you must use the same base band if you have XXU you must download stock firmware with XXU & if you have XCU you should download the XCU stock rom :highfive:

Is it even fixable ??
Please please help me guys
Its fixable, but you'll need to trip your Knox , I was in ur shoes and here's how I got it fixed
Flash Philz recovery from Odin on download mode, then boot into recovery (home+power+volume up) then reset everything I mean everything except recovery, then go back into download mode and flash stock firmware Knox will be tripped cuz of Philz
Hope it works out
Edit: just realized your Knox was already tripped lol
---------- Post added at 04:59 AM ---------- Previous post was at 04:50 AM ----------
If your wondering where to download philz, go to Arter97s website http://arter97.com/browse/exynos7420/recovery/11.0/
Find model number (G920I for me) then download the recovery

this can be fixed, go to sammobile find the firmware according to your phone model, flash it using ODIN, that's it.
Hi @alawii_shark
Can you share if you are on 5.0.2 or 5.1.1 firmware, bootloader & modem?

Even though i tried to flash the latest xsg ( my phone is xsg) it failed at the last
Maybe i need flash the pit file too ?
Depending on your model twrp might not work, 3.0.0 and 2.8.7.2 didn't work, I had to use 2.8.7.1, anyways flash that version and UNCHECK AUTO REBOOT ON ODIN and now it should work
Is there anyway i can know which one should i flash
I had 5.1.1 xsg
And my phone is SM-G920F
i took my phone to a phone shop and they can fix it
Even though i dont believe they will be able too
I just wish it works

Greetings and welcome to assist. If you have root you could make a system dump via adb but I doubt that would solve your issue. Havr you tried kies emergency firmware recovery ? If that doesn't work all I can suggest is flashing a pit file, the fact that it is passing with odin but not booting is a concern though
Regards
Sawdoctor
Kies and odin flashing original and custom rom, also emergency update passes when flashing. but the phone just reboots to the same firmware update error.
can i do a "clean" install some how?
whrere can i find the correct pit file.
dont know what the fault is. i have tried most youtube videos, and guides on the web. but no sucsess

Odin3 FAIL with unroot and flash stock firmware

Hi, I'm new here, but I'm experiencing some serious difficulties with my S7 SM-G930F (T-Mobile, The Netherlands). I managed to put on a custom rom and root (Resurrection Remix android 8.1.0), but with more difficulty than it was supposed to be. It took me hours and I'm happy my phone now finally works. However, I can't play PoGo andymore now and before the Resurrection ROM my first intention was to unroot and flash stock firmware. Warranty doesn't bother me that much. Yet Odin3 keeps giving me fails. I've tried 3 different ROM's so far and I think it has something to do with me wiping everything in the advanced section in TWRP (out of pure ignorance). This is the error I keep getting:
<ID:0/003> Odin engine v(ID:3.1301)..
<ID:0/003> File analysis..
<ID:0/003> Total Binary size: 4182 M

Try 3.12 of Odin instead of 3.13 as sometimes it gives different results. Are you also flashing all 4 firmware files, or just AP?

I shall try Odin 3.12 and yes, I have been flashing all 4 firmware files; BL, AP, CP and CSC. I got my stock firmware from updato.com. It's the 8.0.0 android for the Netherlands, T-mobile, the right firmware for my phone.
im having a same problem here. my s7 edge can't be flashed to stock firmware eventhough i've downloaded the matched firmware. i was rotted my s7 edge sm g935fd to lineage os 14.1 using twrp, and now I just wanted it to be back to the factory setting, someone please help!

[Help] Downgrading problem SM-G930T from Oreo 8.0 to Marshmallow 6.0.1

Hi, I got this phone from a friend and it had Nougat 7.0 firmware installed, I got OTA Oreo update notification so I tried it. Now my battery life has reduced to half and phone lags like hell. I want to downgrade it from Oreo to Marshmallow stock.
I have tried every possible solution on this site and on the web; downloaded compatible firmware, Samsung USB drivers, Odin and tried flashing multiple times, but always got this error. (USB debugging ON, OEM unlock ON. Auto reboot and F. reset time checked)
<ID:0/005> Odin engine v(ID:3.1005)..
<ID:0/005> File analysis..

<ID:0/005> FAIL! (Auth)
<ID:0/005>
<ID:0/005> Complete(Write) operation failed.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
I then tried to revert it back to Nougat 7.0, but got same error. Please any help would be appreciated as I am sick of Oreo update.
Current Bootloader Version: G930TUVS8CRJ1
Latest Firmware: G930TUVSACSG1/G930TTMBACSG1
Oreo Build Number: R16NW.G930TUVS8CRJ1
You can't downgrade USA model S7's, they're bootloader locked which prevents this action.
Even the international version can only be partially downgraded with a full bootloader unlock, and it requires using TWRP and ROM zips.
My only suggestion for your issues is doing a full Odin flash of Oreo with all 4 firmware files selected (AP, BL, CSC, CP) as the OTA's upgrade process is known to cause issues that a full fresh flash doesn't experience.

Soft Bricked S8+

I have a S8+ SM-G955F that is currently bricked. It was previously rooted with magisk and had TWRP installed. My issue began when I must have mistakenly turned off OEM unlock and restarted. Whenever I power on or charge my device it loads the "An error has occured while updating the device software. Use the Emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software."
I can still boot into download mode however I am struggling to find the correct firmware from sammmobile.

The few times I've tried to flash stock firmware Odin fails immediately.

I'm really desperate for help. Any info or advice would be appreciated. The few times I've tried to flash stock firmware Odin fails immediately.

Have you tried using smart switch ?
From your screen shot you are on version 4 bootloader.
You will need version 4 or higher. The firmware that you download the bootloader version is the 5th number from the right of the firmware name
eg: G955FXXS4CRL2 bootloader 4 ( 5th from right ) is the bootloader version number.
