OPO Cyanogen 12.1 w/ Citrix worx? - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Has anyone else tried using the citrix worx app on 12.1? For me it crashes, keeping up with the nightly build. Citrix loads, logs in, i can even read the first line from mailbox view, but when trying to open a msg it always crashes. It worked fine with 11, i would like to keep the current build though to keep current with patches etc. Anyone else having this issue?

I am also facing issues in getting this to run. My company admins say that all Chinese ROMs are blocked by Citrix and popular phones like Samsung, LG will work.... but I dont believe that.
Anyone get this to run?

[Q] is paperdroid no longer supported. any chance to maintain it?

hi, i don't know this is the right forum. i used "read it later" heavily in winmo (thanks to vizier and his latereader) and am now switching to android. it seems that the read it later client paperdroid is no longer supported by the developer in froyo. has anyone able to make it work or do you think some of our talented developers can make it work again?
Will it not install? Will it not launch? Does it run but just not work?
it installs fine but crashes right away after launching.
You should use logcat or any other log capture app to see why it crashes. It would help finding out what's going on and if its possible to fix.
FYI, paperdroid is running fine for me on 2.2 on my evo... Aren't there a few options for read it later on android? I thought I saw a few different apps for it on the read it later site.
Sent from my phone.
thanks for your responses. i will check again if it works or not (I tried several times already but if you got it working there may be hope). i will try logging the error reports also.
as for other ReadItLater clients, Paperdroid seems to be the only Android full RIL client. There seem to plugins for saving links etc.
Also, what phone do you have?
I have a HD2 and run Android off of the SD card. I don't know if that might be the problem.
I tried a different Android built and Paperdroid seems to work. So it's not a Froyo issue after all.
Thanks for all your replies.

[Q] Running old Facebook Messenger with SMS in KitKat

Hello!
For ages, I held on to the old version of Facebook's messenger in order to retain the SMS chat head functionality. However, this was always a finicky feature as it would disappear depending on the model of phone and OS version detected.
When I loaded the APK onto my newly 4.4-flashed phone (CM11 based), it no longer gave the option to use SMS. With the advent of the default SMS app system in 4.4, I worry that the app wouldn't work at all, even if I fooled it into revealing the option to toggle SMS on.
Are there suggestions? If I modified the contents of the manifest to work with my phone and android version, would the archaic SMS handling system even work under 4.4?
Cheers, all
Sad, four-day bump.
Bump....please help. I need FB SMS on KitKat.
I have been searching for this as well.. Hope someone can let us know how to get this to work. Thanks!
bump.. same problem here
Biggest of bumps. I've been at this for quite a long time, but still no info. The lat stable rom for my GT-i9300 can only be KitKat based. Though I don't think that Lollipop would be any different regarding this issue. And I reeeeally don't want to get back to JellyBean. Anyone found out anything?

What is the best, most stable, current rom?

Hey yall, been out the game for a little while.... just wondering what everyone is running as far as new roms. I always liked CM, maybe that's just cuz its the only one I really used.
I am obviously interested in KitKat roms now but I see a few different options so I was wondering what the differences were, and about stability, features, etc.
Thanks in advance!
I'm running Carbon nightly build 20140314-0511. It has more features which can't be found on CM11. Using it so far without glitches. No random reboots or freezing.

Is it a KitKat rom? What are the features that cant be found in CM?
Well I went ahead and downloaded Carbon KK and while i do like the customization there seems to be a fatal flaw with restoring messages using programs like SMS Backup & Restore. I restored 10k messages to the phone using this app and when I did that I had to change Backup & Restore to the default app and it cannot send messages. So when i switch back to Messaging to enable sending then the program crashes or doesnt show or send any messages or conversations. It says to "leave the messaging app open for a while" but this seems really silly.
I always hold onto my messages so i can reference past conversations but apparently im unable to do that on KK roms. Seems really stupid.
Use Google Voice? Archive all your messages.
*shrug*
Of course once i posted my response they all started magically working again...............................................

Installed CM11 - everything else seems to work great, Chrome crashes immediately?

So, I'm obviously not remotely an expert when it comes to Android mods, but I'm finally fed up with being stuck on Android 4.1 - since it doesn't appear we'll ever get any upgraded qwerty phones ever again, I figured I'd try diy'ing it.
I have successfully flashed TWRP, rooted the phone, and installed what I believe(?) to have been the most recent version of CM11 (I figured it'd be cleanest to keep the phone closer to what it was designed for - I've seen tons of apps require 4.4 at minimum, not too many that require 5+): cm-11-20150626-SNAPSHOT-XNG3CAO1L8-moto_msm8960_jbbl.zip. Was the most recent version I could find, anyway?
I booted it up and for the most part, everything seemed to be working. Everything except Chrome, which crashes reliably and immediately. I tried clearing all the caches (the app's cache + data, and the phone's, from recovery), uninstalling and reinstalling Chrome, I tried the beta version (crashes), I tried a fork, Brave (crashes). Other browsers are working fine, but I like Chrome.
One weird thing I did notice: I was thinking it might be a gapps issue, but weirdly, the Play store, gmail, maps, everything else just installed and seem to work out of the box before I did anything with gapps? I did also try flashing the most recent base 4.4.4 gapps zip from what I could tell (gapps-444-base-20170209-1-signed.zip), but I'm not sure how to tell if it actually did anything? It said it flashed successfully, but (other than having to wait for all my apps to recalculate because I cleared all the caches), nothing noticeably seemed to change on the front-end as a result, and yes, Chrome still crashes. Should I be using a different gapps install than that for the Photon Q? Or anything else I should check/try? Thanks!
Yay! Answered my own question, with sufficient digging!
Answer seems to be basically: the newest version of Chrome (v55) exposed some sort of weird incompatibility with CM, so the easy fix is just not to use it, at least for now. I sideloaded Chrome v54, and it stopped crashing, yay! Source: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=70762641&postcount=198
Just FYI, the latest version available for this device is CM13.
They are working on Lineage.
Edit - seems you found the CM13 thread already
Yep - I'm glad to see people other than (and smarter than) myself recognize the Photon Q's unique place as being the final and, sadly, best qwerty slider available for our use, and that it therefore needs to be actively maintained even if Motorola won't... I just figured it'd be better to use an OS closer to the one the device was intended to be used with. Once I'm done testing CM11 out on my old half-working phone (re-purposed to a test phone) and push it to my new fully-functional one, I will probably at some point upgrade that first phone to the latest to try it out (probably once a Lineage build comes out, so I can be on a build that's actively being maintained). For right now, though, I figured I'd stick with CM11. Any case, looks like CM13 exposed the same Chrome issue, anyway.

Titanium Backup Web Server crashes when browser attempts connects

Hi,
I search around Google and XDA and found nothing. Seems I'm the only one with the problem. Here goes...
So wanting to explore the "Start TB Web Server". I can start it and it gives me a host of ways to chat to it. In my case it is running at 192.168.1.7:8080. But when I hit that URL in my browser I get the dreaded "Titanium Backup has stopped..." and that's as far as I get.
I've tried this on multiple phone - HTC One M8 (running CM 12?) and Samsung Galaxy S7 running SupermanRom.
Everything else in TB is running fine. I can connect to both of these phones via AirDroid so I know it isn't some sort of firewall related problem.
Any advise?
Not just you
I'm experiencing the same problem.
Do you use a cracked version?

Nope, I have the full version.
I am a Paid Pro version user as well running TBU on a SM-N900T running the TWRP recovery and LineageOS Nightly 14.1 ROM. The app crashes as soon as you attempt to connect. All other functions I have used seem to work. I would really like to transfer the backups to my PC.
How are you guys even attempting to access the web server once it's running. The links it's generating don't really look like web addresses to me, and entering them in a browser just gives an error, because they're not actual web addresses.
Hi there,
I'm seeing the same issue.
Has there been a fix for it?
Hi. Chiming in to say I experience the same issue.
Nexus 6P, LineageOS 15.1, EX Kernel, Rooted.
Same here, Galaxy S4 Mini, Linage 15.1 - has anybody found a solution yet?
Same issue here!
It's weird that this issue exists for 3 years for now and never fixed !!
I'm running Pixel 2 xl with PixelDust (Android 10).
same here
I've also seen this!
Same here. I assume that there have been some API changes made in newer versions of Android that cause it to break.
