you have to use slimport (LG), not mhl (Samsung).

you need SLIMPORT cable, NOT MHL
Its different standard

I would recommend using the slimport cable. I don't have one yet, but have been experimenting with the Miracast to my LG OLED TV. Watching YouTube or Sling with Miracast and charging the device has caused the Flex 2 get too hot to touch wanting to shut it down. If I touched the screen for a few seconds I would of been burned. All the complaints about this device overheating and this is the only time I can get it in this state. Playing Vain Glory for a while wanted to dim the screen after a while before I put on the PR ROM.
I'm able to use Miracast without it overheating ad long as I don't charge it.

Connecting to smart phone.

Had the A700 and was able to connect to my phone using the USB port. Since the infinity had no such port, Is there a USB adapter for the infinity TF 700?
I know I can swap SD cards or transfer via BT but just want to know if this is possible without the dock.

it has the same port as the prime so i would think the usb adapter would work with the infinity also.
don't know if the need the microUSB but here is an adapter for a regular sized USB + you don't need a dock for this just connected to the tablet 40 pin port

(remove spaces)
hoped that helped :highfive:

The keyboard dock has a full sized USB on it as well. It also has the added benefit of adding a full size SD card slot and extending the battery life.

The USB Kit from ASUS works also on the TF700.
It charges my HTC DHD w/o any problem so using the phone as access point is working fine.
But for some unknown reasons it doesn't recognize the phone as a USB Drive...

This is a very low end device and dosnt support any form of video out (via HDMI etc) so the likely hood is you cant do this, you could prehaps view the devices screen on a computer if its rooted but there would be new scaling to fit to the computers screen etc.

If it has an hdmi out. Or As said above, you can do it with a computer. Needs root. Apps like airdroid can do it.

LIFE! A ONE TIME OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE OR BREAK!
You might want to see if your phone has MHL capabilities. An MHL adapter connects to your micro USB port, and then you plug a regular size HDMI cable into the adapter. There is an additional micro usb port on the adapter to charge your device and power the adapter.
High end Samsung devices have this capability, but maybe others ones do too.

If yours is a smart TV ( has DLNA ), you can use any DLNA server android application and let your TV access your phone via DLNA

[Q] Screen Mirror via MHL?

I was wondering if there was a way to force screen mirror via MHL instead of using wireless miracast? Does anyone have any experience/knowledge in this field?
Thanks!

I haven't seen anything about MHL or Slimport on the droids yet. Live chat didn't have any answer on it either. just Miracast

I know that they don't, but I was wondering if MHL support was baked into something where I could try and modify it to force output. It has an mhl port, so it seems that maybe it could be software forced was my hope.

2 otg cables in one

Hi all I'm looking to see if it's possible to use two otg cables on one device .
I know there's y cables but I didn't want to put them in just in case
What I want to do is plug a video capture card into a nexus 7 and a telemetry usb as well and run both apps together so I would have
My telemetry on one side and my video on the other side .
It's for my quadcopter .
Any help input would be great

It would work, if you use a Y cable.
Another question : if you connect only telemetry works? and if you connect only video capture card works?
Yea my telemetry works and my video capture card does but I want to run both the same time . Will get a y cable

I don't think there was an OTG adapter included. Are you trying to use the Smart Switch adapter?

Yes I am it works with my ps3 controller so I assumed it was a otg adapter
I guess it could function as one. It never occured to me. I'll have to try it with my OBDII adapter.
