Problem: mobile data connection error - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone! I bought a Samsung GS6 half a year ago, and I used to have my old nano sim with 3g conexion. 3 mounth ago i went to my operator(vodafone) and switch my old sim to a 4g(LTE) compatible sim. After this, my sim worked perfectly. After a mounth, something happened. Now, if I stay on mobile data, some apps doesn't recognize any data conections ( like snapchat, youtube), and some of them don't give me notifications. What is strange is that facebook, google chrome, whatsapp and other apps work without a problem, and if i try a manually refresh on youtube or snapchat, no results.
P.S: I allready went to my operator center, and they told me that this problem is not from them..
Any idea or solutions? Thank you.

No Signal/No Data Suddenly on Dash 3G (T-Mobile/Ookba 3VOLUTION ROM)

Hello all. It seems as though I've come across a pretty serious issue with my Dash 3G. I have been using Ookba's 3VOLUTION ROMs for some time now and over the weekend, my phone suddenly stopped being able to make/receive any calls. I re-flashed the phone to the latest 3VOLUTION ROM (04/10/10 build) and it hasn't fixed the issue. I've put the SIM into another phone and it works perfectly, so I know it's not a bad SIM card. I don't know of any software settings that can persist like this (after a ROM flash). Furthermore, why it happened suddenly is totally beyond me. Does anyone have any suggestions I can try? This is terrible timing as I just had a job interview and I need to keep my "ears open" for a possible callback.
Thanks guys!
Bump - anyone have any suggestions?
I have the same problem. I switched from my personal SIM to my work SIM (another provider) and now it looses the service contact after a few minutes.
I realized this happens when I have the data connection on and the GPS on at the same time. This happened to me the first few days with the original ROM too when I first got the phone. So when I use google maps or evernote with gps, the phone service shuts down. Weird.
Mine is the Ozone by VZW (CDMA) but after it was flashed to the 3VO ROM on WM6.5, I got errors on the GSM side when using the T-Mo prepaid Sim, data connection was turning itself off so I couldn't even access T-zone (which was working just fine earlier, already unlocked & running 6.5)
Took me a while to check, goggle & search - realized that some of the GRPRS & Proxy settings were locked by default to the VZW embedded Sim, and had to go into Connections & under Advanced (Menu - Right Soft Key)
to change it. Sort of tricky since the wap, mms & other settings were all set properly but it was easy once I changed it to T-Mo's proxy & WAP names as created. Same for using AT&T's MEdiaNet, as otherwise, as soon as the GSM network was found, data connection was turned off.
Take a look at yours and check the various Menus & Settings screen to see if it might've been reset to default, etc. etc.
Anyone Figure This Out?
Just happened to me this weekend (T-Mo Dash 3G). Simply stopped connecting to the network for voice or data. Worked fine on Saturday but dead Tuesday morning. Also running 3VOlution ROM. I called T-Mobile and we played with network settings, etc. but no luck. Tried a hard reset and that was no help.
Reset and rebooted countless times after changing any setting I could think of. Hopefully someone has figured this out or it looks like I'll be buying a new phone tonight.

Was a bad SIM. I swapped mine for my wife's and the no signal followed my SIM. Dropped by T-Mobile this morning on the way to work and they gave me a new one free, no questions asked. Phone's back to normal.

SIM 1 restricted access changed on dual sim phone

Hey there!
i had a dual sim android phone... china made. it runs android 2.2 froyo and it is super sluggish. but it is just enough for making calls, sms, app developing and also document writing.
just because i don't use a sim card for this phone in the past, i never knew this problem.
now, i use a sim card, at sim 1. it works well, the signal is strong, and the data connection is also great. The only problem is when i open up apps that eat up my ram, such as kingsoft office, or any games, it shows this at the notification bar.
"Sim 1 restricted access changed."
And immediately i lost my signal and also data connection. this sucks because my mum always says that the phone call never works. but after a few seconds or minutes, it is back again. and when i open up a new app or installing a new app, this happens again.
please help!
thanks.

[Q] Possible APN problem

Hi!
My girlfriend (who is forever having problems with phones) just bought a Nexus 5 after her Galaxy S2 spontaneously gave up on life, but despite showing a full signal it seems to be unable to connect to a network (it's supposed to be on the UK's Orange network). When it first started up she said it had a screen saying something like 'activate data services', but that after 10 minutes or sitting on that screen and apparently stuck, she skipped it. The phone is showing a full strength signal, but no calls/texts or data works.
We've been unable to get back to that screen, even after doing a factory reset with/without the SIM inserted.
Anyway, I figured it was an APN issue, so I've tried setting it up for her, but whenever I create a new APN and try to save it, it just disappears and loses all of my settings. I've had a look around XDA and it seems a few others have been having the same issue, but nobody I've seen has posted a fix. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Tried it with my SIM in her phone and it works fine, so I guess it's a SIM issue. Sorry about that. She can call the phone company tomorrow.

please hel meASAP

Does you mobile data work? or just not work with google?
Maybe you have no APNs?
Maybe your mobile data runs too slow. Try to run it on 3G or 4G.:good:

Two HW2 LTE problems (internet connection via Bluetooth and Google Assistant)

Hello,
I really like my HW2 LTE, but I found two problems that make me uncomfortable with this watch. Maybe someone faced same problem and know solution?
I've got huge problem with Internet connection via Bluetooth on my HW2. Every few minutes watch shows icon that there is no Internet connection and then switch Internet connection to this from SIM card (which drain battery very fast). When I take off SIM card the issue still exists, but there is no Internet on watch (notifications etc works OK). I've got Huawei Mate 8.
Google Assistant - I'm not able to send Whatsapp messages to certain contacts, eg my dad or mom, it still asking "to whom" send message and don't recognise those contracts. If I want to send SMS to those contacts using Google Assistant, there is no problem with that and Google Assistant recognise they names well.
EDIT: Android Wear has all the permissions on my phone.
Anyone faced such stupid problems?

I can tell you the problem with your first problem, but no solution so far.
The problem is that Android Wear drops the bluetooth connection suddenly (haven't found a solution.). It does this on every phone so far and have nothing to do with doze or anything similar. Only solution so far is to restart your phone or wait from hours to almost a day.
The reason most people doesn't notice this is that the BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) is still connected, so it will say connected in the Android Wear app, but not in phone (or watch) bluetooth settings.
BLE transfers notifications, while normal bluetooth transfer internet connection. If you find a solution, I will be happy to hear about it.
I changed my phone from Huawei Mate 8 to Oneplus 5T and problem with BT connection disappeared. Problem with Google Assistant disappeared too after Google Now app update.
