I would recommend posting in the appropriate thread where people knowledgable about your device might be able to help you.
Why you buy a china phone? there are some posts that says those phones are bad (the most, not all) even my cousin buy a chinese phone that says 12MPx on the camera! and the software an hardware only has 2mpx resolution... It's mater of licky to us to purchase a china phone with all that offers... sorry... better try to sell it.
I guess he realised what China is . LOL NO country racism intended

Within a month i can choose a new phone. Any tips? Now have galaxy s1. What will it be? Samsung sony htc????
Grtz from Holland
Depends on a lot of factors. Which carrier are you on (unless you're planning to switch, in which case, which carrier will you be on)? Do you want a keyboard or is touchscreen enough?
After that, you need to consider the size, processor, display, and likelihood of upgrades if that is important to you.
You'd probably do well to go into the store and test drive a few phones for a little while and see what you like.

One thing to consider is what phones will be coming out on your carrier over the next few months. It may be worth it to wait to use your upgrade.
The carrier you're on is definitely one of the most important factors. I remember when people broke contracts for hundreds of dollars just to get their hands on the first iPhone...
it really depends on what you want it to do. Do you want raw power, customizability, developer support? For raw power i'd wait to see if the rumored htc zeta will show up, doubtful about the specs though:
http://www.engadget.com/2011/11/15/htc-zeta-rendered-rumored-to-pack-2-5ghz-quad-core-cpu-and-ice/
For customizability and developer support i'd look for something that everyone would have like the galaxy nexus
With the Galaxy Note the time has come to stop thinking mobile phone and start thinking mobile tablet. The Note is the mobile tablet you can carry everywhere like a mobile phone yet use like a tablet. The large screen is able to use Desktop view for Web browsing rather than mobile phone view and it is the perfect size for a Satnav. Reading eBooks on the Note screen is a breeze too with no need to zoom to read the text and you get a lot of text on each screen page. Once you have a Note you will find there is no need for a larger tablet because of the high resolution screen which is as good as most laptops.
i Recommend samsung
my advice or galaxy 2 or new model note nice phone
Samsung Galaxy Nexus...
I spent a lot on it, but i'm not disapointed so far!
It's great!
But, i can't compare with ohter android phones at all, since my previous one was a windows mobile 6.5 one xD
Hehehe..
But the GN.. is hot... and beauty!!
I would say Galaxy S2 or Galaxy Nexus.....both are awesome phones
.
Thread moved to Q&A due to it being a question. Would advise you to read forum rules and post in correct section.

HTC - nice design,
Samsung - advanced hardware.
My vote: Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Good choices. Galaxy s2 is a great phone.
samsung galaxy s 2 gt9100 perfect phone...i am using that phone and i can only change it for galaxy s3
samung galaxy S2 rullz
in a month SGS3 might be available. It will be top notch and highly supported=faster updates.
The Galaxy Nexus would be a great choice since it has ICS and doesn't include a lot of Samsungs bloatware.
But again it depends on your choice for carrier.

Sorry but the S3 is the best phone on the market at the time, and best place to purchase is on Amazon o eBay
There are zillion threads like this and always everybody jump to suggest Samsung Galaxy S3.
But actually I wouldn't buy it. The battery lasts ways less than S2. The S3 screen is bigger and for some people is nice to me makes the phone bulky and heavy.
I'd get an S2. It's cheaper, the CPU is 1.2 vs 1.5 from S3, battery lasts WAY MORE even though it has less mAh!! (which is the MOST important feature of a phone) and 1 GB RAM "ought to be enough for everybody".
A powerful phone means less battery and that means more frustration in the street with a phone that ran out of charge.

I think you can also install Jelly Bean on S3 several months later when an official ROM is produced. But HTC One X is also a good choice.

+1 on the SGS3:laugh:
I also would go with the SGS3. The size isn't that much different from the SGS2 and all the reviews i've read said the battery life is good.

Hope you can update us further on your day to day usage with regards to camera quality if there are any issues, also is the screen experiencing black clippings when playing movies with a lot of dark shots like Harry Potter, etc... :good:

How's responsiveness?
Preparing to replace my Note with either this or the Z1.
Just wondering:
1.) How is lag and hangs on the Note3? Did any show up while you are using it? Preferably while you are doing the benchmark or under heavy load.
2.) How about accuracy of the screen? The note is off by a few pixels how about this? I think this was well documented problem on the note, I'll describe it if you are not familiar with it.
3.) Touch responsiveness? The note is slow on the lockscreen when you have pin lock. Try something like 160425 as your pin (no that is not my pin, I just randomly chose a 6 digit that can take advantage of both thumbs so you can press them very fast one after the other with preferably 1-2ms lag between each press), then press them 1 after the other very fast preferably on 2handed use. A lot of the times 1 of them won't register or will register wrong for the Note1. How about the Note3?
I'm a bit of a power user and the lag on the Note is annoying and is still laggy even after being rooted and flashed with slim bean. Just wanted to hear your take on the note3. As this might be the tie breaker for me.
I'm very disappointed with the Note (I wanted to throw it away after 6months of use but is under a 2yrs contract so... yeah) Mostly with TW and the screen, I even have ghost presses on the screen (luckily it was replaced while in warranty). So kinda want to stay away from sammy this round but between the Note3 and the Z1, the Note3 has the advantage of 3gb ram and 32gb storage (I'm on smart and I'm sure they will only have this version) on the hardware side and sammy usually have the bootloader unlocked, I expect this one to be the same while the Z1 will have it locked and I will lose a lot of the built-in features for unlocking it. But the lag on my Note is a big downer for getting another sammy that I'm willing to fore go the advantage of sammy for sony.
Thanks =)

Most probably your correct on the estimated launch price as Samsung will be selling the 32gb variant unlike before where they launch the 16gb for note2. Personally, I really prefer the 32gb and I'm very happy that Samsung decided to scrap the 16gb variant for note 3. Please update us on any new details with regards to launch date, venue and most especially the reservation of units.. Thanks and more power to you! :fingers-crossed:

1. with the new proc i found it snappier than the stock tw from the s4 variant. i dont usually benchmark tests since they are not that reliable but if there's one i use 3dmark (scores excellent almost above the Sony z1 line)
2. the accuracy of the screen has vastly improved from both the note 1 and 2 (which both i also own)...the pen is precise and pin point
3. touch response is excellent and the whole screen now even those at the sides of the bezel can be touched controlled as well...
i have almost all the galaxy lines of samsung and the note 3 delivers even on stock...what more if you can mod it, too much potential

no resources yet for that as my device is a pre production unit and the source is probably not yet out...but knowing samsung, its definitely open...unless theyve changed their minds just for the note

Hello fellow Xda Readers
I have an old Galaxy S2, which I had service through Virgin Mobile.
Long story short, the screen cuts in and out. I have to use a mini hdmi cord made for that phone to screen mirror on my tv. Via Hdmi.
My question is : Are there still companies out there that will replace the screen for me ?

Good point. You can also buy another s2 used, or maybe new old stock online...
