Hi all I'm looking to see if it's possible to use two otg cables on one device .
I know there's y cables but I didn't want to put them in just in case
What I want to do is plug a video capture card into a nexus 7 and a telemetry usb as well and run both apps together so I would have
My telemetry on one side and my video on the other side .
It's for my quadcopter .
Any help input would be great

It would work, if you use a Y cable.
Another question : if you connect only telemetry works? and if you connect only video capture card works?
Yea my telemetry works and my video capture card does but I want to run both the same time . Will get a y cable

Yes you will need a Y cable, but i dont say if the tablet offer a supply necessary for all 2 the devices.

Had the A700 and was able to connect to my phone using the USB port. Since the infinity had no such port, Is there a USB adapter for the infinity TF 700?
I know I can swap SD cards or transfer via BT but just want to know if this is possible without the dock.

it has the same port as the prime so i would think the usb adapter would work with the infinity also.
don't know if the need the microUSB but here is an adapter for a regular sized USB + you don't need a dock for this just connected to the tablet 40 pin port
http ://uk . asus . com/Peripherals_Accessories/Eee_Pad_Accessories/External_USB_Adapter/
(remove spaces)
hoped that helped :highfive:

The keyboard dock has a full sized USB on it as well. It also has the added benefit of adding a full size SD card slot and extending the battery life.

The USB Kit from ASUS works also on the TF700.
It charges my HTC DHD w/o any problem so using the phone as access point is working fine.
But for some unknown reasons it doesn't recognize the phone as a USB Drive...

This is a very low end device and dosnt support any form of video out (via HDMI etc) so the likely hood is you cant do this, you could prehaps view the devices screen on a computer if its rooted but there would be new scaling to fit to the computers screen etc.

If it has an hdmi out. Or As said above, you can do it with a computer. Needs root. Apps like airdroid can do it.

LIFE! A ONE TIME OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE OR BREAK!
You might want to see if your phone has MHL capabilities. An MHL adapter connects to your micro USB port, and then you plug a regular size HDMI cable into the adapter. There is an additional micro usb port on the adapter to charge your device and power the adapter.
High end Samsung devices have this capability, but maybe others ones do too.

Here's some steps you can take especially if your watch is new and not very customized yet. Try hooking up the watch to your PC and run the sony applicaton on your PC that does the updating. Have it connect to your watch and flash the latest firmware from Sony. After it's all done, let the watch sit on the cable until it has a full charge. When it is fully charged, reboot your phone and disconnect the watch from the cable. After the reboot, make sure no other BT devices are connected. Put the phone in BT discovery mode. Hold the watch's power button down for about 30 seconds or so. This will reset the watch. From there, the pairing should work.

Glad I could help. When I snagged mine off Ebay, it was stuck on a 3 bars screen. I had to do some searching around to get it fixed. That's where I came across a lot of the troubleshooting steps for the watch.

If I cut BT off , yes the app will disappear. However if BT is fine and my phone has been within range of the watch, I never see the app go away. Double check any app killers you have to make sure it's whitelisted. Also, people at least with a Nexus 4 have been complaining that the BT stack for 4.2.2 has been kind of trashy. M y rooted Rezound with a 4.2.2 rom has been fine though.

That's an odd fix
can't connect smartwatch with S4
I try to reset the watch and pairing again with my S4, it paired up, when connecting for data, my phone just won't find my watch. I don't know how to update my watch with pc. But I connect it with my galaxy tab and update it. Is there any other way that can make my watch works with S4?
Thanks a lot

Ok. Its just that unlike Samsung galaxy s3 (onwards) the nexus 5 cannot power mechanical drives through its USB host port. I expect you'd need a powered USB hub to power and use a mechanical drive.

Would a third party Rom like cyanogen make the drive work? Or is it a hardware issue?

Hardware as far as I know. The S3 was the first that could do this without external power. Not all devices follow suit. Mechanical parts require a lot of power compared to flash

So any size usb stick or a external drive with its own power source. I'm using a 128gb stick.

I can't say if there's a limit on mechanical drives or not.

Its built-in all ready. After rooting all you need is an app like stickmount. Or if you change rom most of them have the software you need allready in there.

Is your drive in NTSF format? Android only recognizes FAT32. Try a drive formatted as FAT32 and see what happens.
I am using my 1TB WD harddrive(ntfs).
It works fine with StickMount. I never needed external power source.
But it eats the battery extremely fast at almost 1%-2% per minute.
But the USB-Y cable should work fine for powering usb hard drive.

@yuepc000 - I don't have a drive.
What would be the easiest way to achieve this? Is there an Android tablet I can buy that has no wireless hardware? If not is there one where it's easy to remove or otherwise destroy/disable the hardware?
If not, what is the best way to securely disable all wifi and bluetooth connectivity?
Wtf why you dont want wifi and BT ??

What does why I need it have to do with what the solution is?
Because I need it for an application that doesn't require any wireless connectivity and any wireless access is a security liability. The alliterative is building something with a rasberry pi without a wireless chip but it would be much easier and faster if it was possible to just buy a tablet off the shelf, because my application does require a high resolution camera and a small lightweight form factor (i.e. hand held and battery powered).

There are none that can do this out of the box, the only way you're gonna do this with a tablet is to modify the software to completely remove network connective functionality, or manually turn off the radio each time before using the app. Otherwise, figure something else out.

Any recommendations on the easiest way to modify the software?
Are there any specific tablets where it's easy to remove the hardware?
Thanks.
