[Q] SONY Z3 Dual any problem ?

Hello guys, i would like to know whether you face any problem with your sony z3 dual , especially with issues like waterproof.
i heard that the sony z3 normal version had issues with its waterproofing etc

Only issue I found so far is camera app. It always says error: recording in progress in another app. cannot record. But everything works fine. It happens everytime I enter camera app. Quite annoying.

Do you have the OK google feature on?, It's on by default and there is a bug affecting the Camera app with that option. Check to see if it's that, let;s hope that Sony is taking note and plan to fix this in the next update.

Ohhh. I see. Yea, I'm using the Google Launcher with google now detection on everywhere. Hmmm. I hope they fix it too..

I had a dual sim, no water proof issues however one of the sim slots did not function. The SIM 1 would have intermittent capability. Sometimes it would say that I need to place a sim in the slot other times it just would not hold service. SIM 2 worked without any issues. I just returned it for a regular D6603.

I heard its a google now launcher problem? Are you using GNow launcher too?

I have no main problem basically. But I'm not really happy with some points:
- Not true Dual Sim Dual Standby: you can't call each other. You can't hold a call when another call come. Note 3 Duos can do.
- Not really high quality G lens. As I know Sony G lens is very high end lens brand.
- Camera lens seem easily to crack. I have small cracked althought not decrease image quality in most pics! Of course no drop!
- Camera performance same as regular Z3: not very good, accept extreme low light condition.
- This is the first Android phone I have to use stock, without rooting. I have to wait locked bootloader rooting method. I want to hide softkeys with "Auto Hide Soft Key" for full screen usable. I also want to remove some bloats + install xposed + optimize it for better battery life.
- Phone easily to reach high temp with games, sometime with long time 3G connection.

No I'm not using Google launcher or any other launcher.
still facing the problem.

Ah I have another prob: call quality is avarage, not very good. Sometime with distortion.
External speaker call volume = low with only bottom speaker!

I haven't encountered any waterproofing issue on Z3 Dual.

my issues is how to active dual Sim like Sony said you can received call when calling forum Sim 1

the only issue I sometimes seem to have it when spotify plays music my sdcard is disconnected.
anyone any idea how this happens? (spotify does store it's offline music on the sdcard.)

hello the only problem I have so far is the extremely low notification volume although I have set it up to the max...I don't hear the whatsapp and sms notifications I have to constantly check my phone...any solutions for that?

I'm considering unlocking the bootloader of my Xperia Z3 D6603. In the Service Menu, I can see Bootloader unlock allowed: Yes so I assume it'll work.
I'm aware of the camera low-light degradation issues but I've decided that it's not as much of a problem as I initially thought. I was reading this thread from the Z3 Compact forums (I assume everything there applies here), and I'm left with a few questions:
In that thread, some users claim that their audio (from headphones and speakers) sounds noticeably worse with the unlocked bootloader. Still, some users claim that there is no difference. Can anyone here tell me whether or not there is actually a difference in audio quality?
I know about all the low-light problems, but in Manual 20MP mode, are photos from the unlocked bootloader still comparable with photos from the locked bootloader?
I learned that PS4 Remote Play has been ported from the Z3 to other Android devices successfully from this thread in the Sony cross-platform forums. Would using the ported Remote Play from that thread allow PS4 Remote Play to work on an unlocked bootloader? (not too worried about this, just curious.)
I know I'm asking a lot, but I really love this device and I wouldn't want to lose any functionality when unlocking the bootloader. Thanks for your help!

1. For me the sound quality is the same.
2. I've unlocked my phone before I took any low light photos. Now it is not too bad.
3. I didn't get Remote Play to work. I've tried only one method to get it.

My Z3 ia about to be delivered any time now, but I can tell you a bit about my Z1 Compact. I unlocked and rooted it as soon as I got it and never used the official rom. I'm looking at the 3000 pictures/videos I took with it and can see the noise is very similar to what we see on the threads comparing LB/UB pictures. So, knowing that the Z3 has better optics and image sensor than the Z1C, I imagine it'll be fine. I never take pictures in low light conditions because I know they'll suck no matter what.
I'll test the sound issue, but I can't test the PS4 thing because I don't have one.

Not too bothered about the PS4 thing. I've tried it with my PS4 and frankly, I don't think I'll be using it often, if at all. You've reassured me about the camera, so thanks about that. My only concern is the sound issue. I'd consider myself an audiophile of sorts, and so I don't think I'll be rooting until there's a way to backup the TA partition. But again, thanks so much for your help.

[Q] Camera on Cyanogenmod 12 Unofficial beta 6

I´ve been testing CM12 beta 6 for 3 days and it´s great. Is the first time I install a custom ROM on a Sony Xperia device so everything is new for me in this device and the first complain about this is camera.. On stock the camara was ok for a 8MP device, very similar to my S4 Active(8mp). But now without the stock ROM the camera is terrible, very noisy in good light or low light. I´ve tried to improve the quality modifying the "build.prop" and "media_profiles" into system. But is not even near to stock. I know Sony has some drivers for the camera and some DRM in the TA partition, but by this moment my 5 years old HTC HD2 with 5MP is taking much better photos, the S4 Active I have also with CM12 is taking soo much better pictures and I think is the same or similar hardware 8MP.
Are some tricks for improve camera quality that I didn´t hear about Xperias devices?
Is this just with CM12 or with any Custom ROM?
Can I do something to improve my camera quality?

I know is just a beta yet, but before I Flashed that, I Flahsed LiquidSmooth 4.4.4 and the camera was the same, of course was more stable ROM but camera quality was the same. Too much blurry like if the lense was dirty compared to stock 4.2.2. I think it´s maybe because of the DRMs into the TA partition, same story with Xperia Z3 and others Xperias devices, so I want to know if there is any trick to improve camera quality to be similar to stock 4.2.2 o it´s imposible to do that.

someone says that varun is working on a new camera hal that maybe improve camera, we have a dead 4.2.2 device upgraded to 5.0.2 with near full completity (only need some fixes with framework, kernel modules like bluetooth modules and then the best part, battery improvements and performance, what at the moment without too much as kk have is a lot better than kk )

Camera stopped unexpectedly
Hi guys. I am really lost on what to do after flashing my C2105 with CM12 Beta 6. When i change the settings on Camera, everything can be done with the exception of when i try to change the resolution of the video from 720P to QVGA or the other one. I wanted to change to a smaller resolution so that the video won't be too large for sending through whatsapp. But when i press on QVGA, the camera has stopped unexpectedly. And i will have to clear data and cache and reset the settings again. Unluckily, the resolution still can't be changed :/ Ayone has the same problem or solution?

Selfie camera fail

Hi all,
Anyone having any issues with the selfie camera not popping up?
It has happened me several times on 9.5.8, rooted. EU version.
Only way to get it to work is to reboot the phone. Back camera works fine and it looks like the selfie camera is operational, but it just doesn't pop up.

Sounds like defective unit contact OP support for RMA

Poco X2 primary camera not working.

Recently my primary camera stopped working on all apps... don't know why but the front cam works properly on other apps but not in the main camera app.
If I flash a ROM would the Camera work?
I think the camera issue started after the new update!

Same issue many are facing problem. Things I have tried till now , tried to go back to miui 11 failed , mi has disabled it , I downgrade from 12.1.3 to 12.1.2, still camera not fixed what to do now, please anybody help

Literally same issue I first thought it was software but tried resetting and changing roms Nothing worked so confirmed that it was an hardware issue.
Then went to MI authorised service centre he told it's a common problem for poco X2 devices.
He told 2 things
1. The camera hardware might be broken it can be changed and it costs around 3k INR without service charges.
2. The motherboard might be gone to replace it costs 10k without service charges.
(He also told it might be wantedly triggered in order to force customers buy a new phone but it's not sure)
I too felt something creepy that only rear main and rear Bokeh stopped working others are working very fine.

Same happened to me. Now what?

Primary camera maybe not working because of camera app or drivers, try to flash into custom ROMs.

Tried 2 different stock roms and a custom rom. The camera isn't working in any app. Snapchat, gpay or anything
