sorry if i posted this the wrong place but nevertheless here is what i need help with.
i was looking for a stable 4.4.2 rom to flash on my at&t note 2 and i found this http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal.../rom-att-i317-ucucne5-mj4-stock-odex-t2802189
so i followed the instructions and flashed with odin and flashed the new bootloader since i was running lower than mj5
after flashing everything went well the rom was great until i wanted to take some photos from my laptop and send them to the phone.
the laptop recognizes a usb device but no prompt for folders or anything is being given, ive tried multiple usb cables and even multiple pcs to no avail.
so i tried reverting back to my old firmware 4.1.2 and the problem is still there
after digging around the computer in the device manager, the phone is being listed as SAMSUNG_ANDROID and is unknown followed by an error when i click properties which says:
This device is not configured correctly. (Code 1)
To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver.
so i tried updating the driver which failed and said an error occured data invalid
i really need some help on this because my phone isnt being picked up by odin or download mode
please help asap
Hi,
Please note the following sticky from the top of this section,
> General discussion > XDA Assist > The Purpose of XDA Assist [Please Read]
XDA Assist is here to help navigate the site, not for support. You've been shown your device section by Assist before, and have posted in it. That is where to post questions or issues about your device.
Thank you for understanding, thread closed.
Hi.
I have a galaxy mega 6.3 and it's got stuck in "firmware upgrade encountered an issue" screen.
when I connect it to computer in order to flash a rom with odin , computer doesn't recognize it. even it's not shown in device manager and it seems like phone is not connected. I have already installed drivers and I also have kies on my PC. I'm totally confused because I have been searching for a solution but I haven't found any answer.
Also My phone doesn't get into download mode.
Can someone help me?:crying:

You need to download the drivers for your device. It contains Fastboot and ADB for your device. Once it's installed, your computer should be able recognize the phone.

I have already installed the drivers.
I can't get into download mode. maybe that's the reason.
anything I do, it shows the screen " firmware encountered an issue"
no download mode and no samsung logo while turning the phone on.
Hi

I just recently rooted my Galaxy S4 using Odin and then installed TWRP 2.6.0.0, I then tried to install this custom ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2557353 which is a Android Lollipop 5.0 ROM, I wiped the device using TWRP, followed every step right but when I rebooted the phone it didnt work and now Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9505 appears when I turn it on only to disappear in a matter of seconds, I can get to download mode and after a couple of tries recovery mode too, my computer doesnt know the phone is there when I plug it in either.... what can I do?! Sorry if I'm not making much sense I'm not too good at things like this
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. It sounds like you should flash the stock firmware in Odin and start the process all over. Please ask any questions in this thread, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2192886 where the experts on your device can help.
The phone shows " Firmware upgrade issue encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again". I cant go to recovery mode ie. vol up+home+power. THings I have tried:
1. with Kies the device isnt recognised. I have updated the driver as well.
2. with odin every thing fails... flashing "all samsung recovery.tar", flashing stock jelly bean, flashing .pit file
I have googled for days and tried many things but isnt working. Need help

So I have a rooted Samsung Galaxy S5 from Sprint. Since I'm from Romania,I tried many ways to get rid of Sprint from my phone. Including rooting the phone. Don't know what went wrong tho, because now it's stuck in Odin Mode. It show that "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again". But none of the Samsung Kies version sees my phone, everything I try in odin fails, phone won't go in download or recovery mode. Please help
