[Q] Galaxy Tab 2 7 P6200 - Galaxy Tab 7.7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello Everyone,
I know that I could be in the wrong thread.
I have a major problem, and I can assure you guys that I have been on google the whole afternoon between French and English pages but I still can't find a solution for THIS problem : I erased/deleted files (epub files) on the INTERNAL MEMORY on the Tab ( Galaxy Tab 2 7" P6200, UNROOT, Android 3.2 )
The tab has been reboot twice.
I had tried many many programs but recover droid or recover and so on didn't recorgnize the tab (so i have been on google again, and by what I read, the tab is on MTP). Each time, I plugged the usb, it's plug and recorgnized on my window explorer and it's on MTP and I tried with DEBUG and Not Debug.
I also download Hexamob pro but mine tablet it's not root.
I'm wondering if I ROOT the tablet, in which so many people say that the tablet could be used as a Mass storage USB, and I could used recover prog so that could recover my deleted files. But by rooting the tablet would I lose and relose the files so I won't ever be able to recover the files? wipe the tablet and being all new, without nothing.
I just hope in however solutions I could recover my books I had more than 600 books and I lost them all and they were quite important and it would take me ages before I could study them. Actually, I was going to copy them today but I just lost them.
If anyone could help me, i really really appreciate that. Really, and if i seach for an IT person would that person able to recover the files? I'm just wishing that now tablet or phones have their own delete bin which i go could and unerase my mistake.
Hope that anyone could help me. Please, I'm really desparate, not crying because I need to focus to try to find a solution.

The more you use the tab, the more chance those files will/have been over written and any slim chance of recovery will be gone.
To use those decent recovery apps like hexamob, obviously you need root. As I implied, there will be no guarantees.
Is up to you, root your tab and try recovery app. If it it's that important, it's worth potentially voiding any warranty, do it. You can always unroot after.

Flash the tab with cwm recovery, boot into recovery mode, the mount internal sd, it will show up as mass storage on pc, the. Use your program to undelete
Again, chance you can recover are small, and even you can recover, your files will be more likely broken and fragmented, i did it many time as well, my music files are all messed up. You can only get tye books names and redownload it, i suggest torrent

Installation question

Hi all,
I am completely new to smartphones, etc. searching the web I found reference to:
[APP][v1.1 release]Enhance your phone in one amazing toolbox——ZDbox by Ikaola and signed up and downloaded the file. My problem now is I do not know what to do with it. How do I install it?
It seems from the replies/comments that this is a very useful application.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Don't bother
mate, if you are completely new to smartphones, then you shouldn't be messing with something you don't understand. I have been using my Desire (first smartphone) for 8 months almost, and I know I still know crap about it despite rooting it and flashing it.
Stay away from the toolbox and play with the phone in other ways.
Alternatively, if you want an easy way to install apps (.apk), go to your Market app and search for appinstaller. Using your SD card to download various apps from here and wherever else, you can install them without HTC Sync or a computer at all.
Cheers.
Thanks
Thank you for the advice.
When I posted the question I wasn't thinking clearly. I had downloaded the app to my PC and then wondered how to get it installed on the phone. The logical thing would have been to download directly to the phone. I will try to be more alert before asking another dumb question.
Thank you for your courtesy.
you can connect your phone to your PC in usb storage mode and transfer it to your sd card. from there I recommend using Astro file Manager from the market place to install it.

[Q] TF103C General Questions

I bought the TF103C last weekend and really enjoy it besides a couple issues. I realized today that I was unable to write to my SD card using FX(File Explorer) or Microsoft Excel. I have done some searching on the forum, but I'm not sure the difference between the TF101 and the TF103, so I'm unsure of the correct answers. My questions are:
1. Is the only way to write to the SD card to root my device?
2.When I plug the tablet into my PC, I am able to see my device as "K010". I have files in the Documents folder, but when navigating to "K010\Internal storage\Documents" it says "This folder is empty", why?
3.What is the best way to root this device currently, and how well does lollipop run? I have seen some people saying everything works, while others say practically nothing works. Whats has everyone experienced?
Thank you in advance for your help!

ADB, file transfered can't be deleted!

Recently I was playing around with my Samsung GT-P3110, having just rooted it.
I transferred a file using adb push, it appeared to work, the problem is now I can't get it off, nothing I do using root and command line on the tablet or root explorer makes it budge!
I did the transfer after an aborted rom install which left my tablet going straight to CWM recovery, I was trying to transfer a backup onto the tablet. Trouble is that I am now running low on space and this folder is about 2Gb.
I can't see an adb command to delete from the tablet, plus adb is no longer seeing the tablet either!
Any ideas?
Cheers,
Katoiam
I followed you on your little quest for an answer, and was saddened by the response. Not one helpful word, just a bunch of people telling you to go somewhere.
I don't own a Tab myself, but encountered the exact same problem on my G3. There was no way to edit the permissions, so Android considered it untouchable.
The solution is an easy one and I can't believe no one could spare the time to say "Delete it in Recovery" but that's what it'll take.

Inquiry on recovering deleted photos / videos on T-mobile Galaxy S7

Hey guys,
I am freaking out because I have lost over 900 photos and videos on my T-mobile Galaxy s7 trying to move media from my phone memory to a micro SD card. So far I have installed GT Recovery on my Win10 laptop and have attempted to recover the files using this software, but ultimately I get to the point where the software is attempting to Root my s7, but fails. Can someone please help me figure out a way to get this to work; should I root the phone another way in order for GT Recovery to do its job?? What I've done so far:
-unlocked "Developer Options"
- changed "OEM unlock" to on
Any recommendations would help greatly. I have some tech experience, but I admit not enough with android devices specifically. Is there another path I should be taking? Should I root the phone and continue with GT Recovery? Any information would help.
You can also try using Recuva on your PC to try and access and recover photos.
I wonder if you have backup your photos and videos before you deleted them. Check out it in Google Drive first. If yes, then you recover them easily. But if no, it would be a little difficult to get those deleted photos back to your T-mobile Galaxy S7 or you can try the FORecovery tool. As you know, deleted does mean that your files are erased from your phone invisibly, however, they still exist inside your phone. So, it's possible to recover them with the help of the data recovery toolkit.
More detailed guide about how to recover deleted photos/videos on Galaxy S7. Hope this can help you out.

Tricky Situation with notebook pc and Galaxy S6

Hi Everyone!
I'm in need of some assistance. And thank you ahead of time for any help you can provide. Ok, here's my situation my notebook PC went nuts and now I have to reinstall Windows 10 64bit on it.
I downloaded the ISO file from the Microsoft Developers studio on my G920AUCU6EQCF I juzt got the phone and put the stock rom I found here in the forumns on it (Thank You) but I never got around to rooting it back after I put the rom it. Now I need to use my phone as a bootable USB drive to install windows back on my PC. But I'm yet to find a way to do it without root after 3 days of searching online forumns and web sites. I already installed drivedroid and USB Mountr but both require rootbto use. I have tried many one click root methods.... Kingo.... Kingroot..... Z4....towelroot....pootroot....iroot....baidu....framaroot.... CH-Autoroot..... (TY Chainfire)
Oneclickroot.... wondershare....you get the picture. I have even tried flashgordon to install twrp. I even tried going into my system folders and carefully removing stuff as to try to make a crack in my system one of the rooting apps could exploit. Nothing works... So I can't fix my PC without root and I can't root my phone without PC .. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.. And once again Thanks in advance...
