First time poster here. I built the kernel 2.26.* (instructions found at source.android.com) and it worked great with the emulator. Now I would like to test it on nexus 7, however, I only have the zImage file.. worried about using fastboot flash boot pathTozImage. Must I use the lunch command?

hello, i think i have the most wiered issue in the world!
* FIRST:
I have tried to install this theme Flat IOS
the application wasn't installed
*Then,
purchased the donate version from play store, i have got the error " unknown error code during application install -401"!! so i have refunded.
*after that
i have removed my sd card - i couldn't unmount because of the "Link2sd"
*THEN i have installed the theme from the playstore, was installed!
applied
*purchased another theme flats theme
*rebooted
inserted my sd card
the themes are not there!!! couldn't install again!

So, I working on some firmware and I trying to stop some sh*it which is executing after device boot.
I extracted firmware and everything and now I find out that inside bin folder is script related to a problem - script which updates modem - because that's newer fw for two HW identicaly devices, except that one have modem - so I want to install to one which don't have modem because one with modem is much better updated.
So now I wondering how is that script executed in bin folder, how I can stop that so I can repack firmware and flash it and woth hope that problem will not occur again?

I know that nobody likes this tablet, but the solution I seek is directly related to standard Android firmware.

Hi all.
First of all, I'm new of android developing, so please be patient with me
I've found this wonderful rom (Screw'd ROM) and I want to port it to the deivce I own, the Huawei Ascend G510.
But during build process, I had two error:
Code:
invalid conversion from 'ion_user_handle_t {aka int}' to 'ion_handle*
struct ion_allocation_data' has no member named heap_mask
If you want it I can provide the full output of the terminal.
I think that it's something with the device file.
I took the device files from another lollipop rom, here is the name of the Github account: SlimLPY300 (Slim-LP, the development is stopped)
Also we have Cyanogenmod12: CyanogenModY300
For what I know, we manage three huawei device: u8833 (y300), u951 (g510) and u8825 (g330) and the common things of these three device are in the "common blabla" project. Y300 and G510 are pratucally equal, and in fact in some roms there is only one download for this two devices.
I've alredy googled this errors, and I've found some thread BUT none of them solved the issue.
Does anyone can help me?

It happened to me too
Don't worry there's a solution. You might have used mi4i toolkit v3 for rooting.
But when I tried the updated toolkit that is V4 from MIUI forums.

Exchange email encryption fails
Guys, first the rom fees great for a WIP! Seems everything works as expected for me but can't find a way to add my exchange account to the email app, I tried even to encrypt the device and see if it would work but nothing, also downloaded a zip file another device forum to bypass exchange security. Nothing works, any help? Thanks guys! Julien

exchange support is quite incomplete in cm 12.1
that should get rectified in near future by cm team itself

I am trying to flash the cm12 build using TWRP however I am getting an error message - "error executing updater binary in zip" This package is for device: ferrari; this device is TCL_M3G
However this a Mi4i. What could be the problem? Has the device name changed over updates?
Please help.

Check my post above.. About toolkit v4
Tried that and failed
So here is the deal. i did see that post and tried to flash twrp which is in v4.
It shows successful and reboots but i still get in to the normal MI recovery. Dont know whats going wrong here.
Finally proud to say I'm a 4i owner. It runs way smoother than MIUI. Sweet. ^^ Thanks for all the hard work.
Can i flash it.........
is it fully working..???? sensors are working or not...???? please help...................
