That's your answer than. This is a deodex stock file, as stated by the op right at the very top so it can't be missed.
What this means is there will be zero mods. All *modifications* done is to deodex and removed Knox....as stated in the op.

Yes it's for the users who uses those microsd card readers and also once a storage case is available where you can place your micro sdcard inside of an case the users will be all set. Hopefully Incipio will release their offgrid case for the Note 5 or another company will follow with their own storage case.

i use a otg and it stays on my keychain. Now if twrp would just fix the read /write issue we can make backups to the drive and not the phone i only have 10 gb left on a 64gb which was really 55gb lol

Check my guide in second post. Sometimes flashing stock odin tars can erase your internal storage if you need to factory reset the device in stock recovery so your device can boot up after it gets stuck on the boot logo for some users after installing a stock odin tar file. All the info is there in the second post on how to update to the latest firmware.

[RECOVERY] Custom Recoveries for Galaxy R

Hello everybody!
Yesterday, I collected my previous recoveries, updated them and built a new one (TWRP) too. I made CWM-flashable and Odin-flashable packages too.
CWM v4.0.0.2: (Thanks to The-Droidster for the recovery! )
- This is the first ever custom recovery for the Galaxy R.
- It has all the nice CWM features.
- You can restore ICS with this.
- It has no known bugs. Everybody used it as a starting point.
- What I changed:
- Removed the /lib/modules directory. --> 0,1MB size decrease.
- Enabled button backlight.
- Key layout: Scrolling: Volume up+down, Selecting: Home key, Going Back: Power+Back button. (Menu key doesn't do anything.)
CWM: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?71ynk9btw7euocr
ODIN: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?iczq8xed26ohakw
CWM v5.5.0.4:
- Built from the latest CM9 sources.
- It has all the nice CWM features.
- It can restore v4 backups (you can restore ICS with this too).
- Very stable!
- It has no known bugs yet (Lot of users have been using it and no bugs have been reported).
- Toggle feature is disabled! (I find it really annoying and it doesn't make real sense for a recovery to lock the screen.)
- Key layout: Scrolling: Volume up+down, Selecting: Home key, Going Back: Power+Back button. (Menu key doesn't do anything.)
CWM: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?98c1smq7nk4485d
ODIN: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?c7qbjaqwgpnbr9w
CWM v6.0.3.2:
- Built from the latest CM10.1 sources.
- It has all the nice CWM features.
- It can restore v4 backups (you can restore ICS with this too).
- Key layout: Scrolling: Volume up+down, Selecting: Home key, Going Back: Power+Back button. (Menu key doesn't do anything.)
- Known issues: ADB Sideload
CWM: http://www.mediafire.com/download/7xyevjf32fixf3a/CWMv6.0.3.2_CWM.zip
ODIN: http://www.mediafire.com/download/oksv1o2hu63gohi/CWMv6.0.3.2_ODIN.tar
CWM v6.0.1.5 Touch:
- Built using the online builder at http://builder.clockworkmod.com
- It has all the nice CWM features.
- It can restore v4 backups (you can restore ICS with this too).
- Key layout: Scrolling up: Volume up or home button, Scrolling down: Volume down or menu button, Selecting: Power button, Going back: Back button. (This is the default layout and cannot be changed.)
- The touch responsiveness is a little lazy. You have to wait some seconds before it starts working. (The online builder says it needs an ICS kernel for the touch version. We use the CM10 kernel (based on stock ICS one), but it's still lazy.)
CWM: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?jz24eugrrr988f2
ODIN: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?6vju9tlf9byeufe
TWRP v2.5.0.0: (Thanks to 'cooleagle' for the tip! )
- Built from the latest TWRP and CM10.1 sources.
- It has a lot of nice features, more than CWM does.
(For example:
- on-screen keyboard -> custom backup names
- built-in file manager
- built-in terminal)
- It has a fully touch-driven and very intuitive interface.
- The touch responsiveness is a little lazy. You have to wait some seconds before it starts working. (The online builder says it needs an ICS kernel for the touch version. We use the CM10.1 kernel (based on stock ICS one), but it's still lazy.)
Note: Backups of TWRP are said not to be compatible with those of CWM. For everything to work well, I recommend that you create a TWRP backup too before modding.
CWM: http://www.mediafire.com/download/8ibammwrtwrwo3d/TWRPv2.5.0.0_CWM.zip
ODIN: http://www.mediafire.com/download/pjxp5xhi96gtbvb/TWRPv2.5.0.0_ODIN.tar
PhilZ v5.06.6: (Thanks to Tha TechnoCrat for the tip! )
- Built from the latest PhilZ and CM10.1 sources.
- It has a lot of nice features, more than CWM does. Check here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2201860
- Based on CWMv6.0.3.2
- Known issues: ADB Sideload
CWM: http://www.mediafire.com/download/4qz1g86oncn4foq/PhilZv5.06.6_CWM.zip
ODIN: http://www.mediafire.com/download/ixlxkh87s2lxbp9/PhilZv5.06.6_ODIN.tar
Stock GB recovery (XWLA4): (Thanks to xlm13x for this! )
- Use this if you want to return to the stock version.
CWM: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?di4e3ms3qrxuapy
ODIN: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?i4a1t7ntavvguu7

ODIN: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?pjn87j4fyjs34vt
If you want to install a custom recovery for the first time, you always have to start with an Odin-flashable package first. Flashing a recovery with Odin doesn't increase the download counter!
Tutorial (Flashing with Odin):
Please refer to the following thread (This is very detailed and good in my opinion): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1406664
Choose a downloaded TAR file (ODIN-flashable) for PDA option.
Tutorial (Flashing with CWM):
Note: This only works if you have already flashed CWM with Odin.
1: Reboot into recovery mode. Do this with a custom rom or by powering on your phone and pushing Volume UP+Home button simultaneously while the Samsung boot logo appears (you have to be fast).
2: Select 'Install zip from sdcard' menu.
3: Select 'Choose zip from sdcard' menu (or if you want to flash something from your internal sdcard, select 'Choose zip from internal sdcard' menu.) Note: On CWM v4.0.0.2, there isn't any separate menu for internal sdcard. It shows internal sdcard by default. External sdcard is mounted under the external_sd folder on the internal sdcard.
4: Navigate to the file you want and choose it.
5: Choose 'yes'.
6: Wait for it to finish and you're done.
Changelog:
08 July 2012: Initial release of v5.5.0.4 in old thread
09 July 2012: Added CWMv6.0.0.0 Touch (alpha)
17 July 2012: Added CWMv6.0.0.3

30 August 2012: Modified CWMv4.0.0.2 (touchkey backlight, some init tweaks and smaller image) added.
2 September 2012: Stock GB (XWLA4) and ICS (XXLQ7) recoveries added.

Update the OP!
@Adam...Now that this thread has been stickied it is best that you also add the attached CWM recovery v4.0.0.2 to the OP. This will make it a one stop thread for all recoveries for Galaxy R. Also please include a short tut about flashing these recoveries through recovery and ODIN separately!(With screenies if possible!)
One more thing, the attached v4 CWM recovery is ODIN flashable. See if u can make a CWM flashable version out of it as you did for other recoveries!
Thnx:good:

Thanks for the idea! I'll do it on tuesday (I'll arrive home then.) as well as I'll reupload everything to somewhere else as Dropbox has limits with file downloads. I may also add a flashable stock recovery if somebody wants to revert only the recovery.

Along with the stock recoveries of ICS & GB CWM flashable zips kindly try to add a Unroot CWM zip (ICS / GB separate if needed) so that everyone can just flash that zip & get unrooted if in any circumstances they can't flash the stock ROM via a USB if the port is damaged. This will serve as a way for people who have damaged their USB port to get unrooted, flash stock recovery & claim warranty for the damaged USB port.
pankaj88 has already made one but it doesn't remove the busybox so if possible try to make a zip which removes all the traces of the a rooted stock ROM.
You could start a new thread for it if you think it's needed as it is pretty useful & important.
Cheers !
Adam Now we are having ICS, so is it possible to rectify the touch Recovery bug (little lazy for few seconds) please.....
oops sorry i haven't read the OP fully, Ok now i understood because of kernel size you are not able to do it.....
UPDATE:
I updated the links, added CWM v4.0.0.2 and a short tutorial.
I'll get stock GB and ICS recoveries and add them in the following days (It depends on when I get them.)
If u want I can send u stock recovery images.

You cannot flash through stock recovery right now. Flash a one with Odin first, it'll not increase the binary counter.

If you're asking that question you should go check out the development thread for Xposed and get caught up with it's development for 5.1.1. I "think" it has been made to work on 5.1.1 bu tdon'tquote me on that. I'm sure somebody will be flashing it soon enough and will probably post about it. You can give it a try yourself. Get Xposed support in threads designated for that. Good luck.

Everything is explained on the Op... just have to read it
Considering this is the 1st rom for the Sprint N5, you are already on a non rooted stock rom until you flash this 1

Place OEM unlock and DeBugging to ON
Download the ROM from OP to the phone
Place in ODIN/Download mode
Uncheck auto-reboot in options then ODIN flash TWRP ALPHA TAR file
DO NOT BOOT PHONE YET ! ! !
Now hold vol down+power til phone powers down.
Go into recovery (vol up+home+power hold all three for 5 seconds)
You can dirty flash BUT I RECOMMEND CLEAN BY wiping both cache's, factory reset and system.

================================================
Mini-Bootloaders
These will allow you to flash between 5.1.1 and 6.0x with ease.
Important note:
- You MUST flash the full marshmallow tarball at least once to prepare the phone.
- You MUST match the Bootloader version to your backup, they are not interchangeable. The OK3 firmware will run older versions of 5.1.1 too.
Mini Bootloaders Link
OK3 = 5.1.1
PA2 & PC3 = 6.0.1
Use of Mini Bootloaders:
- These do not include the OS and REQUIRE that you have a matching OS backup already saved to restore
- Flash the bootloader with Odin (same instructions apply as rom flash in Post #1). Make sure you uncheck the auto reboot choice first.
Once the flash is complete unplug the phone, press and hold pwr + volume/down to reboot and as soon as the phone resets, immediately press pwr + home + volume/up to enter custom recovery and restore your backup.
** If you missed the key sequence try again, it takes good timing but I'm sure you'll be a pro at it in no time.
Just for Fun
ZTE 'DiscoBall' Lockscreen
- two finger hold on disco ball brings up extended shortcut menu
- works ONLY on swype type lockscreen
- does not have onscreen notifications, its just a cool little app
- little bug, pressing home button takes you right to the desktop so be aware if you carry this in your pocket, it may unlock on its own

Stock kernel.
So we have to be on mm to flash this? This might be a dumb question, is there anyway of being on 5.1.1 to flash this?

Debloat tool updated v1.1 to deal with some of those nasty Sprint apps that get installed to the data partition if you forget to flash it before the first boot.
Known issue - some of the Sprint bloat will popup with some errors that they cannot install. Not really interested in getting all the downloaded bloat working at the moment, just thought I would point it out to prevent some questions.

To fix this, remove Sprint ID. Freezing it or hiding it with Debloater may not be enough.
Is there a kernel for this rom?

Freaking cool dude..
It says my USB storage is corrupt. But I put in my S6 and it works fine. I even formatted it and it still says corrupt. If you could upload a patch to fix that'd be sweet. That's the only issue I've come across. Thanks for the ROM.

I even went into TWRP and it let me mount USB storage and select from it. So gotta be something in ROM that keeps saying it's corrupt. Thanks again.
The hotspot hack you have on this rom, do you use The HiddenMenu.apk from the OK3 Rom?

I'm hearing about this on other versions of MM as well. Someone suggested that they formatted the SD on the phone and its working fine again.
As far as I know, its not doing it on stock but this version is so new that I cant verify if it has something to do with marshmallow being deodexed or what the issue is with that. We'll have to keep an eye on it. I have a few smaller SD cards, maybe I'll start swapping them around to see if I can duplicate it. We need more information and input from other people. :good:

Dude, you've run a bunch of my stuff, has that EVER broken hotspot?
For everyone else, the real answer is no.
Quick question. Does the MM debloat tool effect GearVR?
For those with internal storage issues, open up a terminal & try
su
restorecon -FR /data/media/0
Not sure if will work but it would on my Nexus 5 when I encountered that issue.
Can this be used as a daily
I just stumbled onto this thread. Is the ROM buggy? I can't tell from the comments
Flashed this morning and running great. Good work Dunham. Question, what was the ad block app you used on MOAR rom?

Rename both files and remove the '.md5' portion of the file names. Your files should end in '.tar' and it will work.

No its from the official Canadian marshmallow 6.0.1 firmware that has been released a couple of days ago. It is compatible for our T-mobile note 5 device. Only difference is no t-mobile bloatware, t-mobile specific features, and wifi-calling. Everything has been working well for me i love how fluid marshmallow is right now there aint no going back to lollipop.

thanks you very much ! i waited for this moment a long time ago.........
if anyone can give me the commands on how to extract the param.bin the right way from the canadian 6.0.1 official firmware on this rom i would greatly appreciate it. I have done so but i get a 8MB param.bin file. Most likely it's wrong, it should be a little over 1MB.
The command i have been using is ---> dd if=/dev/block/param of=/sdcard/param.bin
If anything if you can get it extracted, send it to me so then i can post the instructions for the canadian variant users (N920W8).

No VoLTE for me. I had no LTE at all out of the box. I found there was no APN defined so I set one up for T-Mobile. I now have LTE but when I make a phone call, it drops to 4G. Also there is no Video calling either but I never use that.
Install was smooth and the only issues I saw so far was the no APN.

Yes apn should be there hidden, but the user wont be able to see it due to a current user profile restriction i havent seen that one before must be a marshmallow thing havent found out what would cause it maybe something in the build.prop or csc.
I have gotten tmobile lte data once the rom was flashed i didnt need to add no apn settings i could receive calls and send/receive messages. And video calling is a tmobile feature. There is no specific tmobile features in this rom. Hopefully once official marshmallow comes out for tmobile i can work with the firmware. [emoji108]

I asked this question so many times here but didn't get any response. Why unite 3 has been thrown out from development while unite 2 has great development support ?
