WhatsApp web not working well on Honor 6+ - Honor 6, 6 Plus Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

WhatsApp should not need the phone screen to be on, in order to use it, like other phones I've tried. But the Honor 6+ does.
e.g. I'll try to send a message using the web interface. The message will sit there until I turn on the phone.
Maybe this is EMUI's overly aggressive power management, but I cannot find the right setting to allow WhatsApp to work OK when the screen is off.
Any ideas?

I second this. I often have to open Whatsapp on the phone before my PC connects. Also it forgets my contacts and even wont show new messages as push notification from time to time.
Is there a way to stop EMUI from closing my apps?

I've found a solution, to this and other problems I think.
Download PM Plus from the store, and make WhatsApp a trusted application.. from then on the web version will work just fine.

Help with Skype (I searched first)

Simply put, I cannot get Skype to work on my Touch Pro.
I can use it to chat, but the option to talk is there, but I cannot select it.
I found a few instances of this happening on Windows Mobile 6.1 around the web, but no consensus on how to fix it.
Can you elaborate a little as to why it does not work? What happens when you open? Have you tried the obviouse which is to uninstall and soft reset and re-install? Throw a little more up so we can help you. _SDL
I did try to uninstall and re-install complete with a soft reset, yes. I also tried this with both versions of Skype mobil offered on Skype.com.
Basically, when you launch the program, a list of your contacts are displayed.
I can click on a contact and bring up their detailed information.
However, I can only click to chat and cannot click to talk. The image below is taken from my home computer as I do not have the screen capture feature installed on my phone. Now on my phone the red phone icon would be grayed out and you are not ale to click on it to do a voice call. You are able to fully click on the chat icon, though.

I have the same problem, I think.
You can sign in OK, but all of the contacts appear off-line (even though I know they are not). If a contact is selected, the chat button is enabled, but the voice call button is disabled.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling - no effect.
I tried changing the options (Wifi on/off, etc). No effect.
Yes, exactly.
Sorry I cannot edit my post to fix the image, but I keep getting a server error.
Doh!!!
The answer was that I had my status set to "offline".
Set it to "Online" and it works OK (except that it uses the back speaker - that's the next thing I need to get sorted).

Weird Shield Tablet Message: "Invitation to connect from: AP_SSC_NX2000_0-52:48:13"
I got this message while watching some random videos on youtube. I kept hitting decline but it keeps popping up again. After turn off and on, the message is gone but it could appear again, i guess.
Not sure if related but my tablet is one of those affected by the Y01 battery which i've managed to keep. Does anyone have a clue about this? Picture attached

Probably someone else trying to connect to your device either by bluetooth or by wifi direct. Could be a neighbour or friend?
Or do you have a device that auto scans and tries to connect to passing devices?
Either way it's in your control to ignore and block it.
From the message, An NX2000 Camera you probably own is asking for a connection.
It could also be the NSA but that's not their favorite method...

How to stop (SIM) pop-up messages from keeping the screen on indefinitely?

Hello everyone,
In my country, carriers would send those annoying pop-up messages (I think they're called class-0 messages?). This has been the case for a couple of years and they won't stop no matter what you do. Anyway, it wasn't a big deal with my previous phones; I just learned to ignore them.
However, with my A30s (which I've had for a few months), I'm facing a critical issue where the screen will turn on for the message and never turn off unless I close the pop-up or manually turn it off by pressing the power button. There are basically two types of those messages:
1) Ones that show up after a call is ended (very annoying but avoidable if I remember to close the message after ending the call):
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
2) Ones that show up randomly (sometimes at night while I'm asleep. Screen stays on overnight and drains the battery):
I couldn't even tell which app is responsible for displaying those messages. I checked the permissions for the messages app and the phone app, disabled the "draw over other apps" permission for the messages app, installed Google's messages app and set it as default (since I can't uninstall or disable the main one) but the problem persisted. I also checked the permissions for the "SIM toolkit" app but there were none. I tried disabling the notifications but the option was grayed out.
Does anyone know how to get rid of these messages?
Note: I want to avoid rooting the device or installing a custom rom.

Hi bigoliver i found that option but nothing to configure just on/off
It is installed but no options to use it
Search the settings several times
Can't find
I don't use the feature myself, so assumed it was a simple on/off setting.
Hopefully someone with more experience is able to help.
This option is for some reason hidden but we have it on our phone. I access it with Bluetooth in my car. When I first time connected my phone and car, I got notification about smart unlock and when I press on that notification I got setting for smart unlock and then choose gps. That's only way I could activate that, and I can tell you that unlocking doesn't working 90% of the time, both Bluetooth and GPS. I had similar problem with s8 plus, but not that much.
