Hello everybody!
I wanted to put a new ROM on my tablet so I downloaded the ROM and the GAPPs on my tablet.
I booted in the recovery mode, where I " factory reset", "wipe cache" and "format system". After formatting the system step, I saw that I put the old ROM file so I rebooted the tablet.
Now I got stuck on Samsung logo.
I CANT manage to get in recovery mode, neither in download mode. The only mode I can get is "Forced Upload by key Pressing"
What can I do to redo the life of my tablet?
I manage to see the tablet in ODIN using the "Forced Upload by key Pressing" mode, but its getting stuck at "setup connection" when I try to flash a stock ROM and a pit file.

Have you got drivers on PC? If you have adb on PC, connect tab on PC and if it recognizes tab (adb devices) type adb reboot recovery (or adb reboot download)
Greets
I was to a service. My motherboard is dead..
Eh...
I was to another service and they fix my tablet with 10Euros. lol
Fixed
well it is only possible if you can go to the recovery mode

These type of problems often occur when you do not clear the DALVIK CACHE.
try hard to go to the recovery mode and then perform a factory reset and try rebooting .
if that doesn't work you can always go for odin.
first install odin on your pc.
- now try going to download mode(if you cannot go to download mode try pressing the buttons hard)
-now download the firmware for your model in the below link.
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/
-now open odin in your pc
-go to download mode and connect your device to your pc.
-now select PDA in odin and browse for the firmware you downloaded before.
-now click start, this might take some time.
-if it is a success it will show pass!
-now try rebooting your device , if you still get stuck in the bootlogo try going to recovery mode, you will see your stock recovery. now do a factory reset.
-now try rebooting it should be fine.
NOTE:keep your device charged more than 50% before doing these processes.
hope this helps you............
If you still have any problems please let me know.

Boot to the recovery and factory reset.
If still no go, use Odin to flash cwm and boot to it and do a factory reset, wipe cache, and davlik cache.
And again, if it still wont boot get into cwm again and do a full wipe (all of the previous wipes and format /system), then rerun Odin to flash the stock firmware.

I didn't see your edit down there.
To get in into the recovery, with the phone off, hold both the volume up and down (the whole rocker) and the power button until you see the recovery.
If your having issues getting into Download mode take a look at these tips. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=27360727&postcount=57

Tried to change roms and somewhere in the process it got to the Samungs logo and wouldn't continue. I've tried changing recoveries and roms with the same results. I even tried CynagenMod rom and it just changes the logos of the boot screen. I can get into recovery and into download mode. Anyone have any ideas? I'm running out.
Please help!
I have this same problem
I have the N8013 version.
Installed a rom then tried to revert back to previous rom. and got stuck on the SAMSUNG logo. Can get into Download mode, and Recovery Mode.,,but nothing helps. I have tried several methods:
1. ODIN- CWM and TWRP recoveries, and a number of stock and custom roms floating around the troubleshoot forum...got" PASS" on the ODin after attempting to install stock tar images but tablet still gets stuck at SAMSUNG
2. Sideloads of zip files..I get 2 different errors that after doing research seem common on the websites. I suggested to use touchwin recovery instead of CWM, CWM gave another error. .Long story short sideloading is not working either.
Any thoughts, suggestions...help please!

I tried what you suggested:
wiped data/factory reset
wiped cache
wiped dalvik cache
Then installed the following tar file: N8013RootInjectedSystem from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1831152&page=4
Got stuck on the Samsung screen.
From my experience you wipe before installing the rom.. Correct?

I installed: CF-Auto-Root-p4notewifi-p4notewifiue-gtn8013.tar.md5 via Odin, the process passed, and tablet booted into stock recovery.
Did a factory reset from stock recovery and attempted to reboot, but still got stuck at the Samsung logo.
Any suggestions of how to proceed from here?
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. I do have 2 backups but they are on my external microsd, and will not load in stock recovery...not even able to access my micro sd from custom recoveries.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
TIA

Fixed following these instructions: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2108145
The noteable suggestion seemed to be to format everything except external memory...
the only problem is now i am unable to view microsd....but i am happy happy happy

HOW TO FIX A STUCK BOOT SCREEN ON GALAXY NOTE 10.1 N8013 4.1.2
1.) Download ODIN (just google it)
2.) FLASH ClockworkMOD (CWM) using ODIN to Device (just google it)
A.) Before pressing "START" Uncheck all options ( Auto-reboot, F-reset (re-partition should already be unchecked etc) Just hold the power button device to reset, it will reset on it's own upon start up
4.) Download Firmware Hotfile Linked By the Beautiful Samir who commented on this thread (just search for him). Make sure that fireware is designated for your particular device. No Samsung SIII firmware for Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1.
A.) Use the "Save to" Option not the "Open With" option...It's just better
5.) Enter Recovery Mode (CWM Mode) on device using the Power + Volume UP key
6.) Factory Reset Wipe
7.) Wipe Cache
8.) Advance Settings - Clear Davlink Cache & Fix Permissions
9.) Mounts & Storage - Format all except your external SD card (be careful and watch what your doing don;t want to delete anything else by mistake..cause you will be really..cough..upset)
A.) be forewarned that after these wipes you won't be able to get past the first Samsung logo screen, it will just remain there on the screen but have no fear it should be fixed when you download the Firmware. KAY. breathe easy.
B.) i mention this because my problem was that i was getting past the first Samsung logo but not past the second one, in the sense that it wasn't even appearing on the screen.
10.) Make sure that your USB drivers for Samsung are working, you can get the driver from Samsung site (Google it) or use KIES (Google it)
A.) if you use KIES i advise you to download it, get the Samsung USB drivers from it, then go to control panel on your desktop and Uninstall it, you can download it again later when your Note is working again but it seems to cause problems with ODIN, better safe than sorry i always say
11.) The Firmware can be a particularly long download, but once it is done and you have extracted it to a folder using WINRAR (remember the name of this folder) make sure that it is saved to your computer then shutdown and restart your computer
12.) Now with your newly restarted computer.........
1.) Open ODIN
2.) Put Samsung Note 10.1 into "Download Mode"
3.) Connect your Note to Computer using USB, it should make the ID:COM turn yellow
4.) Uncheck auto-reboot, F-reset etc
5.) go to PDA and look for the folder that you placed your firmware in :KIES_Blaahblaahblahh_blaah
6.) Press START
7.) you should see a download begin both on device and within ODIN....PASSSSSS (Green Box)
8.) Reset Computer Manually by pressing the power button
9.) turn back on Galaxy Note 10.1 and you should be all set
a.) don't be scared after you turn on your note and you get the Samsung logo and then the little android robot downloading some stuff (that is supposed to happen)
Hey guys, I need help.
I have started to follow instructions to install ClockworkMod on Samsung S5660 Gio. I have downloaded cwm-6.0.2.7-itachiSan-ext4only.zip as it was suggested, renamed it as update.zip and then installed it through recovery mode (home+power buttons).
After that, I am not able to restart phone in the recovery mode, but the phone was working as usual after classical reboot. Then, I have tried “Reboot in Recovery” from application “ROM Manager”.
Now, I have phone that tries to enter Recovery mode that is broken.
Is there any way to break this magic loop? Is it possible to stop phone restarting in reboot mode or to recover recovery mode?
Please, help!!!

You are not reading what you are typing.
Obvious answer: If you end up in the STOCK RECOVERY you simply do not have a custom recovery installed (Clockworkmod as you wrote). Get yourself a copy of a recent recovery from AndroidAndi's download repository (TWRP, Clockworkmod Swipe, PhilZ Touch), and flash the .tar.md5 of the recovery with ODIN in download mode.
Obvious question: How did you flash a ROM, other than some OTA Stock Samsung update on the device itself, in the first place when you don't have a custom recovery installed in order to do so?
EDIT: What exactly do you mean by "factory reset"? Did you re-flash your tablet with a Stock ROM? If that's the case, then any custom recovery you had installed was wiped and replaced with the stock recovery. Hence why you now don't have a custom recovery anymore.

Just to recap on the steps you should have done...
1. You downloaded the .tar.md5 of the recovery you want to install, from Android Andi's filehost, on your PC
2. You installed the Samsung USB drivers on your computer
3. You installed ODIN on your computer
4. You unplugged the tablet from the charger and powered it off
5. You took your tablet and HELD VOL-UP while you powered it back on (to get into bootloader mode)
6. You plugged the tablet in to the computer and waited for a moment while Windows was installing the driver
--- Here the story ends, according to what you wrote as you say ODIN does not find the tablet.
Well, are you sure you did the steps so far in that order? Can't be that ODIN doesn't detect the tablet when it's operational (read: no a total dead brick) and it's in download mode.
The ONLY problem possible: You installed Samsung KIES, and not just the USB drivers, on your computer. KIES interferes with ODIN. You need to exit ODIN, bring up the Task Manager (press CTRL+ALT+DELETE and select "Task Manager"), find "kies" and end the running process(es) - ignore any warning message.
If that's too complicated: Uninstall KIES and then find the "Samsung Mobile USB drivers" installation package ... with a bit of searching (just to assign some homework to you) you will the links right here in this forum section more than just once.
Once KIES is terminated, or uninstalled and just the USB drivers installed, start ODIN again ... now it should detect the tablet.
Once ODIN confirms that the tablet is detected...
7. Select the .tar.md5 of the recovery as the "PDA"
8. Flash the recovery. Once complete the tablet rebooted into the newly installed recovery.
As for on-device flashing. That's possible...
- Your installed ROM must be ROOTED (no root, no fun)
- You need Chainfire's "MobileODIN" (the free version from the Play Store would suffice), and you need to let MobileODIN install the "p311x flashkernel package" (I think with the free version you need to download it manually from Chainfire's thread and install it manually) - jump into Chainfire's thread and read on
Once you have Mobile ODIN installed it is just a matter of:
- Download the .tar.md5 of the recovery on your tablet once more (or transfer it over from your PC)
- Start Mobile ODIN
- Select the .tar.md5 of the recovery (should automatically be set as a "PDA")
- Flash and reboot into the recovery
However, as a fair warning ... as with every flashing of your device ... keep in mind something could go wrong (just to straighten it out that there's always room for user mistakes or murphy's law getting into the way ("Everything that can go wrong will go wrong"))

For future reference: keeping VOL DOWN UP held while powering on/rebooting the tablet takes you into the recovery in case you borked the system and selecting "Reboot" -> "Recovery" from within the _custom_ ROM's power menu is not an option (the Stock Samsung ROM does not have that option by default). Though keep in mind that this only works when the tablet is _NOT_ connected to the charger/computer ... when the USB cable is plugged in it seems to ignore the hardware keys.

Now that you mention it... yes, you're right jrc... "VOL DOWN" == Download Mode / "VOL UP" == Recovery (I failed to recall the "UP as in update.zip" association).
Hey, in this tutorial I'll tell you how to unbrick hard-bricked Tab 3.
So, if you have message that you must repair your Tab 3 in Samsung Kies, and you can't recover it (you have corrupted system and have no recovery), first thing that you must do is to download Odin here: http://odindownload.com/ and TWRP recovery (make sure that you downloaded the version for your tablet): version for model P5200 - https://goo.gl/mzY5kV and for model P5210 - https://goo.gl/mcxy3E. Then download stock ROM from sammobile.com. WARNING! Never flash ROM on the tablet in such a state. When you do this, you'll see FAILED message in Odin and you won't repair anything. Then you must turn off tablet and boot into download mode (hold power+volume down+home). Then connect your tablet to the computer and open Odin with administrator rights. Now you gonna to click AP button and locate and open twrp file (with .md5 extension) and when it is loaded click Start button. When recovery is flashed, plug off the cable and then you must turn off your tablet and boot into recovery mode (hold power+volume up+home). Now you must click Wipe>Advanced Wipe and mark everything (without USB-OTG and SD Card) and click button Wipe. After wiping, you must click Reboot and Download. You'll be in download mode and make sure that there isn't any text in the upper left corner. When there isn't anything then this means that you haven't anything on your tablet. Now you must open Odin again and plug the cable in. Then click AP button and locate and open your ROM. Now you must click Start and wait. When the ROM is flashed, the tablet should restart automatically. Then unplug the cable and wait for the tablet to boot. After few minutes, you should see the welcome message. When you see it, it means that tablet is working and the repair is completed.
I hope that this tutorial helped you
this is not hard bricked this is soft bricked. hard bricked is when you cannot turn on your device to enter the recover and download mode. i hope you do your research. please correct the title.
