Hey all.. I just rooted my phone about 2 hours ago and I'm looking a rom that has good battery life.. Simple question hope it hasn't been asked already.
You have to try them out. No 2 set ups are the same. So how I set mine up may work for me and not for you.

An amazing ROM that just got released 10/12/15 is Rapture this rom has been around since the s4 then ported over to note 4 (AMAZING battery life might I add) and now as of yesterday the note 5!! I'm running forever Loco but immediately changing to rapture as his Roms have always been superior to me in terms of battery life feel free to give it a shot! Best of luck op!

So Tapatalk 4 is out and Im on the fence about it. .99c is a killer deal however when I took a look at the reviews it was really mixed. A lot of people say it isnt loading forums/topics quickly. However it still has a 4.3 star overall rating. I did purchase the app and tried it for a few minutes to discover similar issues. (Im running the beta / 3rd version now). It did look a lot different then the beta though. Has anyone else tried it? What are your thoughts? Do you feel its slower than the beta?
I just bought it myself and truthfully I don't see much difference than the public release version.. :S not having the problems others are on the reviews but I'm on WiFi :<

Hello guys,
These past 2 years were some if the must fun I have ever had with a phone. Rooting and installing a custom ROM was a totally new experience and the first time rooting was nerve wrecking. My blaze had survived multiple drops and many, many custom ROMs, but the time has come for me to move on. I have now acquired the LG g2 and wow, this phone is amazing. The same I said when I got our little blaze. I will still check in from time to time and I still have my blaze so I could occasionally do some testing. Anyways guys, I will now be moving to my new home(both in real life and on xda ) thanks for the great time!
Sincerely,
Veliion

Hey Velilion. Thanks man for contributing and helping a lot here. I have moved phones also, but since my brother uses this, I'm still here (not a bad thing lol). Got friends that also use some ROMs that are here. Been helping them out also. Hope you have fun with that new LG G2 you got . And also have fun with that new home of yours. New home, new beginning xD (at least in my family, they use that term).

XDA Free, XDA Premium, Tapatalk and Tapatalk PRO all have trouble connecting to the forum for me as of a couple of days ago. I thought I was the only one. But it seems to work better on data than WiFi. You can get the forum to load of you keep refreshing the app. Unfortunately, we will have to use our PCs until then.. I'm lucky I was able to connect now.

I get failed to connect to forum please contact forum administrator along those lines. It seems to be getting slightly better but it still bad. If I keep refreshing a lot I can load the pages.. But it sucks because I know it's not on our side, almost certainly with XDA. I changed my IP just in case by spoofing my Mac on my router but still nothing. Other forums work well. It's unfortunately a big problem that only a handful of us are experiencing. Waiting game til someone hears our cries for help I suppose.

Thank you good sir. Didn't know that was there even after looking I'll admit. So it seems like a lot of other people are having the same problem. It definitely makes dealing with something easier when you're not the only one and saves from having to troubleshoot.
Edit : can confirm its something between XDA and our ISPs.
The problem I described happens on Xfinity Comcast Internet.
However, the problem does not occur at all on LTE T-Mobile.

Give it a spin!
Those that tested touted better battery life and snappier performance over regular CleanROM. All of the background stuff is gone.
Oh I'm taking it for a spin. More than half way downloaded gogo. Battery life isn't much of a concern for me now that I have my drain fixed. I am around a charger most of the time. Performance is what I'm all about

Hi,
I have an elderly grandmother that lives in another country and I would like to send her my nexus 5. The problem is she is afraid that she will not be able to use the device properly and since I will not be there to help she will be stuck. That is why I would like to flash a rom that would make the interface easier to use like Samsung and LG have on their phones. If you could recommend me any that are stable I would appreciate it a lot.
Thanks in advance,
A concerned grandson
Flash MIUI on it, its an easy interface and self explanatory, and there are multiple languages to choose from so I think that would be perfect for your grandmother, also increase the DPI if u can, it'll make everything bigger
Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
I would leave everything stock and just install a specialized launcher from playstore.
Maybe change the font size max and that's it.
It would be a problem for your grandma if there's something wrong with the ROM in the long run (which usually happens with every ROM).

Yes, just leave it stock and enlarge the font. Flashing MIUI would be a HORRIBLE idea.
