I have an LG Optimus One (P500) with Paranoid Android 2.5.2. I have a problem with the status bar.
In Paranoid Settings I have selected the Phone mode.
In vertical view the status bar stays over the home and it isn't possible to see the app in the home. In horizontal view the status bar covers the home and the dock.
I've read that the paranoid android 2.2 version, includes a bug fix of this problem.
Phone statusbar expanded bugs fixed

Why have I this problem yet?
Check "Auto Hide" in Settings, System, Statusbar, to finally get Fullscreen

I've tried to find the auto hide option, but i don't have it.
Thanks 4 your help!

Is there any way to remove the notification bar time without completely hiding the bar itself (example: with MetaMorph)? Would like to replace the notification bar time with something such as the date or simply nothing at all.
Having a widget such as Beautiful Widgets display the time along side the stock notification bar time seems like overkill.

You may know this but Launcher Pro has the option of hiding the notification bar.
CM6 has this option.

the Ultimate Droid Rom also has the option to remove the clock from the notification bar instead of hiding the bar... if you don't want to do that.
Hi I normally use bxactions to hide both the status bar and nav keys but it doesn't seem to be compatible yet and looks like Samsung have even stopped use been able to hide the softkeys
Does anyone know another way of having immersive mode I know it can be done with adb but doesn't that just leave us with a constant black bar at the top?
Thanks

Yeah, I tried hiding the status bar with ADB but it doesn't look right in most apps. You can still hide the navigation bar and use gestures, I'm just baffled that you can't hide the status bar in the default Samsung browser anymore. The option is still present on my Note 9 running an older version but on the Note10+ it's gone.

Ya I have the note 9 too and I've just got it set to immersive on the bxactions app but cannot seem to get it sorted on the note 10 I'm too paranoid about screen burn so its normally the first thing I do lol
On the Note 9, you can enable gesture navigation and then turn off the "hints" buttons, giving you a full screen experience. It should work the same way on the Note 10+.

Thanks I've tried that but don't like full gestures I like been able to swipe from the bottom and it brings up the softkeys also I'm after hiding the status bar the same way
You can use this to have an immersive mode toggle. You can choose what it hides. Status bar and nav bar or 1 or the other

I have no idea how I dit it, but my status bar is hidden. It only shows up when I pull down from the top of the screen. Looks like my phone is in full-screen mode or something like that.
Any idea how I can get my status bar back? I can't find anything in settings.
Did you try rebooting your phone ? Also, is it also happening on the homescreen ?
U activated immersive mode

Yes, I rebooted the phone allready, but that doesn't help. It's happening on all screens and in all apps.

Did you install an app called "navbar" or even "Fluid navigation gestures" ? If not, try to change your navigation method by going into Settings -> Buttons and gestures -> Navigation bar and gestures, and select another method. Then, comeback to the three buttons method and see if the problem still occurs

Thanks for helping. I haven't installed those apps. If I change my navigation method, even the navigation keys are hidden.
I fixed it with the adb commands in this thread; https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-7-pro/how-to/immersive-mode-t3936671.
Thanks for trying to help me
Glad you found a solution using ADB...however, there is a setting that will hide the NAV bar...go to settings > Buttons & gestures > Navigation bar & gestures > Navigation bar customization > 2nd toggle from the top = Hide the navigation bar.
Using the search feature in settings can help you find all sorts of various settings.

That makes no sense...why would everyone else have that option and you don't?
After you get to the last page = "Navigation bar & gestures" are you saying that at the bottom, under "CUSTOM SETTINGS" that there is no option called = "Navigation Bar Customization????
If not...then I don't know what to tell you...something is amiss here.
You need to choose "Back, Home, Recents first...then it will show up.

I found it, but I use gestures. That's why I didn't see it. But still no option to hide the statusbar. Only an option to hide the navigationbar. But that wasn't the problem . My statusbar was hidden, not my navigation bar.
I miss having a rooted phone for this simple reason.
Anyone found a way or app to display the date in the status bar in this format m/d/yy ?

Just search date in statusbar on play store but there be an permanent notification on notification panel unfortunately i use it to display internet speed and couldn't get rid of the notification
I've tried a dozen apps on the play store and none of them display the date in the format I'm looking for in the status bar
Hi all!
Does anyone know if there's a built-in way, or an app, that I can use to find out what app has put an icon on the status bar?
For example, there's currently an "alarm clock" icon in my status bar, but I didn't set an alarm on anything. I'm wonder what app placed it there.
Any way I can find out which app did it?
This is on a Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact running Android 10.

That'd be great, except it's not a notification, it's not on the notification bar, it's on the status bar (right side). Notification settings doesn't show anything from that side of the bar.
Unless I'm sadly mistaken? Care to elucidate?

I'm not on your device so I can't say for certain. Maybe Settings > Display > Status Bar ?

I don't think I've seen any such thing, unfortunately.

Ok, it turns out it was the latest update to DejaOffice - it DOES show alarms/notifications, but since the update, it's showing an alarm icon in the status side of the top/status/notification bar, and not showing a notification. Opening the app does nothing to dispell the alarm icon. I had to go through and kill all of my apps, one at a time, to figure out which app it was.
Now I'll post on the DejaOffice forum about this.
