arter97 kernel supports DT2W with Kernel Auditor

I AM NOT TAKING ANY CREDIT FOR THIS, FOUND ON GOOGLE AND WANT TO SHARE
Mount as R/W
Open /system/usr/keylayout/gpio-keys.kl. with text editor
Go to "key 172 HOME WAKE" line
Delete word WAKE
Save and exit
Reboot phone
That's all , now you stoped the home button from waking up your device.
Probably working on all roms but i tested with rooted stock rom.
Will work on rooted stock roms for sure

Can we make the home button wake and unlock the device?

That seems like the complete opposite of its purpose when the device is in sleep.
But you can just turn off the lock screen, and you accomplish what you're asking for. No security at all though. Butt dials like a mother. No one wants that.

I know it's the complete opposite of this mod but it will be faster (IMO) to double click the home button to wake-unlock the device.
But no lock screen will definitely cause butt dials

looking for the same thing.
Not working in Sprint S4 running liquid smooth (AOSP is ya didn't know). Been searching everywhere. Anyone know if there's a way to disable it on AOSP roms? Tried removing wake from every single file inside the key layout folder but met with no success...
Thanks, it was very useful to me, to re-enable the wake up screen on home button.
Not work
Would it be possible to have double tap to wake on the Relay?

I would like to know this as well!
If you double taped the power button sure
There are some apps on the play store, but expect some power drain

The ideia would be double tapping the screen, not any button
Not really a button rather the proximity sensor for some apps. You can use trickdtr too
Also there are init.d scripts you can use if the kernel supports it. But again to my earlier point, expect needless battery drain for a somewhat gimicky feature. But if you like it there are options if you search

double tap to wake is not equal to double tap to "move"
Well if I just give it two taps the display comes on and I can see my active display. When lg marketed the feature I thought it was neat so I double tapped my phone and viola, it works.

It's hardware dependent. Some devices have kernels that implement a wakelock for a brief amount of time that then respond to tapping. This seems useless as it's keeping your phone from sleeping and only works for a brief time after screen off.

there's an app for that. I can't remember if it was the gravity app or another one. Chances are though, it would kill Active Display's precision
i prefer doube tap to lock~
I am quickly finding that double tap to wake may be too sensitive for me. I am constantly finding my phone awake without intentionally trying to turn it on. Is there a way to either just turn off that one gesture or drop the sensitivity?
Thanks
Z
I don't know but i need it also.
I found that the other gestures were the ones waking my phone and double tap was the only good one. Just swiping across the screen when it's off shouldn't unlock the phone. I can't stand those gestures.

Ditto for me, but it seems like an all or nothing deal. I could be wrong though, and I hope someone will eventually figure out how to disable the others, but until then I enabled a pattern lock so it'll stop getting unlocked accidentally.

I like the gestures, but I'm the same, double tap to wake is great. And the Swype gestures are good too, but I have a problem with Them. I can't even clean my screen without the phone coming on. And installing the screen protector, I had to turn it off completely.

Dear Friends,
I wanted to make simple game which will help me to use the Fingerprint sensor.. I just made an game and posted over Google play I need your help to check weather it works on Samsung S7 FP Sensor..
App link - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.futuregames.fingerpac&hl=en
Tap either fingerprint scanner or the screen to jump and survive without hitting the danger wall.
Please note fingerprint tap jump works only android M and above devices. Below android M devices can still play the game by tapping on the screen.
Please keep me posted your feedback or suggestion to improve the game.
Look forward hearing from you.
It works however it's not really responsive when using the fingerprint. Good concept tho.

Cool but what if one could use these concept and convert the home button to capacity like on the HTC 10 so that we don't press to go home or wake the screen. Just tap go home and tap wake up unlock.
