[Completed] Kindle Fire 6' (Gen6) - Question about lucky patcher - XDA Assist

So I wanted to know if there are any similar apps like lucky patcher for a kindle... I tried to use lucky patcher on a game from amazon Appstore just to see if it worked which it doesn't because every time you load the game it says Error from amazon Appstore and closes it out but before the game closes I can clearly see it modded successfully it just the game won't stay open because of that error but back to the point are there any similar apps like that
if not could I root my kindle with kingroot or will I have to get the fire 5OS preview and downgrade my kindle from there using adb? After that my kindle rooted all I would have to do is download google play services and the google play store and lucky patcher should work right?
Some insight would be most appreciated.
PS. My kindle automatically updated itself with version 4.5.5 at 11:46AM EST. ( If that concerns one of you.)

Hello,
Lucky patcher is considered warez and is not to be discussed on XDA.
Thread closed.
Thanks,
Sloth

Amazon FireTV apps - Ripped for your pleasure

I've extracted the following apps from the Amazon FireTV for anyone who wants to tinker around and try porting them to other devices.
Bloomberg TV
Crackle
Hulu Plus
iHeartRadio
Netflix
Pandora
Showtime Anytime
TuneIn Radio
Vevo
Vimeo
ESPN
All the interfaces are pretty good, so we really get these working with other Android boxes (especially Netflix).
Get the whole 140MB pack here.
Thanks for the apps! thought I would try so I could make Netflix more remote friendly. First they failed due to no amazon app store, then fails because the app store says i don't own the app and I can't download the Fire TV netflix from there. I wish I could just spoof the check or disable it.

Click to expand...
Click to collapse
This. I'm sure it can be done. All dl'ed Amazon Apps associate with the app store...it's just a matter of decompiling the .apks and removing or altering some lines I assume. (Which lines? IDK...here I come google.)
EDIT: Last night I tried to change a couple setting in the build.prop to spoof as a Fire TV, no joy. The Amazon App store wouldn't even open. (Unfortunately, AppStore has closed) Also, it should be noted that this is on the latest nightly CM11 build.
Fire TV was shipped with the purchasers info already entered into the box. (Purchaser info in APpStore) My concern is that there is a tertiary check...like a serial number check in the build.prop, idk... I think that simply removing the checks from the .apks will do the trick...hopefully.
Mod edit: Please do not discuss Lucky Patcher or apps that rhyme with it
Can you tell me how to modify the build.prop? I want to try modifying it to try and fake GPS and location services by doing the following:
gps.enable=true
&
hw.nolocation=false
link
Hey DaveTo - I think we're after the same thing, location services on the fire tv. I sent you a message on reddit the other day about modifying the settings.db file, but that didn't work. Here's how to edit the build.prop. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1948558 Let me know if you get it working!
This is funny. I was just replying to your reddit message on how you should try what I'm asking above. Not sure this technique will help, I think its more suited for getting past Google Store restrictions, but give it a go if you want to try. I end up spending more time trying to figure this out than actually watching hockey games. Plus, it is truly frustrating that others with FireTVs have gotten this to work and you and I can't. I would love to get to the bottom of this, but I can't even get the checkboxes to enable.
Were you planning on adding these two lines into the build prop file? They don't appears anywhere in the file so I'm asking.
gps.enable=true
&
hw.nolocation=false

[Tip] put Amazon Appstore in /system to install apps silently no extra Install click

A tip for those of you who don't own a Kindle device and use Amazon Appstore:
You know that you always get the Android install screen after clicking Install from the Appstore itself, this is because Amazon Appstore is considered as a Sideloader of APKs on the android system.
A way to fix this is to move the Amazon Appstore apk in the "/system/app" (or "/system/priv-app" if using kitkat).
In this way Android will considered Amazon Appstore as an authorized system app with install permission, and will allow it to install and update APKs without showing the Android install screen. You can also uncheck the "Unknwon sources" setting to keep your device secure from dangerous apps while still being able to use Amazon Appstore.
I have been using it like this since sometime and it works great.
If you like my tip, leave me a thank you :good:
Enjoy a quicker Amazon Appstore experience...

In-App Purchase Problems

Hey everyone
Wondering if anyone can help me.
LG G3 D855
Recently rooted (Lollipop)
*NB: I have NOT downloaded a cracked Play Store
Whenever I attempt to access In-App Purchases, something goes wrong.
Different games say different things:
Radiant Defense: Service unavailable (and then) Purchase failed
Bitcoin Billionaire: NA
Clash of Clans: Purchases unavailable! Google Play Store app needs to be updated.
My Play Store is up to date. I checked.
Could anyone give me a hand?
Thanks
Jordzy2j
Do you have apps such as Freedom / Lucky patcher? If yes UNINSTALL them and reboot your device.
If that doesn't work find gapps.zip for your phone model and install them.
I have the same issue. Rooted GS4, have latest Play store installed. I did have lucky patcher so i uninstalled, and rebooted. Still can't do in-app purchases with clash of clans. I used to be able to, on same rooted phone, last time was Oct 2015. Not sure what changed to disable it.

Just got a 1st gen Kindle fire 6.3.4 & need help in downloading google play store
I'm Jonathan,hi everyone. I just bought an old 1st gen. Kindle fire tablet today and I realized it doesn't have google play store installed and is quite frustrating since I've never had a tablet before. From what I know,it's on factory reset, version 6.3.4, I already enabled permission to install apps from unknown sources. I believe I need help rooting this Kindle fire. I would appreciate the help and patience in helping me. I'll be waiting around for a reply and seeing what else I can do with my kindle fire. I haven't downloaded anything on it. I really wanna use the kindle fire to be able to play the android games from my other phone and it's through the google play store. I'd really appreciate the help.

[Q]Spoofing device on Amazon App store?

Hi Has anyone been successful in finding a way to spoof devices on the Amazon app store? I had a ton of apps that up until a few weeks ago were Compatible with my current device (ASUS ROG PHONE 3) and now it seems apps one by one that were compatible are being changed to incompatible and can't be re/downloaded due to this.. so my two options if they exist is to spoof the device or download the apk off Amazon app store server somehow. Any one know anything about of the possibility of any of this?
Bump

[Extension] APK Downloader for Amazon Appstore
Hi there, I'm redphx, author of the original APK Downloader for Google Play. Last year I asked if you guys want a similiar extension but for Amazon Appstore, and seemed like some of you may use it, so I decided to take some time to make it...
