Rename both files and remove the '.md5' portion of the file names. Your files should end in '.tar' and it will work.

No its from the official Canadian marshmallow 6.0.1 firmware that has been released a couple of days ago. It is compatible for our T-mobile note 5 device. Only difference is no t-mobile bloatware, t-mobile specific features, and wifi-calling. Everything has been working well for me i love how fluid marshmallow is right now there aint no going back to lollipop.

thanks you very much ! i waited for this moment a long time ago.........

if anyone can give me the commands on how to extract the param.bin the right way from the canadian 6.0.1 official firmware on this rom i would greatly appreciate it. I have done so but i get a 8MB param.bin file. Most likely it's wrong, it should be a little over 1MB.
The command i have been using is ---> dd if=/dev/block/param of=/sdcard/param.bin
If anything if you can get it extracted, send it to me so then i can post the instructions for the canadian variant users (N920W8).

No VoLTE for me. I had no LTE at all out of the box. I found there was no APN defined so I set one up for T-Mobile. I now have LTE but when I make a phone call, it drops to 4G. Also there is no Video calling either but I never use that.
Install was smooth and the only issues I saw so far was the no APN.

Yes apn should be there hidden, but the user wont be able to see it due to a current user profile restriction i havent seen that one before must be a marshmallow thing havent found out what would cause it maybe something in the build.prop or csc.
I have gotten tmobile lte data once the rom was flashed i didnt need to add no apn settings i could receive calls and send/receive messages. And video calling is a tmobile feature. There is no specific tmobile features in this rom. Hopefully once official marshmallow comes out for tmobile i can work with the firmware. [emoji108]

Great work. I imagine that you must download the zip and install from recovery and use the option install zip and you search the file.
My question is why can whe not wipe the phone?
Can whe use the other option of CWM for format the data internal memory?
Is there some video on YouTube to see the options of these ROM? Have you included some auto update for future updates or must she reinstall all the new version?
Which of the 2 files is the latest version the v1.0 or v.1.1
Must whe install bootlogo or is it optional?

Yes, you download the ZIP file and flash it from recovery. There is a bug in the only available CWM recovery. If you need to wipe data, I would recommend that you format the data partition. Never use Wipe/Factory Reset.
I don't have any videos for the ROM features. Besides the changes listed in the OP, this is pure stock. Everytime that there is an update you would have to download the new ZIP file and flash it from recovery.
No need to install the Boot animation unless you want the Korean boot animation back.
The ROM versions are based on the Samsung versions and the changes I make to each version.
For instance, the Samsung version is NG8 and is followed by 1.1a it means that I have made a few revisions to the ROM based on NG8.
After NG8 came NH2 (H after G) and the ROM based on version NH2 has only had one revision (version 1).
I hope that this makes sense. Always look at the update date to determine which one is the latest version.
I will make a video of this rom if you like and post it on my youtube channel. Like a video tour

Is there any way to get rid of the annoying "set warranty bit:kernel" message once you've installed the custom ROM?
Also same question for the korean characters on the boot logo.
Thanks a lot in advance!

As far as I know, The "set warranty bit:kernel" is either coming from the recovery's kernel or the ROM's kernel. Both have been modified not conforming to the Samsung security model. Therefore the message.
Those Korean characters are coming from the bootloader itself prior to loading Android's kernel. I am not sure how to modify that. Maybe Hex Editing the boatloader file and flashing it back with Odin?
Hey Miscom:
I really appreciate your development with the G906S/K. There aren't many devs for this device yet so you are a pioneer in the field!
Couple quick questions:
Does the international Samsung boot animation you added in replace the branded animation?
Let me elaborate: so initially the phone boots up saying S5 LTE-A, then followed up by the corresponding telecommunication company animation. So SKT on the G906S and Olleh on the G906S.
That bloat ware animation is the one that is removed and replaced, right?
Secondly, is the H/H+ vanilla to other phone variants of TouchWiz?
Also could you enlighten me on the following features:
Xposed
No Wipe
Thanks man

* Mounts and Storage -> format /cache
* Mounts and Storage -> format /system
* Mounts and Storage -> format /data
* Mounts and Storage -> format /sdcard
* Mounts and Storage -> format /emmc

Yes. This is the first time that I see a Samsung device not showing H/H+. That's why I made the change as suggested by prodigiez Could this be how it's use in Korea?.
Also could you enlighten me on the following features:
Xposed
No Wipe
XPosed: An advanced framework that allows you to tweak your device to your heart's content. The best way to understand it, it's to use it. Be careful, though, you may do something with that may create issues. In that case just reflash the ROM and start over.
No wipe: The ROM will not wipe the data partition during installation

You can format /data and /cache. Never format the SDCard. This would wipe your pictures and other documents that you may have there.
And never format /emmc.

Ok, but my propose is to know when i can use thease formats, i mean when i will sell the phone i will erase it completly, then i must use the:
Mounts and Storage -> format /cache
Mounts and Storage -> format /data
Mounts and Storage -> format /sdcard
Mounts and Storage -> format /emmc
Is thease correect?
The format emmc is for the external SD card?
The only think that its not allowed is to wipe the phone?

I see your point now. Yes, you would format /cache, /data and /sdcard. I would **not** format /emmc. I have never done it and I have read that doing that creates issues. I would remove the external SD Card and format it in a PC.

That's your answer than. This is a deodex stock file, as stated by the op right at the very top so it can't be missed.
What this means is there will be zero mods. All *modifications* done is to deodex and removed Knox....as stated in the op.

Yes it's for the users who uses those microsd card readers and also once a storage case is available where you can place your micro sdcard inside of an case the users will be all set. Hopefully Incipio will release their offgrid case for the Note 5 or another company will follow with their own storage case.

Check my guide in second post. Sometimes flashing stock odin tars can erase your internal storage if you need to factory reset the device in stock recovery so your device can boot up after it gets stuck on the boot logo for some users after installing a stock odin tar file. All the info is there in the second post on how to update to the latest firmware.

Virtual Partition TWRP recovery
TWRP 3.0.2: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24545070682210374
From another non-virtual partitioned ROM:
Make sure you have the latest OFFICIAL TWRP installed.
Backup current ROM if desired
Back up EVERYTHING on your internal SD card to your computer (the internal SD card WILL BE ERASED in the next step).
In TWRP, go to Wipe -> Advanced Wipe -> check Internal Storage -> press on "Repair or Change File System" -> press on "Change File System" -> press on "EXT4", and then swipe to start formatting the internal SD card. This can take up to a minute.
Wipe Data, Cache and System.
Copy the newest version of my TWRP recovery to your device and flash it.
After that is finished, go back to the main menu, then go to Reboot and press on Recovery.
Once the device has rebooted back into TWRP recovery, goto mount then uncheck and recheck data.
Copy and flash the new ROM and your GApps package to your device and flash
Reboot system
Connect your phone to your computer and copy back your backed-up internal SD card data to the internal SD card.
Repartitioning is completed. Enjoy your 8GB of additional app storage space.
From CM12.1 or another virtual partitioned ROM:
Factory reset (to avoid problems)
Flash ROM and GApps
Updating to a newer version:
Just flash ROM and reboot.
Trying this tomorrow. Thank you
So I have to partition my phone to run this?

@bryan2894 - I appreciate all your hard work and really would like to help test this, but I can't realistically do so. My skyrocket is my daily driver, so I can't repartion to test this ROM, then repartition back to original to use my more-or-less stable Lollipop, the repartition to test the next version of your ROM, ... I do not think I can go back to another ROM after doing the virtual repartition, without undoing the virtual repartition each time, right? (I never tried Sultan's Lollipop with virtual re-partitioning, for much the same reason.)
@bryan2894 Tried installing twice last night,phone booted up too a screen talking about encryption error..cannot finish install. Says hit reset button at bottom of page to do a factory reset and try again. Hitting reset takes you back too recovery.
It failed to install twice for me
Got it to flash and boot up but wasn't able to flash 6.0 gapps in twrp it says no build.prop. tried micro and pico still no go. The rom was smooth just no gapps.
Great ROM so far. The only thing I can't get to work is calling someone. Every time it says Cellular network is unavailable. Any ideas how to fix

From another rom they had booting but then it would reboot at start up.
If you're getting a bootloop at the initial setup wizard

ROM stuck at animation boot?
this because you must change the file system from F2FS to EXT4 to done boot process
* reboot to TWRP.
* go to Wipe -> Advanced Wipe.
* check Data -> Change file system -> select EXT4.
* swipe the screen to wipe it .
How can I fix Sim?
* go to Settings -> Extras -> disable "Sim Card Slot2 " and reboot.
How can I enable Google Codecs
* go to Settings -> Extras -> enable "Use Google H264" (it's a bit laggy but better than nothing).
How to enable Double Touch To Wake?
* go to Settings -> Extras -> enable "Double Touch to Wake"
Should I reflash the vendor partition if come from other roms?
* if you coming from Emui 5.x, the answer is no because the custom rom are based on Emui 5.0 source code, so all you
have to is flashing your favorite custom rom
Audio and camera are not working?
* bring up a logcat to help us, instead of writing useless comments.
I got error 7, how can I fix that?
* use my own TWRP recovery. or you can simply remove the whole assert line in the updater-script file inside the META-INF folder save and re-flash.
How can I fix RIL Crashes
flash root.
Copy the phone.prop into /system/vendor and /vendor.
reboot, now you should able to do calls for more than 2 minuts
Calls still crash even with fix SIM
Run adb shell and type the following command xxd /sys/firmware/devicetree/base/hisi,modem_id .
the result will be something like the following out ( for single sim devices):
1|hi6250:/ $ xxd /sys/firmware/devicetree/base/hisi,modem_id
00000000: xxxx x000 ;xx.

Search for your xxxxx000, and setup the following flags .
ro.config.client_number=1
ro.config.modem_number=1
persist.dsds.enabled=false
persist.radio.multisim.config=dsds (remove it properly)
for dual sim devices just edit these 2 flags:
ro.config.client_number=1
ro.config.modem_number=1
Save and reboot.

Also why permessive? I think debug it's done as everything works! Better enforcing

Did you erase all of your fingerprints in stock ROM before flashing?
If not, flash elite ROM, erase fingerprints, and then flash this/slim back

some devices require the following flags in build.prop ;
ro.config.client_number=2
rild.libargs1=-m modem1
rild.libpath1=/vendor/lib64/libbalong-ril-1.so
rild.libpath=/vendor/lib64/libbalong-ril.so
rild.libargs=-m modem0
save and reboot, should fix the problem then.
I use pico, always.

DISCLAIMER:
By proceeding further, you are assuming sole responsibility for the integrity and functionality of your device. Although this ROM has been thoroughly tested on my own device, I take no responsibility for bricked or otherwise inoperable devices incurred as a result of this thread. Follow the instructions carefully, and things should go smoothly and without negative results.

PREREQUISITES:
An unlocked bootloader and TWRP custom recovery are required to install this ROM. IMPORTANT: Use @squid2's TWRP v3.2.1-r1 or older for installation https://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=27958 Newer builds will cause a conflict with the /vendor & /oem partitions when installing my partition updater zip. After installation, you may update TWRP to a newer or current version.
The conflict is due to the partition scheme of my updater-script, and is not due to any fault in @squid2's current TWRP builds. Here is a link to @squid2's TWRP thread for the Qualcomm Moto E4. https://forum.xda-developers.com/mo...velopment/twrp-twrp-moto-g4-qualcomm-t3655160 Please be sure and hit the thanks button on his thread if you use his work.
NOTES:
• If you have previously installed the 26.221.3 OTA to bring your build version up to NCQS26.69-64-10, you should have no need to install the partition updater zip prior to installing the ROM. However, if you are unsure of your present firmware build, or if you have not installed the latest OTA, the partition updater should be installed per the instructions below, in order for the ROM to work with the best results;
• As to force encryption, the kernel fstab has been modified to disable this OEM security feature. However, you may still manually encrypt your /userdata by fully charging your device, going to Settings>Security>Encrypt Phone, and following the on-screen prompts;
• This OTA update did not augment the baseband (radio firmware) version (M8920_15000.280.06.58.05R), which remains unchanged from NCQS26.69-64-8. While the radio firmware did receive a couple of minor patches, the changelog in this regard is insignificant, so I did not include these in either the partition updater or the ROM. If anybody wants these radio patches, leave a comment and I'll fix up a TWRP flashable installer.
INSTRUCTIONS:
• 1. Download the ROM and Partition Updater from the download link below and save them to your device's external storage (because the /usedata partition needs to be formatted to disable force encryption, saving the downloaded zips to internal storage would be futile);
• 2. Make a backup of any important files on your device;
• 3. Boot your device into TWRP recovery mode;
• 4. Select Wipe>Advanced Wipe and select System, Cache & Dalvik Cache. Swipe the action bar to commence the wipe;
• 5. Again select Wipe>Format Data, input the word "YES" when prompted, and swipe the action bar to commence the format. Reboot Recovery (often necessary to ensure proper mounting of /usedata after a format);
• 6. Select Install, navigate to the saved location of the Partition Updater zip, and swipe to commence install (this updates your /oem partition, /rpm primary bootloader, /tz trust zone partition, and /devcfg partition to Build No. NCQS26.69-64-10);
• 7. Select Install, navigate to the ROM zip, and swipe to commence install;
• 8. Reboot System.

If you have taken the OTA update and you are on Build No. NCQS26.69-64-10, and everything is running smoothly, you have no need to install anything here.
I'm not on 10 I'm on 8 but would like that debloted version

It'll be up in a couple of days. By the way, there is no danger in taking the OTA. No reported bugs, instabilities, etc. And you can still flash the debloated ROM when I post it.
Thanks for taking time to do this and keep support going for the E4. I'm planning on trying the debloat when you post it.
S o S just flashed and now it is only booting to TWRP it says its flawed but
Only boots to TWRP help after flash

Does Radio work in Custom Roms.

The radio was not updated with the new OTA. The Baseband Version remains the same as the previous build, M8920_15000.280.06.58.05R
That means the voice calls won't work on Custom ROMs.

Voice, MMS/SMS, and 4G/LTE data works on my device with LineageOS 14.1 on the 05R radio firmware. Although I am aware that an earlier OTA (NCQS26.69-64-8) did break the cell radio for some device owners running custom ROMs.

No. But if you want to install this ROM, you will need to format /userdata in order to disable force encryption. If you want your data encrypted, you are not required to format /userdata.
No, I want only to install the partition updater.

Then formatting data is not necessary. Keep in mind that the partition updater does not change your radio firmware. You'll still have the 05R radio version after updating your partitions. The partition updater updates your bootloader, /devcfg and /oem partitions.
So if your radio didn't work on custom ROMs before, the partition updater likely will not change that.
Why this partition updater size is big compared to the NCQS26.69-56 one.

Because the /oem partition is large (656 MB)
Why isn't it included in the 56 one
