[Completed] How to reinstall Google download manager on rooted MOTO G X1032? - XDA Assist

I'm on Android 5.0.2, rooted through Clockworkmod. I have Titanium Backup synced to my Dropbox and a Nandroid image.
I deleted the default download manager (stupidly on my Titanium Backup as well) to free up space, necessary despite having 100's of megs to spare - i think this will fix that.
I've done a factory reset, but no luck. All my apps are wiped, including Titanium Backup and Nandroid (which i don't know how to restore to anyway).
Download Manager isn't visible in APKmirror's bundle of google APK's. Is it packaged with something else?
Will i be able to run the APK when i do find it?

[Completed] Help! Just deleted too much with Titanium (Contact Storage)

Hi guys, i'm going crazy with my Huawei y300-0100, after rooting. Running on android 4.1.1.
I deleted too much, as a stupid. Now the problem is i can't save any number in the "contacts" (no preloaded app version, can't find it anymore. I installed from play store two other apps, but can't save any number. One app,"contacts+" says "no app found to manage this action", while i'm trying to save a number..). The problem seems to be related to contact storage.
So, even if i'm a newbe (cause no backup done), i played with root explorer in system/app. Now find out i would need "contacs.apk", "contacts provider (this is storage, right?)", "phone apk", i don't know what else.
Hoping that with these file, i could install the storage from there. Or i don't know what to do.
Thanks a lot. Please help.

[Completed] [Q] Samsung Galaxy S2 i9100, Restoring to factory settings or GB stock firmware

Hi there,
I currently have AOSP Neat Rom Android version 4.4.4 on the i9100 device. I am considering the option to restore my nandroid backup of Android version 2.3.3 made in ClockWorkMod Recovery v4.0.0.2. However, I cannot find the firmware that matches the CSC I9100OZSKF4 here:
I also tried looking on samfirmware.com/samsung-updates.com/androidfirmwares.net/sammobile.com but I cannot find a match. Some links are invalid now on the xda thread including the one for ZSKF4.
This is what *#1234# showed before I flashed the custom rom:
PDA: I9100ZSKF4
PHONE: I9100XXKE4
CSC: I9100OZSKF4
I want to go back to exactly this firmware with my nandroid backup of all apps/data/logs. All back ups are saved on computer and can be transferred into the phone via selecting MTP.
I thought of these options but I am not sure which is best or correct in my situation:
(1) If there is a restore to factory settings option in the recovery or settings, do I use it? Then re-root the device in android 2.3.3 and restore backup using clockworkmod included with the root files?
(2) Or if restoring to the original stock rom (factory settings) is not an option, do I find the closest GB firmware to what I want and flash it using Odin?
I also looked here for help but only JB/ICS is mentioned:
(3) I have Team Win Recovery Project v2.7.1.0 currently for AOSP Neat Rom. Because my backup file is made in ClockWorkMod Recovery v4.0.0.2, I have to flash CWM before I can restore. I am not sure if I can even use the newest CWM to restore an old CWM backup. I am not sure if this is the best way and am very troubled.
I posted some questions already in this thread "[Q&A][SGS2][Newbies][Experienced Users][RCs] New members friendly Q&A thread". I was thinking this might be a more general question about restoring to stock rom and thought I can also ask here as well to get some insights on where to research next or at least get a confirmation that my thought process is on the right track.
Thank you so much for your time. I have been quite frantic due to the issues I encountered, so please forgive my constant posts.

[Completed] Ultimate Backup Lite Restore Problem

Hi there,
I am quite new to Android (on OPO) however I think there is something wrong, I've made a backup of my calls/sms/contacts using ultimate backup lite, I have the files on my computer now named : contacts_export.xml / calllogs_export.xml etc
With my fresh new rom I have installed Ultimate Backup lite again but it doesn't see those files as Backups and won't propose to restore them and I am stuck with an empty phone.
If anyone has any idea of how I could restore them as they are in xml I'd be gratefull.
Thanks
Hi there,
Please review this dedicated thread of app and ask there if you have more querry.

[Completed] How To Properly Backup My Android Device?

How to properly backup my android device?
Since I just got stuck with a broken nightly on cyanogenmod I wanted to ask for a solid way to backup the system, apps and all settings of my device (which is a HTC one S ville).
I thought about backing up my cyanogenmod system with TWRP and everything else with Titanium backup.
What do you guys think about it?
Data is secondary since I use dropbox, firefox sync and so on for my data which means, my data is stored.
thanks for your help

Hello and thank you for using XDA Assist.
Since you forgot to mention which device you have, we can't point you towards any specific support area, but in general the best way to make a full complete backup is from a custom recovery such as TWRP. Titanium Backup is indeed a dependable way of backing system and user apps with their data. If you need more information, you may want to ask your question with all relevant details in the friendly general Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum at http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help where other members will be able to reply and assist you.
Good luck!

I have added the relevant information: HTC One S (ville)
The full complete backup from TWRP does not include Apps does it? Furthermore how could it backup if more than half of the internal storage is in use?

Hello again.
We cannot provide technical support nor can other members reply to your posts here on XDA Assist, but there is an XDA area dedicated to the HTC One S at http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-s and specifically a Q&A forum there at http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-s/help. A full nandroid backup from TWRP includes all the partitions you select, including all system and user apps not stored on an SD card or other external location. The backups can reside in most any location you choose that TWRP can reach, including external SD card, OTG drives, etc. For more details, ask in your device's support area.
Once again, good luck!

[Completed] Restoring a Game Save from an older TWRP Backup

Hey all,
I recently moved over my Note 4 from 4.4.4 to a custom 5.1.1 ROM today. During the process I made sure to backup everything in both TWRP and Reware's My Backup Pro. Unfortunately since the move, I have been unable to resurrect a save game from Tiki Taka Soccer.
After getting the new ROM installed, I restored the Tiki Taka Soccer APK and Data through My Backup Pro, however, when loading the game it doesn't show my save game. With this in mind I can only assume the save game was stored in a location out of My Backup Pro's reach (despite being rooted on 4.4.4).
Knowing this, is there any way I can locate the save file from my TWRP backup at all? I've ploughed hours into the game and am desperate to restore what I had!
Any help will be greatly appreciated,
Adam
I read the rules and didn't see anything about bumping threads. So I hope it's okay replying to this - still looking for help

Hi,
Try posting your question here:
Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
The experts there may be able to help.
Also:
I never used My Backup Pro but I know that you can extract apk/data from a nandroid backup with Titanium Backup Pro.
If that doesn't help you, you could try asking for help here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2259645
Good luck!
