Hello,
I'm wondering whether there is a way to recover my notes from a back up I made on my PC.
So basically I messed up my phone after deleting some apps once I rooted it, luckily I was able to do a local update and to restore the phone's normal functions.
I backed up every file from the internal memory onto my PC but when I look into these files I couldn't find anything related (I searched with keywords and manually searched every map).
Therefore I think these files are encrypted or hidden in some sort of way so that I'm not able to access -or see them.
I'm using the Huawei Ascend G6-U10 and I updated it with Andriod 4.4.2 + EMUI 3.0 (the same version before I messed up with the root).
Will my notes be lost forever or can someone help me with my problem?
Thanks in advance,
TS

Hello Everyone,
I know that I could be in the wrong thread.
I have a major problem, and I can assure you guys that I have been on google the whole afternoon between French and English pages but I still can't find a solution for THIS problem : I erased/deleted files (epub files) on the INTERNAL MEMORY on the Tab ( Galaxy Tab 2 7" P6200, UNROOT, Android 3.2 )
The tab has been reboot twice.
I had tried many many programs but recover droid or recover and so on didn't recorgnize the tab (so i have been on google again, and by what I read, the tab is on MTP). Each time, I plugged the usb, it's plug and recorgnized on my window explorer and it's on MTP and I tried with DEBUG and Not Debug.
I also download Hexamob pro but mine tablet it's not root.
I'm wondering if I ROOT the tablet, in which so many people say that the tablet could be used as a Mass storage USB, and I could used recover prog so that could recover my deleted files. But by rooting the tablet would I lose and relose the files so I won't ever be able to recover the files? wipe the tablet and being all new, without nothing.
I just hope in however solutions I could recover my books I had more than 600 books and I lost them all and they were quite important and it would take me ages before I could study them. Actually, I was going to copy them today but I just lost them.
If anyone could help me, i really really appreciate that. Really, and if i seach for an IT person would that person able to recover the files? I'm just wishing that now tablet or phones have their own delete bin which i go could and unerase my mistake.
Hope that anyone could help me. Please, I'm really desparate, not crying because I need to focus to try to find a solution.

The more you use the tab, the more chance those files will/have been over written and any slim chance of recovery will be gone.
To use those decent recovery apps like hexamob, obviously you need root. As I implied, there will be no guarantees.
Is up to you, root your tab and try recovery app. If it it's that important, it's worth potentially voiding any warranty, do it. You can always unroot after.

Flash the tab with cwm recovery, boot into recovery mode, the mount internal sd, it will show up as mass storage on pc, the. Use your program to undelete
Again, chance you can recover are small, and even you can recover, your files will be more likely broken and fragmented, i did it many time as well, my music files are all messed up. You can only get tye books names and redownload it, i suggest torrent

Hello everyone,
Hope this is the right place to post this kind of request. Have also searched for old posts, but couldn't really find a similar topic for the HTC One Mini.
So Yesterday my HTC One Mini went through an unexpected factory reset.
I'd like to recover photos/videos/contacts/emails that had never been backed up or synced, but I'm having an hard time finding the right procedure.
The phone has never been rooted, USB debugging has been allowed, Android version 4.4.2, HTC Sense 6.0, Software number 4.09.161.6, HTC SDK API 6.20, Build number 4.09.161.6 CL363588 release-Keys.
I've tried to use some softwares (Recova and Wondershare Data Recovery) I already used in the past to recover lost data from SD cards and usb sticks, but the phone doesn't appear on the list of available device inside those softwares. Under my computer, the phone appears as Multimedia Portable Device and I'm able to browse the folders.
I tried also Dr. Fone, but I'm unable to get past step 3 when it tries to get some Foxxcon Bluetooth driver.
Could you please suggest me a good way to recover the lost data?
Is there any way to connect the One Mini as a Mass Storage Device to a Win 7 PC?
Thanks a lot for your help!
As it says in the subject line, I'd never felt compelled to root my Shield Tablet buy now wishing I had. It is on the latest 5.1.1 update and I want to transfer my data in such a way as go clone it onto the new tablet I've received due to the recall.
Is there anyway of making a Nandroid backup and loading recovery without unlocking and losing the data I want to keep or another alternative method such as the built in adb backup solution.
Thanks for the assistance in advance.
I managed to use Helium (Carbon)
But remember having several issues:
First step was getting the desktop app to recognize the tablet in debug mode. In the end drivers need to be reinstalled with 'have disk'.
Think i used the ones from nvidia website
Also afterwards Helium had trouble detecting existing backups. Had to install all apps manually on the new tablet, 'fake' backup everything again, then replace all .ab files with the ones from your 'real' backups. Some details here.
Hey guys,
I am freaking out because I have lost over 900 photos and videos on my T-mobile Galaxy s7 trying to move media from my phone memory to a micro SD card. So far I have installed GT Recovery on my Win10 laptop and have attempted to recover the files using this software, but ultimately I get to the point where the software is attempting to Root my s7, but fails. Can someone please help me figure out a way to get this to work; should I root the phone another way in order for GT Recovery to do its job?? What I've done so far:
-unlocked "Developer Options"
- changed "OEM unlock" to on
Any recommendations would help greatly. I have some tech experience, but I admit not enough with android devices specifically. Is there another path I should be taking? Should I root the phone and continue with GT Recovery? Any information would help.
You can also try using Recuva on your PC to try and access and recover photos.
I wonder if you have backup your photos and videos before you deleted them. Check out it in Google Drive first. If yes, then you recover them easily. But if no, it would be a little difficult to get those deleted photos back to your T-mobile Galaxy S7 or you can try the FORecovery tool. As you know, deleted does mean that your files are erased from your phone invisibly, however, they still exist inside your phone. So, it's possible to recover them with the help of the data recovery toolkit.
