2x ATT Samsung Galaxy S10E SM-G970U on ATT's network, no software/firmware updates. - Samsung Galaxy S10e Questions & Answers

I have 2x ATT Samsung Galaxy S10E SM-G970U on ATT's network and they never receive the latest firmware/software updates from this page:
Software update for the Samsung Galaxy S10e / S10 / S10+ / S10 5G (G970U/G973U/G975U/G977U)
I need the latest G970USQU4ETH7 (GS10e) firmware or G970USQS4DTG1 (GS10e) firmware.
Is it just this software update from ATT is just for big OS releases like when Android 10 moves to Android 11? My phone is on the G970USQS3DTDB (GS10e) stock firmware from May 22, 2020. Please assist if you guys can get it for me?
I have already worked with ATT and done a soft reset and cleared factory partition cache and other things including changing the SIM and these are 2 replacements of phones that didn't get updates either. Please assist.

You cant get ATT firmware that im aware of. But you can get G970USQU4ETH7 for USC(US Cellular). Just download SamFirm 5.0 https://samfirmtool.com/samfirm-v0-5-0 And enter SM-G970U in the Model section, and USC in the Region section. Then click check update. After downloaded flash as normal with Odin. If you do not know how to flash there are plenty of tutorials. Good luck!

Or, if you want the G970USQS4DTG1 just follow the same process but instead of using USC in region enter TMB(Tmo) instead.

What's the build number on your device? It would be under settings in about phone.
Hola
I should state that I'm up in Canada, so we're using a different set of regional codes. Nevertheless the latest avialable build I see is: G965WOYV1ARC1 (I have no idea what security level this is). My carrier is still on a February security patch level with build number: G965WVLU1ARBG.

Ok, but that still doesn't explain how can one know if we're on the v1 or v2 bootloader? Or is this bootloader versioning only applicable to the US region?
are there any issues with ARC6? if not i will take the plunge on my Canadian S9+

You're on bootloader v1. The (1) before ARBG is the bootloader version.

Hola
I would be very careful in attempting to load another regions firmware on your Canadian variant. There have be some users who have reported ending up with a bricked device attempting this sort of update. While you can find stock Odin files for our devices, it's still on the v1 bootloader. Not worth the pain...

Let me know if you successfully flash on your device then I'll do it as I'm from Bell mobility
I got the downloads to go through. Will report once flashing is complete. Not sure which firmware will be on the phone when it arrives (att variant) but I'm gonna be flashing u1 then newest rc6 TMobile firmware. Hoping to have full features working as if originally a TMobile variant.
On a side note (mods please excuse) but Samsung. Com has the att variant on sale $639 ($200 off) and since I'm trading in my old s7 I'm getting an additional $200 off so $439 ($466 after tax) for a brand new s9+! Once i flash the TMobile firmware I'll be happy and for $400 off!
Anyone know if i need to sim unlock before flashing this? I've read about having to flash the unlocked rom before flashing the T-Mobile Rom and that's my other question. Can i just flash this tmobile firmware to the phone fresh out of the box or do i need to go to unlocked first (doesn't seem right) and put my TMobile sim in and be good?
My thoughts were that i could just sim unlock thorough a 3rd party then Odin the TMobile firmware and be done. Thanks

You have to unlock your device first, before flashing any other firmware besides your carrier firmware. Flashing unlock firmware, will not unlock your device.

SIM unlock has nothing to do with firmware/rom flashing. You can flash to any U/U1 firmware you want and your device will still be in the same carrier lock/unlock state it was before.
T-Mobile does do things a little differently, however. Flashing a different firmware won't SIM unlock your phone, but I do believe you need to be on a legitimate T-Mobile firmware to unlock the device via their built in unlocking app.
Awesome thanks guys. Will just get a 3rd party unlock service then flash.
If you got it from [email protected] they will unlock it free of charge. And if you didn't I would still try with them first before paying
Will use it to update my converted s9 plus from att to tmobile firmware.
I tried to search for updates in the menu but it says phone is already up to date. But version is RBG.
Latest one is ARC6

Did either of you do it yet? I'm in the same boat, just got my AT&T that I want to use on T-Mobile. I'm debating if I should flash unlocked or T-Mobile, and now the option of this new bootloader?

Im just waiting for Rogers in Canada to push out their latest update, which they say is now available, and its not. I want to see if they have updated from U1 to U2 before taking the plunge with this firmware.
What's the benefit to having T-Mobile f/w over unlocked? Or what's better about having unlocked? I'll be using it only on T-Mobile.

Stock update Galaxy S8 SM-G950U ATT (Snapdragon version)

A friend brought me an S8-G950U Snapdragon version and I do not have the ability to get an att chip to update de firmware because I live in Argentina. I´m on G950USQUAQGL (August 1, 2017) and de software provider says ATT/ATT/ATT. Is there any way to update the firmware including Oreo?
I'm sorry but the more I read the more I get confused.

I don't see any ATT ROMs for the S8 SM-G950U listed in SamMobile. However, I do see ATT ROMs under SM-G950U1. But isn't the U1 the unlocked USA version of the S8?

Did you even find any ROMS for the S8 SM-G950U? I'm having the same issue with not seeing any AT&T options on SamMobile.
I'm facing same problem too. ATT does not release its stock firmwares quite often. However find below May,2018 patch wity Oreo. Waiting for such stock firmware for Pie.

Tested in my unlocked s8 G950U.
Sam Mobile seems to have disabled their free download option (possibly in maintenance). Anyone has a link the latest Pie stock with July 1 patch level (AT&T) and can share please?
I think the OP (and myself) looking for this one - https://www.att.com/devicehowto/tut...59?make=Samsung&model=SamsungG955U&gsi=x6lhdu

Samsung S10e not Receiving Updates (SM-G970U)

Hello guys,
I bought my brand-new Samsung S10e this year in early July and I havent received any update since the January 2020 security patch, which I assume was installed when the phone was manufactured. I was wondering if there's any issue with my firmware or anything. I have seen some recommendations for firmware flashing, I am a bit freaked out about it as I have never done it and I dont want to brick the phone. Additionally my phone is the US variant (Snapdragon) and New Zealand where I live has Exynos for the Default, further convincing me that the phone might have no compatible firmware for where I live to receive updates. I also read that it is not possible for Snapdragon to be rooted and so I was wondering if I could get comfirmation as to whether or not I could use custom ROMs. Any help, suggestions, or recommendations would be greatly appreciated, I am desperate for anything.
Phone model number: Galaxy S10e SM-G970U 128GB
Thanks in advance

Your best option is to download SamFirm 5.0 and download SM-G970U1 firmware XAA code. Youll get updates then. Search how to use SamFirm and tutorial how to flash with patched Odin.

Are you sure that I use the SM-G970U1 firmware and not the SM-G970U firmware, I just really don't want to screw it up, is there a link you could send so I'm not installing viruses? Thank you

You can not get the att firmware.
I suggest you download the SM-G970U1 firmware and install it. The only difference is it wond come with all of the bloatware that is on the att rom.
I use this on my personal SM-G970U so I can assure you it is safe as long as you know how to flash the firmware.
Here is a link that will help explain it: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s10e/how-to/g970u-g970u1-firmware-links-t3904628

How to update my Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra(SM-N980U) to android 13?

So as the title says I want to update my device to the latest Android 13 but when I try and check for software updates it says that my android software is up to date, while I saw a post that the update is available for my phone (not sure if it's available for the US variant though). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Oh and btw I don't have 5G while my phone supports 5G, please tell me if 5G will work after I update after the upgrade, thanks.
Just keep checking back. Or look up Odin and manually flash the firmware. Yes 5g still works
I have AT&T N986U model but it haven't received update after feb 2022
