Snapchat not working corectly - Onetouch Idol 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, am I the only one having constant issues with snapchat on my Idol 3? App crashes randomly, app crashes when I try to apply filters..it's very hard to use.
Does anybody please have a solution?

same issue here

Software issue
Yeah, I have the same problem, I created a thread previously here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/idol-3/help/snapchat-twitch-app-issues-t3144511 Seems like a software/firmware issue that Alcatel needs to address, as the phone does have performance issues with lagging, slowness, etc. Other phones that are lower in specs. can handle snapchat without issues, so this phone's hardware can handle it, but the software updates is what's killing this phone. I hope the 5.1 update fixes it. Someone replied in my thread above, saying that the filters in snapchat work fine with video, and that's true when I tested it. I like this phone, but the only issue is its performance!!! Time to send Alcatel more e-mails!

Also problem with Vodafone Smart Ultra (ZTE). Crashes when choosing filters.

[Q] Camera focus issue

I've just received my new LG yesterday and I noticed the camera focus not working probably, i thought the 20f update would fix it, but it didn't, I've searched online for the most common ways to fix this issue and non worked, the focus issue is also in all the camera apps that i installed.
Sadly I don't live in the US , so does anyone know a fix that doesn't require hardware fixing?

App by the name 'imonitor' got installed and now my WiFi keeps crashing.

Anyone else started to face problems when suddenly an app by the name 'imonitor' got installed on their Honor 6X and it keeps crashing preventing the WiFi from working.
I did some research and turns out that it is a spyware and I can't delete it because I am unrooted and my it is a system app.
How can I fix this?

i think imonitor is a system app which is preinstalled in the phone...I also have that app and is running in background almost all the times....I am not facing the issue !
Sent from my BLN-L22 using XDA Labs
I have that app too, it's part of the software, and it doesn't causes any issue to me. Wi-Fi usage is independent from imonitor service running.
I did some research too some time ago, and i found this investigation taken from a Twitter user here https://twitter.com/fs0c131y/status/960632764973441024 where the question about what it really does it's still unknown. Some thinks it's a spyware app, while Huawei claims that it's part of the anti-virus software present in Phone Service app.
It's possible to froze the app, anyway. But root is needed.

Hi.
I've got the same problem, since 10th May too, on my honor 6.x
imonitor process doesn't response, which causes very serious slowdowns of the interface and the others applications. The mobile network is not reachable, and some incoming phone calls were missed.
Temporarely I had to reboot to get mobile functions on, but problem is not solved...
And I confirm the symptoms described by Veeruroxx : wifi connexion became off.
I get the message "imonitor application doesn't response. Waiting or close the app".
When you select "wait", the message "imonitor application ..." comes again later, and when you select "close the app", no message comes later, but when you go the process running in parameters of the smartphone (developper options activated), you can see imonitor application is still running.
Another clue, maybe, i've got the city race 3d game installed on my phone, and i can no longer run it. I uninstall et install again the application, but nothing has changed. can't run again.
Perhaps it's not imonitor application which is the source of the problem, but the problem seems to appear by that application.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Already tried by writing to Huawei explaining the issue?

I wrote on Club Honor but I didn't get a reply. Is there a place where I can contact the customer support as I am unable to find.
UPDATE:
I received an OTA Update (BLN-L22C675B363) and I haven't faced the issue since then. The changelog did mention about updates regarding security patches and I am assuming that the 'imonitor' app is sending error logs to some Huawei servers and there was a communication error that caused the WiFi to stay busy. However, that seems to be patched now.
Did anyone else get this update and can they report whether their issue has been fixed?

Snapchat Crashes

My Snapchat app crashes I don't know why. I've hid it from magisk and not installed Xposed. Running on stock rom. Anyone facing this issue? Any fix?
I think almost everyone with a Anderiod device has this promblem, due to some kind of update, mine is not working either so my friend will have to hold my streaks. I hope snapchat fix this problem soon...
It's a mistake from Snapchat servers.
I reinstalled and that fixed it.

No problem with Netflix on my phone.
Delete data and cache and try again.
I'm facing the same issue. Haven't found what's causing it or any workaround to avoid restarting the phone. Deleting data & cache haven't helped. Even reinstalled the app.
I have the same issue not only with Netflix but also with Disney Plus. I think something is messed up with how the phone manages DRM.
I have the exact same issue, and it concerns Netflix, Disney+ and HBO.
same problem here also with p.v and d+, only restart fix the problem temporarily, i noticed also that the cromecast works , so its a minor problem for me because rarely i watch netflix on phone, i hope sony fix this with the next update, its absurde that the app come preinstalled in the phone and works bad ?
Just found the same issue on the first week I was using this phone on early October. I told with the Sony CS and reported this bug to them but they didn't think it's a bug as they told me not so many users reported to them. They won't try to fix this problem....
I had this with the old firmware, with the security patches of August. With the latest firmware, patches of November, I don't have it.
Same annoying problem here with Netflix and Prime Video, even after the firmware update including December patch.
Same problem here. I wasn't even aware of it until reading this thread as I always use a Chromecast.
Same problem here. First time Netflix after restart no problems. After having used the phone for a while and going back to Netflix, videos refuse to start. Red circle keeps spinning, eventually resulting in Netflix error 5.7.
Only a phone restart will fix this. Very annoying.
Any solutions?
I'm having this issue with Netflix as well. Just got the phone, it's on the latest software version. I haven't tried Prime video yet. Not a huge deal, since I only watch videos on my phone when I travel, and well...yeah, that won't be happening for a while. Agree it needs to be fixed.
Dear all - so I am not alone with this problem. (I didn't receive any updates on that threat). Especially, as it is a preinstalled app, Sony should get this work. How can we contact them?

It really is pretty poor having a pre instilled app not working properly.
It looks like I no longer have the issue with Prime, only with Netflix. So it could be an issue with the app itself. Has anyone tried to contact Netlfix support?
For me this is solved since my Xperia 5ii was updated to Android 11.
For me, too, with the update, it is gone!
