Soft Bricked - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a S6 920I installed with 5.1.1 and i accidentally used the ODIN root meant for 5.0.2. i have browsed through the forums and it seems that the only way to un-brick it is to flash the stock firmware. The problem with this is that the firmware is taking 5 days to download and the download always fails. Please, if anyone has this firmware, can they link it to me. Much thanks will be given
Model SM-G920I

Try flash with Unikernel to S6

Thank you ... I had no idea if the d-load was working or not, so I stopped.
After 5-days, 24/7, over wifi, how do you know that the download was successful?
I'll try doing it now ...
My S6 (Australia) works ok, but not perfectly. Some annoyances, such as screen-off stops playing radio, podcasts & music.

Problems Unrooting my GT-N7000 Phone is bought in Norway (Unlocked & Unbranded)
Hi.. I just rooted my samsung galaxy note (GT-N7000) and now i have problems unrooting it.. Before i rooted the phone, i did not know that i needed to backup my files from my phone. I know, im stupid.. But now i have installed the stock rom for my phone.. I have installed the same firmware as other people from norway have on theyr phones.. yes i have checked But there is still one problem, the phone works ok until i connect it to "kies" then "Kies" tell`s me that "Your device does not support software upgrading via kies". So here is my question, how can i make my device support software upgrading via kies ?
Phone info:
PDA: N7000XXLC1
PHONE: N7000XXLB2
CSC: N7000OXXLB3
Build Info: Fri Mar 2 14:38:11 KST 2012
Modellnumber: GT-N7000
Android-Version: 2.3.6
Baseband-version: N7000XXLB2
Kernel-version: [email protected]#2
And all these numbers, is the same as other N7000 phones here in Norway.. So why dont my phone support software upgrading via Kies ?? And most importantly, how can i fix this problem. I am going to sell my phone, so i need it to be like when i bought it ?
Rom stock
You ought to flash a stock rom ... You can find it on samfirmware site ... You flash a stock firmware with Odin software ... The phone will be unrooted and kies will able to upgrade it ...
Excuse the my pronounce English but i'm an italian guy ...

If do you have some problems do you try to flash a stock kernel with a stock recovery ...

Verizon LRA Device

Does anyone have experience rooting and flashing ROMs on the S6 from a Verizon LRA (LTE Rural America) partner? I have to believe the hardware is the same as Verizon devices, but I would like to make sure any action I might take is compatible with my carrier.
Model number: SM-G920R6
Baseband: G920R6WWU2AOF2
Build Number: LRX22G.G920R6WWU2AOF2
Hardware Version: G920R6.02
Any other phone specs that would be meaningful to determine compatibility?
Thanks

hi i from mexico but i buy this phone on usa... the phone is unlock but ... the CSC is not compatible whit Mexico,
I try flash but is imposible
please help
It is possible
Late reply...
It is possible to gain access to these devices. However, you need a ROM that is compatible with the model. Root access is simple with towel root. If we could get a developer with interest in creating custom ROMS for LRA variants, we could be in a great spot!
hello, I face the same problem. any updates????
Finally!!!
HI. I'm finally can root my SM-G920R6. I use the KingRoot.apk the v4.80.. and root the phone.. but it's not full root. Them I use the SuperSuMe.exe on the PC to remove all the KingRoot app and install the officials SuperSu.apk the program install it's self. and now we can install the correct binary and reboot the device and don't lose root... ohh and my Knox still 0x0... =) XD:laugh: :victory: :highfive:

sincerely I don't know if full root or not. but for me is working.. and other things i don't know if is full knox disabled... the SuperSuMe. block the knox but I don't know if is disabled...
i wish this can't help all the SM-G920R6 user... and don't want to avoid the knox warranty... the only thing you can se. is every time you boot up your phone it say Custom...
the next thing I'm going to do is make a full backup with FlashFire app because.. mi firmware are not in SamMoblie..

Reliable source for ATT firmware?

Hey guys,
I was looking to take another crack at using ATT firmware on my unlocked phone for carrier features, but i am having trouble getting the latest firmware. I understand the official firmware sources like FRIJA don't support the ATT update firmware due to some kind of ATT restriction. the only place i was able to find, that seems to have the new March ATT firmware is Sammobile, but downloading an update file from them takes 9 hours due to their free user limitations. Is there any other known sources to get the latest firmware from?

2x ATT Samsung Galaxy S10E SM-G970U on ATT's network, no software/firmware updates.

I have 2x ATT Samsung Galaxy S10E SM-G970U on ATT's network and they never receive the latest firmware/software updates from this page:
Software update for the Samsung Galaxy S10e / S10 / S10+ / S10 5G (G970U/G973U/G975U/G977U)
I need the latest G970USQU4ETH7 (GS10e) firmware or G970USQS4DTG1 (GS10e) firmware.
Is it just this software update from ATT is just for big OS releases like when Android 10 moves to Android 11? My phone is on the G970USQS3DTDB (GS10e) stock firmware from May 22, 2020. Please assist if you guys can get it for me?
I have already worked with ATT and done a soft reset and cleared factory partition cache and other things including changing the SIM and these are 2 replacements of phones that didn't get updates either. Please assist.
You cant get ATT firmware that im aware of. But you can get G970USQU4ETH7 for USC(US Cellular). Just download SamFirm 5.0 https://samfirmtool.com/samfirm-v0-5-0 And enter SM-G970U in the Model section, and USC in the Region section. Then click check update. After downloaded flash as normal with Odin. If you do not know how to flash there are plenty of tutorials. Good luck!

Or, if you want the G970USQS4DTG1 just follow the same process but instead of using USC in region enter TMB(Tmo) instead.
