster Processor - Dual SIM - USB Typ C (very great to charging) - locked Bootloader (it is no problem to unlock!)
Mi4 - Older - but more Development custom ROM - camera2 API - Global ROM (MM 6.0.1) - Metal Frame
btw send early enough a unlock request! i have done that many days before i recived my Mi4c
are you really ok with the 16GB of Mi4 ?
you will have like 12gb available which i personally find super low...
I has Mi4 last year, and now i switched it to Mi 4c, as far no problem with two devices. No Lag or heating Issues.
but i more prefer to choose Mi 4c, its easy to use with one hand

Xiaomi Mi4 worth getting in 2017?

I recently got my Nexus 6P (64GB) stolen and I'm thinking of getting the Mi4 since I'm on a tight budget. I'm also considering getting a Redmi 3S but it's a bit expensive compared to the Mi4 being an older device. I haven't used a custom rom ever since I used a Note 5, iPhone 6 Plus and Nexus 6P and I'm thinking of using a custom rom if I do get the Mi4. So do you guys think the Mi4 is still worth getting in 2017?
What i've heard, also camera in these new cheap ones is not as good as at launch with Sony sensor.
Snapdragon 801 seems plenty fast to me, I'm not trying to play VR games on my phone after all. Maybe some people are?

Really? That seems kind of underhanded. Do you have a source?

Unfortunately no. The Mi4 uses a Snapdragon 801 which here: http://www.gsmarena.com/mobile_chipset_guide-review-1561p4.php does worse than many other newer lower-end chipsets. So get phones with Snapdragon 6XX for better value and future proofing

OK, so, which one is better than the Redmi 4 at $175 (current price)?
Which one is better than a Oneplus One for under $300?
I've had a Oneplus One since shortly after they were released. Looking to upgrade eventually, once I can get something with: USB C, better battery life, better camera - for $300 or less.

Can't find other one with Google, too much results. IIRC it was in en.miui.com.
As a mi4 user myself, I do not recommend it this day. This device is very good incase of build quality and battery life but it is outdated. You can at least go for Mi4c ( if I'm not mistaken, the one with sd 808 and 3 gigs of ram ) It will get Nougat too in summer maybe.
still works fine
it all depends on your usage of the phone. If you're looking into playing games then the SD801 might be not enough any more. If you need all LTE bands working, the MI4 wouldn't be the right thing.
cons:
-- gpu performance not up to par with current gpu's
-- different versions of the phone without LTE or only band 1,3
- only qualcomm quick charge 2.0
pro:
++ 5 inch JDI IPS screen is still top (1080p)
++ 13MP rear camera with sony sensor (IMX214 with f 1,8), not many top devices can beat that.
++ 8MP front camera with sony sensor (IMX219 with f 1,8), not many top devices can beat that.
++ build quality is top
+ 3080mAh battery is good enough
for me the best thing is the community support: you still get all sorts of custom roms including the latest nougat updates (check the MI3 forum, they are mostly working for the MI4 too).

Sorry for the super late reply, been busy with my studies. Anyway I got myself a Redmi 4A instead due to unexpected circumstances that killed my budget (lol). I don't really play games on my phone so I guess this would do for now. I'll save up and probably get something better by the end of this year or earlier next year. Though the Redmi 4A battery life is pretty good but I do miss the large screen, stereo speakers, and camera of the 6P *sobs*

Replace oneplus one with xiaomi note 4x?

Hi everyone.
I love my oneplus one for these two years, but i wonder if i should sell it and for that price get a new xiaomi note 4x...
About the same performance but better battery life and a new phone...?
Advice needed.
Thanks.
The camera, build quality, general snappiness and third-party community is way worse compared to OPO. I have RN3P as a secondary phone and it is noticeably worse.
Thanks! Will wait for 3t when the price is right or for 660 snapdragon cpu phone...
I bought a mi5 to replace my OPO, but after some months I'm thinking about going back... Any good alternative for the OPO?

In that price,I can only think of Redmi Note 4(4100mah+sd625- Ultimate Battery life) or Lenovo P2(a few bucks more with 5100mah battery).
Zuk Z2 can also be an Option if you want sd820 in around same price but in end you'll have to compromise on battery life since it has only 3500mah battery
