Sounds to me like you have immersive mode enabled.

[Q] Status bar problem LG Optimus One Paranoid 2.5.2

I have an LG Optimus One (P500) with Paranoid Android 2.5.2. I have a problem with the status bar.
In Paranoid Settings I have selected the Phone mode.
In vertical view the status bar stays over the home and it isn't possible to see the app in the home. In horizontal view the status bar covers the home and the dock.
I've read that the paranoid android 2.2 version, includes a bug fix of this problem.
Phone statusbar expanded bugs fixed

Why have I this problem yet?
Check "Auto Hide" in Settings, System, Statusbar, to finally get Fullscreen

I've tried to find the auto hide option, but i don't have it.
Thanks 4 your help!

[Q] The navigation bar has disappeared

I almost always use my phone in extended desktop mode, so the nav bar is hidden, but sometimes for some reason I needed the nav bar so I turned off the extended desktop mode and there never was any problem. But now I can even disable Gravitybox in Xposed and there's still not going to be a nav bar.
Is it happened to anyone else before? Can I fix it without a factory reset?

Are your Xposed & Gravitybox up to date?

Yes, they are, but as I said before, I've tried disabling Gravitybox, so if that was causing the problems it should've been fine after rebooting.
Anyways, I'll do a factory reset and hope that'll solve my problems.

Just to be clear, why would you rather have a status bar with no status icons instead of simply no status bar at all?

Personal preference. I want a change.I like immersive mode with pie. It's just not what I want to be honest.I would like it empty and to use a widget to relay the info that would show up.(I.e WiFi signal carrier signal clock )

Sorry, I get the "clean look" idea. I just don't understand what the difference is to you to have a clean status bar vs no status bar... I don't see why you would want the former not the latter. Or would completely hiding the status bar be an option too?

I would "hide it".I've never really been a widget person,so I'd like to try something new and use a widget to give me all the info normally displayed in the status bar,but I don't want to use something that takes away the keys I added and colored. Any thoughts?

Widget is only good if you're in the launcher. What about in apps? Some custom laucnhers can hide status bar when you're in launcher (homescreen etc) but then not when in apps. How would that suit?

I'm one of the small niche groups that actually really G.N.L.I like the functionality of swiping to my left for my cards.I think I had a ROM on my gnex that I was able to hide icons than make status bar transparent.I'll check out a few custom ROMs and see what I can come up with.If not I'll make my own build to suit my needs.won't be the 1st time...thanks for the feed back I was just looking for the cheap way out.

Use the xposed module gravity box. And use the display setting called immersive status bar. It'll hide the status bar while keeping your navigation bar. You can keep your colored nav keys, not see the status bar, and you won't have to use pie. If I'm not misunderstanding, that's what you want?

Thanks buddy, apparently I missed that set of options in G.B.That's what I was looking for.

Disabling vibrate/silent notification icons

I've just noticed after updating to 5.1.7 (I skipped .6) that I have a vibrate icon in the status bar (I am in vibrate, so this isn't in itself odd). However, I can't seem to find a way to hide it. I checked Settings / Status Bar / Icon Manager, but it isn't listed there.
I am rooted with magisk, and have xposed, if there is a simple workaround that anyone can recommend.
(While I'm posting, I really wish I could move the clock over to the right too.)
Thanks!
Systemui tuner in app store might be able to do that
Thanks, that worked! I toggled off "volume", and it took care of both.
Thanks for helping! There's no "vibration" option in System UI Tuner makes people so confusing...

Oxygen already allows to hide things in the Status Bar, under the Display options, you don't need a third party app On custom ROMs, depends on the build though !

I'm on Hovoc, which supports disabling Status Bar icons long time ago
But no matter using ROM or SystemUITuner to disable icons, the "Vibrate" icon always showed as the name of "Volume", which makes me confusing lmao.

Fully immersive mode

Hi I normally use bxactions to hide both the status bar and nav keys but it doesn't seem to be compatible yet and looks like Samsung have even stopped use been able to hide the softkeys
Does anyone know another way of having immersive mode I know it can be done with adb but doesn't that just leave us with a constant black bar at the top?
Thanks

Yeah, I tried hiding the status bar with ADB but it doesn't look right in most apps. You can still hide the navigation bar and use gestures, I'm just baffled that you can't hide the status bar in the default Samsung browser anymore. The option is still present on my Note 9 running an older version but on the Note10+ it's gone.

Ya I have the note 9 too and I've just got it set to immersive on the bxactions app but cannot seem to get it sorted on the note 10 I'm too paranoid about screen burn so its normally the first thing I do lol
On the Note 9, you can enable gesture navigation and then turn off the "hints" buttons, giving you a full screen experience. It should work the same way on the Note 10+.

Thanks I've tried that but don't like full gestures I like been able to swipe from the bottom and it brings up the softkeys also I'm after hiding the status bar the same way
You can use this to have an immersive mode toggle. You can choose what it hides. Status bar and nav bar or 1 or the other
