Just got a 1st gen Kindle fire 6.3.4 & need help in downloading google play store
I'm Jonathan,hi everyone. I just bought an old 1st gen. Kindle fire tablet today and I realized it doesn't have google play store installed and is quite frustrating since I've never had a tablet before. From what I know,it's on factory reset, version 6.3.4, I already enabled permission to install apps from unknown sources. I believe I need help rooting this Kindle fire. I would appreciate the help and patience in helping me. I'll be waiting around for a reply and seeing what else I can do with my kindle fire. I haven't downloaded anything on it. I really wanna use the kindle fire to be able to play the android games from my other phone and it's through the google play store. I'd really appreciate the help.

[Q] Kindle Fire Utility - Help/ can't access from PC

I'm not sure if anyone had this situation, but I've been trying to install Android and got stuck.
I was able to install TWRP through Kindle Fire Utility v.0.9.
I Wiped the system so that I can install Android "tryforsdcard"
But I noticed that I unzipped it prior to moving it over to Kindle.
I don't have update.zip in the SD card to go back to factory setting.
On Kindle Fire Utility, it says
ADB Status: ONLINE
ADB Rooted: YES
Boot Status: 5001
I can't go back to Bootmode Normal, it'll just stop.
I know if I can go into Kindle and load update.zip/tryforsdcard then I can install either of the OS, but can't get in from PC. on Device settings it is recognizing as Android ADB Interface, and on my Comp it shows Removable Disk(D, where I used to be able to have access, in transparent gray...
I appreciate your help!!
Since this topic is about the Kindle Fire, does anyone know if it can access the Android market or is it limited to Amazon's Android App Store?
I considered making a Kindle Fire purchase for playing my Android games on. But there are some that were bought through the Android market. If the Kindle Fire doesn't access the Android market, I wouldn't be able to use my Android market apps and games on it.
If it doesn't I'll look into an iPad or Android tablet. I have a majority of the same games from Android on iOS. Getting an iPad would allow me to play the games I usually play on Android. Getting an Android tablet would also let me play all of them that I have between the Amazon App store and Android market.

I think if you root it, you can. Once rooted, you install the market.apk on it.

Reader's Digest (Kindle Tablet Edition) App?

I need help with something from my Kindle Fire owning friends. My mom owns a Kindle Fire and I installed Cyanogenmod on she could get more apps and use an interface she was used to (my brother had a Nexus 7). Anyways she wants the Reader's Digest app from the Amazon App store but it refuses to install because it says it's not compatible because she no longer has the original Kindle Software on her device. Now I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to upload the Reader's Digest Kindle Edition app and give me a link to it. It would be amazing if one of you guys could do that for me thanks!

[Q] Problems with apps on dual boot Nook hd

I'm new to Android in general and CM in particular and I'm hoping you can help me with a problem:
I have a Nook HD on which I installed CM10.1 as a SD Card hybrid. I wanted to install the free Kindle app, but when I went on the Play store, it said that Kindle has already been installed on the device. I DID install Kindle on the Nook partition, but I uninstalled it and reset the nook. So I can't install the app and it's definitely NOT installed. I wonder if any of you experts have come across this problem before. If so, I would really appreciate the help. Thanks.
So I called Google supports today and basically they told me to talk to the manufacturer (BN). No help there.
Do you guys know if there's a Google Play app for CM10.1?

[Completed] Kindle Fire 6' (Gen6) - Question about lucky patcher

So I wanted to know if there are any similar apps like lucky patcher for a kindle... I tried to use lucky patcher on a game from amazon Appstore just to see if it worked which it doesn't because every time you load the game it says Error from amazon Appstore and closes it out but before the game closes I can clearly see it modded successfully it just the game won't stay open because of that error but back to the point are there any similar apps like that
if not could I root my kindle with kingroot or will I have to get the fire 5OS preview and downgrade my kindle from there using adb? After that my kindle rooted all I would have to do is download google play services and the google play store and lucky patcher should work right?
Some insight would be most appreciated.
PS. My kindle automatically updated itself with version 4.5.5 at 11:46AM EST. ( If that concerns one of you.)
Hello,
Lucky patcher is considered warez and is not to be discussed on XDA.
Thread closed.
Thanks,

[Resolved] Rooted Kindle Fire Version 10.5.1 - Google Play Crashes When Downloading any App

Ok, so I have a Gen 2 rooted Kindle Fire. I have the Google Play Store installed and working fine.
I have my Google account signed in, and everything seems to be working fine. But as soon as I download an app or whatnot it crashes immediately, saying "Google Play Store has stopped"
I am running the newest version (7.1.16) and I'm pretty sure it has all the necessary permissions.
I don't know what is wrong here but any insight on what is happening or how to fix it is greatly appreciated.:good:
