i just recently attempted to root my Kyocera hydro icon from boost using the kingsu replacement with supersu method and all was fine and dandy until i had some issues with navigating some parts and functions of the phone and cant remember how but after saving the supersu to system all hell broke lose and i ended up doing a stupid factory reset. well the phone is dam near back to stock think except that supersu can not fully removed because the phone is no longer root but has supersu embedded in system and every time i load a supersu it claims binarysu is missing and to update on top of this i cant seem to root the phone another way. i have spent quit some time wanting to have my phone rooted but delayed due to lack of knowledge in the tech and process i am glad i did not perm mess up phone but would like advice comments or suggestions on ways to remove and attempt to root a gain hopefully succesfully. added below are some screen shots of rootcheck app AFTER reboot to rwactory setting with supersu embedded plz help thank yall again
Again and in advance thank yall for your time and consideration on ths

Let me start this by saying Its been awhile since i rooted or did anything on my phone. When i bought my S4 i came here and followed instructions to root it, i dont remember what they were but I do remember the chinese program vroot and changing whatever it was to MJ7. Then I installed or flashed (sorry dont know the lingo) hyperdrive 15.
A few days ago i noticed there was an update for hyperdrive to v17, found "Hyperdrive+RLS17.1+KK+S4+Final.zip" and downloaded it. Rebooted safestrap into recovery then messed up the order of installing from zip, data wipe/factory reset and clearing cache. It took a few tries but it finally booted up and i had to enter email again to activate the phone so i thought i was good to go.
I checked the "about phone" and it seems to me im on the same hyperdrive15.I keep running into a problem installing safestrap. It says im not rooted so I started going though the same walkthrough I think i did before. VRoot_1.7.0.3882_Setup was having trouble seeing my phone then never really completed, (Im guessing but it is in chinese) Still no root.
Heres a couple screenshot since i dont really know where exactly I am. What do i need to do to get back to rooted?

unzip and find three more zip files, one is drivers. I don't know which ones did the magic cause I was screwing around for days so just install em all like I did.
Then install and run Vroot with USB debugging enabled....That'll get you root.
Then run the beautiful twrp magic installer I found somewhere else, you'll be warned about potentially losing your IMEI due to space issues, if concerned, back up with mobileuncle tools first. I didn't lose my IMEI though.
after TWRP installs, install supersu from the app store and update the su binary through recovery when prompted or using the supersu update zip through recovery (not included) and you're all done.
Thanks to everyone who originally made these files, I can take no credit. but u can jock me for spoon feeding you if you want
Will this root method work on life play mini L180b?
I recently rooted my Samsung Galaxy Note Pro (AT&T version - SM-P907A) & I've been trying to install xposed framework, but it won't work. It doesn't give me any error message, it just says "app not installed". I'm no stranger to rooting, but this is the first time I've ever had to post a question on the xda developers site. Usually I can find what I'm looking for already, but not this time :crying:
I don't know if I'll be able to post a screenshot of what happens as I've just barely registered, but I'm gonna try. I also have a rooted Motorola Droid 4 and I rooted & installed CM12 on an old Kindle Fire HD as well. (However, that's now been sold...) Anyways, I tried installing Xposed Installer on my Motorola, and it worked, so I'm thinking the problem is with my note pro, but any help on how to fix it would be awesome
Thank you!!

You know what , the quickest method would be to changet rom and install the rom with xposed already installed by the way use titanium backup for making backups if you fear data loss
Despite all the good posts on here I have been unable to get my phone out of a boot loop, and am now quite desperate for help please!
If anyone can point me in the direction of a rom or kernel that will definitively work on my phone I will be eternally grateful
It was ok until I decided to unlock bootloader and root it.
Unlock bootloader went well, as did flashing TWRP and also CWM – I have a suspicion that it was rooting with OneClickRoot caused the problem.
After over a day of failure I discovered how to do ADB Sideload at this thread: I used CM11 I got from this thread: and also tried a Stock one from here:
sadly nothing worked, and I'm now afraid of filling my phone storage with large files. I have added some screen shots of my failed attempts with TWRP & CWM
they both fail, and TWRP does warn me not to reboot as I have no OS installed, but I had to keep on trying.
Another weird thing is that I cannot always reboot to recovery from the Hboot screen and have to re-flash a recovery image each time.

SOLVED
no need to reply now folks, I got the job done ... see here
I soft-bricked my OP7 Pro and used Mantauro's fix which got me back to stock with unlocked bootloader.
Netflix refuses to open, giving me the error message :

It also seems I cannot uninstall Netflix either.
Any ideas?
If you root it you should be able to remove it from priv-apps, that's usually where pre-installed apps are
I'm concerned about rooting. I think trying to root from a Mac is what caused the issue. Not my first rodeo, been rooting for years and followed the instructions to the T.
I'll try again on my wife's PC. Any suggestions for working method?

This method works just fine, just make sure you apply the correct version and install the latest Magisk Manager app first (7.2.0 just now) :

Rooted - uninstalled Netflix, reinstalled and used Magisk Hide, still getting the not compatible message. Any ideas?
Never mind - restarted and it works now
