Has anyone had any trouble trying it out? Was going to play with it just to check it out but it wont let me get a verification code sent to me.
I can click agree and in the process if signing in it will ask for a phone number to send a verification code. Every time i try it tells me "there was a problem sending the verification code to...."
I tried my number and even my wifes number and it gives me the error every time

What kind of **** is that? I will never be able to do it. I literally got 1 subscriber. Oh well. Stupid that it is a feature hyped in the comercials and not everyone can use it.

It works for me, no subscribers. Has about a 30 second lag. Was video broadcasting my father in law unsuspectingly looking at his phone watching himself on youtube wondering what the hell was going on. Priceless.

Turn off your wifi when you send and receive a picture message
Did you happen to mess with the build.prop file at all?
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA Premium App
No I did not mess with the build. But my wifi is always on but is never connected. So say I have to leave it off at all times? Many thanks for the reply.
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA App
No, you should be able to leave it on. I have mine on right now as I'm typing this and I've an mms..
I assume you have restarted you phone multiple times. Have you been able to send/receive photos before?

I was going to say, I can never send MMS messages while on wifi calling, I have to turn it off, but if you aren't using wifi calling, must be something else!

I had this problem on my previous phone, just enter a sim's number and put the sim in some random phone, wait for the text message with the activation code and boom, you can WhatsApp when you have wi-fi!

Cheers, but ive tried that and there is no option to enter the code, as now it tried to do it automatically, or get you to request a phone call and listen for the number.
was thinking of maybe trying to install a really old version of whatsapp, any idea where i could find an apk?

No, that doesn't work, just wait out the 5 mins and then it will offer you to either call you or enter the code.
Can anyone confirm if they have got viber working on their nexus 5?
Mine just pops up a dialog box saying 'error' when trying to register the number and/or a communication error both over wireless and 3g.
I could register viber on N5 from UK. But it crashes when I received messages

Mine is working, can send and recieve messages but crash if i try to attach an image
Word of warning guys if any of you like myself installed the Android SDK and emulator to try and teach yourself programming then make sure Viber does not get installed if you login with your google account.
Basically this triggers their 'system' into thinking you are a spammer and they then block your number so you are unable to use Viber ever again on any device you own.
Viber support are next to useless and it looks like I will never be able to use Viber again despite doing absolutely nothing wrong whatsoever.

They banned my number because they thought it was used for spamming and won't ever take it off so the error will never go away.

Hello. I recently moved from the iOS platform onto the Android platform because I believe it provides a lot more freedom than Apple will ever allow. I used an app on my iPhone for a very long time called CoverMe, which is basically a texting/vault application that is encrypted and secure. The older I get, the less I trust those harvesting my data. I downloaded the app onto my new HTC One M8, but unfortunately it does not work. I open it and it immediately crashes, asking me if I want to report the crash to Google. It does work, however, when I am connected to WiFi. I emailed the developers about a month ago, but have received no solution. I'm not sure if anyone on these forums will be able to help, but it's worth a try. If attaching the logs/crash reports will help someone fix my issue, I can attach them.
Does anyone else have this problem with CoverMe, specifically on the HTC One M8? If you've come up with a solution, please let me know.
Thank you.

Just tried it and it crashed. You may want to email the app author.

I've emailed them on multiple occasions. A new update was just released today and I was hoping for a fix, but unfortunately it's still producing the same result. I'm going to attach the new logs in an email to them and hopefully that will help more.

I just launched the app in WiFi and it went through set up and everything. Try WiFi instead of using your cell connections.

I wrote about both of your suggestions in my first post, which you apparently did not care to read. I do not have WiFi at my house and therefore cannot use it on a consistent basis. Thank you for your comments.

If you want to get snippy, that's fine. But your original post only says it works on WiFi and never indicated you tried it on a cell connection. I was just telling you I got it to work.
Surely you visit a McDonald's that has free WiFi. Start the app there otherwise just deal without it. You don't have to be on WiFi all the time, just to connect to the app to accept the TOS.
Sent from my HTC6525LVW using Tapatalk
I was not getting snippy. I thought it would be implied I tried it on my cell connection, as I wouldn't attempt to try it with no connection at all, and WiFi is the only other option. I used WiFi to accept the TOS and create my account a while ago, but it still crashes regardless when I open it and enter my password on my 4g connection.

I've been using the app you suggested for a little while now and it actually works pretty well. The only issue is that it unfortunately does not have an iPhone counterpart. That's okay, it will suffice until CoverMe comes out with a fix. Thank you for your suggestion.

Yeah! Try it only for installation and to set it up. Once installed properly, I think that will work fine after will cell connection.

Does anyone know of a free app , that i can use that will take my voice messages for me , rather than using the one that Vodafone UK offer , i am on Pay as you go , they charge 35p for checking my voice mails , issue been , i need Vodafone , due to the poor signal from other providers in my area.
So a app that takes my messages for me would be ideal....oddly enough i have checked the google store for my android phone and can find nothing , i would of thought this would of been a fairly simple app and a good one for someone to of already written.!! I have tried to use a couple of them , but they tend not to work or have not been supported for a long time .

But oddly enough, searching for Youmail popped up a app called PF Voicemail plus
Which looks interesting, I can't test until tomorrow though, but looks to have potential
