[Completed] Samsung Galaxy A5 detects S-View cover when it's not even attached. - XDA Assist

Hi XDA Fellows
My Samsung Galaxy A5 detects the S-view cover even when it's not attached.
The s-view windows always appears and I couldn't navigate outside it. The screen portion under it and the home button are totally disabled.
Anybody has an idea to solve this?

[Completed] Samsung Galaxy GT-P5110 - 81 pin fpc connector (digitiser/touch screen)

Hi all,
I'm new to the forum but have been following XDA for a good while without being registered because most of the answers to my questions were found within other forum posts but I've not found an answer to this question;
I currently possess a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (GT-P5110) and the touch screen does not work. The LCD works perfectly but doesn't respond to touches. I ordered an 81 pin FPC connector to replace the old port directly on the main board but am not 100% sure on how to remove the old one. The reason for the replacement was that I noticed a few bent pins which I believe may be causing the problem.
Can someone point me in the right direction. I won't take it to a shop because I am looking at this as a learning curve so would prefer to do this from home.
What tools would be required to remove the old 81 pin FPC connector from the GT-P5110.
Any help would be much appreciated and thank you in advance.
