My Mad Catz C.T.R.L.R gamepad works perfectly with Nexus 4 (Android 5.1.1), but it works only in mouse mode with Lenovo Yoga Tab (first generation, B8000-F, Android Jelly Bean). It finds a cursor, the X button works as a click. In every mode the "Back" button works as well. So I guess the Bluetooth is actually OK. I don't know what isn't.
What can I do with the pad or with my tablet to make it work in the "Android-mode"? Any ideas why it works this way? Or what might be the reason? BT? HID? Android version?
Mad Catz support isn't responding... But I'm still waiting for them to help. If they do, I'll write the solution here myself.

Hello,and welcome to XDA!
I looked up the requirements for the C.T.R.L.r, (Android 3.0 or higher) and you are good to go (also, the Yoga comes with BT4.0 which is right). So there is either some weird compatibility issue between Mad Catz, or with Lenovo.
Unfortunately, resources for either are spare on this site, so I cannot link you to something that would provide a hint. I suggest reinstalling the app that (is supposed to) comes with it.
If that doesn't work, please register for an account and post in this thread:

The only forum that is active on the internet is in Russian.
Google 4PDA and the model you have and then click on google translate all of the firmware and tools are on this page. Challenger 77 was gracious enough to translate this info to me.
Okay I haven't posted before.
And I know xda is rather strict with the rules so I've thoroughly searched for what I'm looking for and I really hope I'm posting in the right place.
Because I haven't found it and so I hope someone can help me out.
Recently I bought an external keyboard that connects via bluetooth to my Galaxy Note II N7100. I bought it because my school allows me to take notes on the device instead of hand writing everything.
But one day, I was in the library doing some homework and I got a little bored.
So I opened the '30th anniversary of pacman' game that Google once put on their page (if you don't know what I'm talking about, just Google "30th anniversary of Pacman Google").
To my surprise, the keys on the external keyboard were able to control my Pacman!
So this got me thinking.
What if I could control more than just Pacman with my keyboard?
Boost 2, for example?
So i was wondering, is there anyway I'd be able to control the accelerometer with my arrow keys?
And if so, can someone tell me how i would do this?
I've rooted my phablet and I'm able to decompile/recompile, navigate and edit files, etc.
I just need to know what exactly needs to be changed to allow such a feat.
So please, for the sake of procrastination...
Help?
Thanks in advance,
Josh.
Hey guys, I was wondering if any of you could push me in the right direction. I have an android mini PC with Jellybean on it that I want to connect with Kinect for speech recognition. Could any of you help me find a driver so that I may integrate it with a custom rom? Any help would be most appreciated.

Try these two threads:
[Q] Android and Kinect array microphone is a similar query. Unfortunately there are no answers in the thread at the moment, but doesn't hurt to ask in case the poster or someone else comes across it.
Android and Kinect has a bit more potential and additional search pointers at least.
Good luck!
Hi.
After spending hours and days searching for a right solution- this is where I hope to find one (although this is very "dumb" question- I am sure you realize that the answer does not exist- and I've looked everywhere!) :/
So, I need a budget android/IOS phone (touch screen ) with alphanumeric keyboard as a built in option (I do not want to download keyboard apps) and predict (which I guess should be common). I am currently using Sony Xperia mini (which has all nthis, but is too old and runs on 512Mb, and most importantly, can not have well functioning viber/skype). So, all I am asking from a phone is: alphanumeric keyboard (as I cannot use qwerty), more than 512Mb RAM (and memory good enough to have normal viber/skype calls), GPS optional.
So, what should I search for? Does alphanumeric keyboard depend on the version of Android? Or manufacturer?
Thanks very very very much!
Almost desperate
You may wish to post in Android General so that the right experts may provide a suggestion.
so on the dolphin browser runs flash games. what i want to do is map gamepad inputs to the keyboard to play flash games on my device. is this possible?
