Hello everyone. I'm new to this site. New to forum's. I have an issue regarding my Samsung galaxy phone my fiance got me bc my other phone broke. I was wanting to put my SIM card in and can't figure out if it even takes a SIM card? The model number under the battery is SCH-R7-40C. Can anyone help me out? I'm using wifi on a friends phone and MUST have a phone for work. Thank you

You did not mention about the exact device model.
However there is a general forum for android here http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help where you can get better help and support if you try to ask over there.
Good luck.

I know someone that bought a second hand phone off facebook / craigs list. She is trying to use it on cricket and it is only connecting to G on her sim card. So I don't think it was meant to be used on that carrier. It does accommodate dual sim cards. Does anyone recognize this phone? http://imgur.com/a/KaFvi
That is, does anyone recognize the manufacturer and model of phone.
It looks like a Samsung not clone. Sorry to say but that maybe the best she gets as those devices only Get better speeds in China.

My friend recently got this phone but had never used it. I have an account with Ting and the imei checked out just fine, they said with one of their SIM cards it would work on their network no problem. I have 2 questions;
1.since no SIM has been activated on this phone with any carrier dies that have any bearing in it being kicked out not?
2. A brand new sim card came in the phone, again never activated. Is there a reason why that SIM card I'd number count just be attached to my thing account? I thought that they just tore that number in and connect it to the appropriate account n I'm confused in why what logo is on it matters.
Thank you in advance for any help or insight that gets sent my way and I appreciate everyone's patience if my questions seem silly or dumb. I am legit confuse though,

Unfortunately there is not much about your exact device on xda.
I found this thread: [Q] LG G Vista - Root Request by ClassickWORLD.
If you register on xda, you can post in this thread or in the Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum.
Hopefully you will get better help there :fingers-crossed:

Hi and thank you for using XDA Assist
Unfortunally no, you can't do this thing with an app or in any other way.
But if your phone was without a SIM card then it should be a carrier bought one, so if you broke your phone and you bought it from a carrier shop like for example T-Mobile AT&T etc... You can ask to transfer your phone number and use it on a new SIM card. This thing can be done in my country so i don't know how the things work in yours, but you can always try to see how it goes.
Good luck!
I got a Samsung Galaxy S4 for Christmas and I am using this as a WiFi phone. What I wondering is if there is a way to get rid of the No sim card warning without buying a Sim card. Is there?

Hey everyone. Sorry for the noob and the redundant question. I've combed through all of the 930P forums for an answer and my head is spinning in circles. Let's cut to it...
I have an unlocked S7 from sprint. My son has used it for about a year as a tablet using wifi. It has never been activated through sprint. I am a verizon customer and want to get a verizon SIM working with it so he can have a fully functional phone. I've read at least a dozen different threads on what to do, but don't want to brick the it. It shows 'Invalid SIM card' message when I put the verizon SIM card in it and the phone does not have any of the Samsung bloatware on it. Can anyone help or point me in a good direction, or would it be easier to sell it and find a Verizon variant? Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED! I have a 7 year old who is BUGGING me about his phone.
