Moto G stuck on "Activating" with a loading circle - Moto G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I recently, tried to update my Moto G XT1031 Republic Wireless from android 4.4.4 to android 5.1.
Unfortunately, I used this video "How to Install OFFICIAL Android 5.1 Lollipop GPe on Moto G [XT1033 & XT1032]
" from Youtube (Sorry I can't put a link, cause I am new here, it's my first post), which is only for XT1033 & XT1032.
And so now when I load my phone up, it is stuck on activating screen with a loading circle.
From the video I only flashed Android 5.x to 4.4.4 GPE.bat file into my Moto G XT1031.
Is there away I can go back to the original firmware the phone came with, that way I use it once again.
PLEASE HELP!!

try doing offline update instead
OTA's
I have a Boost Moto G that has the Verizon Firmware on it & I had no ISSUEs letting it OTA as it normally would everything works fine.
I get this may be a bit old but others may be looking for the answer as well
OTA's will not work with custom recoveries (and maybe even anything non-stock).
Here is a flashable zip for 4.4.4 for Verizon's Moto G.

A line distorts the screen of my Moto G

Hi all, is it updated my Moto G Android Lollipop following the tutorial to pass the Moto G to Google Play Edition, and then wanted to go back to the original version 4.4.4 of my phone so doing I notice that after the message bootloader a line that distorts the image starting from the top to the bottom, the only way to solution I've found is blocking the phone and unlocking it, but still the problem persists appears.
Thank you very much for your attention and I hope to help.
maybe a bootloader problem...
I have the same exact error except i have the xt1032 non gpe variant. did the same thing as u did, flashed gpe 5.0.1 update and the problem first occurred when flashing twrp in 5.0.1, i tried a couple of versions of twrp but the problem kept happening, what makes me believe its a boot loader problem is that the version of the bootloader changed from 41.13 to 41.18 after the update. maybe they updated the bootloader with the 5.0.1 package, if we could flash the stock bootloader maybe that will help

if you flash from 5.0 Brazil to 4.4.4 GPE you will get that annoying line, to get rid of it just update to 5.0.1 from the phone and all will fixed.

[Q] My moto g 2013 can't update and is not rooted

I have bought this Moto G today, and was willing to update it to the last android update. Anyway, whenever I try the "update software" option, it says it's already updated, while it's currently running android 4.4.4 After some reading I found that I needed the Motorola Update App, but when I try to update the app (cause it's already installed), it says that the device is incompatible.
Then I read that if the device has been rooted, it won't update, so installed the Root Checker app, and it said that my Moto G has not been rooted, and this is where I don't know what else to do.
The mobile is an Moto G XT-1040, originally from Movistar Argentina, but I bought it here, in other country. Maybe that's the reason why I can't update it? Any help will be appreciatted, thank you very much for reading.
PD.- I have installed Motorola Device Manager and ran it, it says that there is no update for teh device, and the actual version is 21.31.1.peregrine_tefla.tefla.en.01, don't know if it helps somehow.
Because the last update for moto g is android kitkat 4.4.4 ..lollipop is not rolled out yet

XT1039 cannot get 5.1 OTA if I am root (but still on Stock 4.4.4)?

I own a XT1039 (moto g 4g 1st gen) and currently have unlocked bootloader and rooted.
Yet, I am on stock rom 4.4.4 and 21.11.56.peregrine_retgb.retgball.en.GB
I just contacted motorola on chat and they informed me that:
1) there is only OTA for updating to 5.1 (no way to download or load by pc Motorola Device Manager)
2) cannot guarantee that I will get a notification for the update because I m root.
I see here,
that my device should already have the update
Any help, please?..
PS. I do apologize if there is duplicate for my post, I could not locate an answer...
anyone??
you must download the Motorola Updater from Google PlayStore..and you'll available to upgrade your device

CM13 for moto G on page plus?

I have a Boost Moto G, flashed to run on Page Plus. It runs stock rooted 4.4.4. I no longer use it as a phone and I would like to use it strictly as a wifi device. Is it possible to flash CM13 on it, and if so, how? (right now it has XWM recovery 6.0.4.7)
THANKS!
