Hi,
So I think I need to flash a firmware onto my Acer A3-A20-K1AY. I tried recovery mode and doing a factory reset, but it is still stuck on the booting screen. I tried to follow the guide posted here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=59693904&postcount=480
but, it doesn't seem to download. I have the driver installed, so it does recognize it as a COM device, but it still only pops up for a couple of seconds. It seems to just disconnect. When I run the SPFT, it does not have the disconnect ping, but there is no progress on any bar. I haven't been able to open up the back of it to try removing the battery.
I don't know what I am doing wrong. Is there something I am missing?
Thanks.

Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again." is there any way to fix this? Also, it will not connect to my laptop via USB what so ever. so basicaly in most simple terms, I was stupid and got the Samsung bricked, and i need help un-bricking it.
Hi!
So, first thing is getting Odin to see your device. I found this, for getting into download mode..
1) device off, unplug USB, pull out/reseat battery to try to clear possible bugginess in firmware.
2) home + volume down + power (press in order and hold). Takes about 3 seconds. Displays the following.
Unless you can get your PC to see the device, there's nothing you can do. Try installing the drivers again on the PC.
This is the thread you said you used...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1884071
You need to be absolutely sure you are downloading the proper firmware for your device. Very sure.
All you can do is try it again...as outlined in the above thread.
If all that fails, ask your question here.... http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-player/help
That will get people who know your device best involved and get your post count up so you can post links and post in the development threads.
Good luck! ?

You can try uninstalling and reinstalling the Samsung drivers. And again...in download mode...see if Odin sees it. Also check device manager in windows. Look for a "!" And see if it is there and what its called.
And again, try asking in the question and answer thread I posted above. The members in that area know your device best. They're going to be your best resource here.

Hi! I've been reminded by a colleague that odin won't see your phone when kies is installed. Try uninstalling it and using Odin.
Actually, I'm pretty sure Kies just needs to NOT be running. Shut it it down and try. If not, then try uninstalling kies.
Just a tip.
Just kill Kies in task manager there will 2 software running at background which are kies driven just kill it in Task Manager and you are good to go...
@KJ its Correct... :good:
Hello Community,
I joined XDA because I have a bad problem with my One Plus One.
It becomes Hardbricked =S
So I started to ask Google for help and there was this Thread:
//forums.oneplus.net/threads/solution-recover-from-hard-bricked-oneplus-one.104943/
So I tried it but I was not able to solve the Problem. At beginning of the Tutorial I have the problem that my device ist not recognized by the "chinese" software if I use VolUp + Power, but if I try it with VolDown + Power I can see it. So I go on with the tutorial but then I have to click the big button in the upper right corner and the line with my One Plus goes red, so I read this is wrong. After some more try's I gave up.
I think I have no driver problem, because there comes no error at or after the installation.
I use Windows 7/8.1 and the driver from the downloaded ISO not Qualcomm, because I don't get them work. Also I tried Windows XP as VM but there I was not able to install any driver =/
Now my question are there some more tricks and tipps to get Color OS installed?
Thank's for your help.

If you can get into bootloader mode you are golden. Just reflash stock firmware, such as cyanogenmod 44S.
Thanks for your answer.
I think I am not able to reflash something, because if I try to go into bootloader or recovery or simply to boot I only hav a black screen =\
In cause of this I used the tutorial from above.
Is the device recognized on the computer at all?
I am realy sorry of such an late answer, but I get into some trouble.
But b2t, yes the device is recognized as "QHSUSB_BULK" in Hardware Manager, also Windows recognize some partition wich should ne formated. I never have done this at the moment ^^
Have you looked here?

Hello! I have been trying to unroot my G3 (VS985) for approximately a week now (due to a mic failure and need to claim warranty). I cannot seem to get the drivers to install properly and I have done everything in my power to make sure they do. I have the 3.12.3 version drivers currently. When I install them without my phone being plugged in they say they have installed properly. So I go ahead and put it in download mode and plug it in, go into device manager and it does not show up under the COM section, but rather as an "android device" that windows cannot find the drivers for. When I try to manually update the drivers (which I have in the root of the designated folder) it says there are no drivers to be installed and thus ultimately failing my ability to use the flash tool and change everything. Now I tried installing the drivers while the G3 was plugged in and in download mode, to which it begins to say they have successfully installed and then the little box at the bottom right corner of the screen with say "drivers failed to install click for more details" and it says there is no designated path. What am I doing wrong? I cant manually update them or have them install while the phone is plugged in. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. It might be a good idea to take a look at this thread:
[GUIDE][HOW TO][VS985] Restore Verizon to Stock
It contains detailed instructions and you should be able to ask your question there to get help from those who are experienced with your device.
Good luck!
Thread closed, thanks.
I have a Cherry Mobile Flare Lite which is unlisted on this site, unfortunately, that I tried unrooting because of reasons. After the unroot which I thought was successful, I reset my phone. When it turned on again, it showed me a screen that says "oot access is missing. Root devic" and below it "THIS CANNOT BE UNDONE." with two options right below that. One says "No" and the other "Yes - Root device (/system..." It happened a few days after the unroot and I can actually choose "no" without any problems and the phone would start up normally. But now it won't let me even choose, it's like it freezes the moment it shows the stuff said above and keeps resetting and resetting. I keep tapping on the options, pushing the volume buttons and power buttons but no response. It just freezes and resets. What did I do and what can I do to fix it?
Hello,
Welcome to XDA.
Can you boot to recovery or to download/fastboot mode or whatever flash mode your device has? Can you connect the device to adb?
Be prepared to use the tools I mentioned, get adb installed and set up on your PC, make sure you have your drivers installed on PC to connect your device, search for the flashtool that your device uses and install it if you don't already have it.
Have you tried rooting the device the way you did the first time?

Apologies if something similar has already been posted on here already. I have had a look, but can't seem to find anything.
I was trying to root my oneplus one this evening, and was following a very useful link here....
https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/like-a-boss-how-to-root-your-oneplus-one.58493/
....and got to the bit that says "sudo fastboot oem unlock" - waited a minute, and the phone rebooted showing the android and 1+ logo. But before anything else happens it turns itself off, then back on again. And continues to do this indefinitely. I can get it into fastboot mode, but not recovery. When it is in fastboot mode the pc doesn't recognise it. Something obviously isn't right, but I'm not sure what. I'm guessing something is possibly corrupt.
What I think I need to do is firstly, get the pc to recognise the phone somehow. Secondly, install a recovery on to it and thirdly, flash a rom. I've been scratching my head all night trying to work out how to get the phone recognised, and Googling like a teenager who's just discovered porn is available on the Internet.
Is there anybody out there who is familiar with Linux who can possibly walk me through what I need to get my phone working again?
Thanks for taking the time to read this, and for any help that may be offered.
