i am using HCL me G1 Tab (Android 4.0.4 ), Kernel: 3.0.8+.Recovery System 4[3e]. this is my 1st android device, bought it 1 week ago. I am new in Android World.....
I installed Superuser.apk (v3.1.3) [using normal apk installation method]..... Then I got root access in FX File explorer and Titanium backup... Today I found another SUPERUSER.zip (v3.2 signed)..
I tried to flash it from recovery but didn't work... So I just extracted zip files in following folders and replaced the previous ones:
1st mistake, i just copied superuser.apk to /system/app folder [using FX explorer]
2nd, replaced 'su' in /system/bin with the new one.
3rd, copied contents from xbin folder to /system/xbin
Done! and now Superuser not working......
Now u guys can feel what i've done.... just messed up every thing.. Superuser.apk has become a system app, so i can't remove it.. can't delete it because I lost root access in FX explorer. su command not working, because doesn't have permissions... Titanium backup not working... etc.. :crying:
i have some other problems [before all these happened]... after installing andriod sdk and adb drivers, adb commands don't find my device. so i can,t push 'su' again into device.. SuperOneClick stop responding after *daemon started successfully*....
can't install SuperUser in recovery mode.. coz i always get the error:
-- Install /mnt/external_sd ...
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Verifying update package...
E:failed to verify whole-file signature
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborted.
Can anybody please help me??? I know its my mistake but still i hope for some help from u guys... Please tell me what to do now [when nothing is working]....
thanks in advance..

Thanks for ur reply.... i tried what you told... but it didn't work. now it seems that no pc toolkit can solve it because adb can't find my device.. so when i ran runme.bat, it stuck on *daemon started successfully*
i tried other toolkits also.. adb shell commands, superoneclick, etc.... but result is same.

Can you just re-flash your ROM ? I can't promise you it will work, but if you just clear caches and /system, then you shouldn't lose anything on the internal memory and can start over.

Its pretty simple, just reflash ur phone or simply try to restore it, every android device has an emergency downlod mode, if u can figure out urs, u can simply connect your phone to the pc in edm and input ur imei code or serial number, and abt 45 mins on a 150kB/s speed you will have your device back to normal

This root method is easy as slicing through better took me different root methods to try to root this phone and finally i figure it out and hopefully somebody will come out with cwm and stock rom.
notes to root:
1.Download framaroot and Install it
2.Open up the framaroot
3.Dont touch it where it says install superuser
4.on the bottom you need to select either Aragorn or Gandalf once its selected your phone will freeze what you do is restart phone by the way power button still works.(the freeze part is on the app only)
5.Finally you rooted and enjoy

Help
Hey. I can download framaroot, but when i try to install it tells me there was a parsing error. What does this mean and how do i fix?
I just bought the Zte Warp n9510. I went right to framaroot and rooted it.. Works like a charm like always. Used framaroot for plenty of phones. about a few hours after my phone started freaking out and freezeing. Screen started glitching, and freezing. I havent installed anything else after rooting besides Root checker. When i press the power button to turn the screen on after being in idle i just get a illuminated black screen. When i restart it with holding down the power button it just shows a black screen, no andriod, no zte logo no boost logo. sometimes it takes me 10 restartes just to be able to see my screen.
I have did a factory reset twice from the settings menu and reset from the Volume+power button menu. Any idea what could of happened?
U probably did something wrong to it

Hi guys, I rooted one of my friend's phone which is Micromax Canvas A110. After 30 mins of root, Phone started hanging [Low RAM]. So, I decided to unroot it. I rooted it through root master android application. It is a chinese app and everything is described in chinese in the app. So, I can't understand what is written. I searched google and saw that 'mulai root' option is to be selected to root, So i did and phone got rooted. But i don't know what option is to be selected to unroot the phone. Please anyone help me if you know which option is to be selected to unroot the phone. If any other application is there to unroot the phone permanently, then post about that. Framaroot is not working in my phone so don't give that as a solution. And please give only that solution through which phone can be unrooted without pc. I hope anyone of you will reply asap. Thanks in advance.

Dude if ur phn is rooted then check in ur phn there will be a app which name is "SuperSu". open this app>Go to Setting>in the bottom there will be a option "Full Unroot" click on that option and press OK. That's it now ur phn is Completely unroot...
Hi sourabh, First of all thanks for your reply. You said that unroot the phone through super su. But bro i have rooted through root master and it has installed some other app which does the work of super su. So, I think phone can't be unroot through this method. And yaa i want to ask you that can i unroot using any of the app, i mean that here i rooted through root master and it installed another app which does the work of super su. So even then also i can unroot using super su? Please give an accurate solution as i don't want to brick the phone.. Reply asap.. Thank you..

Yes this will unroot ur phone without pn try to unroot via superuser app. u dont need any other app..& do not need to uninstall other app...if u can't use any on that app then u can uninstall that app from ur setting -> app manager bt u need super su app to unroot ur device.
i just downloaded kingoroot and plugged my phone in (the pc version) my phone is ZTE Zmax 2 Z955L from straight talk i think i just got it rooted BECAUSE
Kingo root says "root succeeded", and on my phone, a thing popped up asking to give root access to "super user"
however, the root check apps return it as not rooted. i dont know what this means and i am up for sharing screen shots.
Also most, if not all apps tat require root, will not work (at least for my case) because eventhough it asks for root permission, it will say that its been denied.
Please give me your thoughts about this

okay so i trie getting SuperSU from chainfire, asked for the binarys, so i hit install. but it wouldnt do anything but sit there at the installing window so i rebooted my phone and root was gone. in the kingo super user app, all the root access items that i allowed were still listed but it said there was no binary.
i tried rooting again with kingoroot and it said it failed.. not sure what to make of this
but do please give me your input
Kingo PC is working now. But your need to uninstall kingo superuser app in order to get root. or you need to go into kingo superuser app to Deny and Allow a few time for it to work. it's only a temp root. we need TWRP now!

You could try factory resetting the device... I haven't tried that but just a thought.
I'm hoping this might be the first step to getting root on Zmax 2!!! (I also hope I helped a bit)
King root via PC worked fine for me. I have debloated so far with success. I'm check for a super user dependant test, like hot-spot for super users and we'll get back at ya!

Wow, can you double check to make sure you actually rooted the phone, Hemanolio? If the Zmax 2 is truly rooted (and not just temporary) then a lot of people out there are going to be really happy!:laugh:
I just bought one myself from best buy. just waiting for it to get delivered in the next few days.
The Kingo App (kingoapp.com) worked as a temporary root. Kingroot didn't work for me but I didn't have the drivers installed when I attempted to use it first. This worked for me on two Zmax2 phones and allowed me to remove all bloatware. Both my devices are firmware B12 (ATT GO Phone requires ATT sim to update). Works like a charm but seems to be temporary.
AFAIK ZTE sells an unlocked version of this phone that isn't carrier branded so eventually it might be possible to get more reliable updates that way or perhaps a clean stock rom with just ZTE bloat. I don't have much hope on all that though.
What are you using to remove bloatware? KingoRoot successfully rooted my phone and the Root Checker is reported that it's all good, but every app that I use to remove the apps is failing. I can't manually do it either, I get errors.

You can use the Kingroot app itself to remove things you don't want namely the ATT software all of it plus all the Google apps minus the play store.
Not really
Kingo does not really work. All I succeeded in doing was changing my search engine in firefox. I'm sure it's great for all the other phones, but this one does not work.
EDIT: Should mention mine is Z958
Using Kingo root and all it tells me is unknown network error.

So, apparently it was temp rooted by kingo, but was able to install king root (which failed to root), but every so often king root pops up with a root error warning...I press the back button and it takes me to the full king root app with all the options, including debloating, and now Wifi Access Point app works. Tethering was my main desire, so I'm satisfied. Again, I temp rooted with kingo and then installed kingroot
zmax 2 does have perma root
mine is currently rooted (fully & permanently) just had to disable system read/write protection with this method: androidforums(dot)com/threads/zte-write-protection-for-zmax-and-other-zte-phones.1040331/
afterwards i ran kingo root pc, then ran the droid version* then used supersume. voila persistant root working on z955a zmax 2
does this help anyone? hope so
ran both pc and droid version because pc version was not detected by supersume. droid version was. using droid version only might be quicker and still work. not sure

Yep. Makes sense because the Z955A is the unlocked version.
For folks who have the Z958, the story isn't as easy. But the info should help the Z955A users.

I'd bet the Z955L is locked in the same manner as the Z958.
I may attempt to root my Z958 but not until I get my new phone (the Z958 is a backup since my Nexus was destroyed).
Any update on the z958 status?
Thanks

I have a ZTE ZTEX2 model Z955A, by mistake, I installed a customized recovery of another model and now I can not access the recovery mode, the black screen remains and I have to restart so that the cell phone can restart, can you help me to restore the original recovery?
Hey everyone, so i'm currently holding a what i suppose is a soft-bricked Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3 (5.5) 6045K, let's flash back and see what happened.
I was intrigued by all the privileges root access offered, so after a quick google search, i decided to root my Android 5.0.2 using Kingroot, and the root was successful, i then head back to google to see what i can do with this type of access, and i read about an app called Network Spoofer, i liked its description and decided to download it off chrome, yes i did get a warning that it might contain malware, but that was a bit too common to really care about (yeah stupid me). I downloaded and installed it, but when i tried to open it, my phone restated, and it couldn't boot past the alcatel onetouch smart move logo. I tried to wipe cache partition, i did a factory reset, nothing worked. I tried to look up more advanced solutions, but i couldn't get follow any of those tutorials, because first, USB debugging isn't enabled on my phone, my bootloader is locked, i don't have TWRP custom recovery and i don't have an sd card in my phone. Is there anyway to fix this ?
