Can anyone help me get back a voice icon? I've switched to the latest M and no longer have the icon or widgets for voice search. I'm not a fan of saying "OK Google, blah blah...". I really like having a one touch icon on my homescreen. Thanks

Hello and thank you for using XDA Assist.
You didn't specify on which device you installed Android "M" Marshmallow, but your profile mentions the Nexus 6. In the Nexus area I see several subforums and threads dealing with "M", including a general discussion thread at http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/general/android-m-discussion-thread-t3120782. I suggest you ask your question there where other members are likely to be able to help you. Since you're a long-time member, I'm sure you can find a similar thread for another device if the Nexus is not what you had in mind.
Good Luck!

First post, thanks for reading
I searched a bit to try and find an answer on this.
I've recently got to customizing my atrix
I've got Go Launcher
handcent
fancy widget and a few others
in the "screen shot" thread under the atrix forum I keep seeing people with customized icons in their system notification bar on the top of the phone.
Just wondering how I can edit this, any help is appreciated.

I am not sure but i found a site where ppl post their ROMS and their launchers they use to get customized icons in notification bar. Here it is: http://iamandroid.com/group/rootedd1users/forum/topics/what-rom-are-you-using
Or are you talking abt this?: http://androidforums.com/samsung-moment/42725-theme-dark-ages.html
If you are, there is a tutorial on that here: http://androidforums.com/samsung-moment/42724-guide-how-change-your-notification-bar.html
Hope this helps!!
Managed to get the OTA update by setting the time zone to US and clearing data on Google framework - however I have many apps that are working very poorly and widget all seem to be broken.
Apps - buttons dont seem to allign with the text that should be in the button. Some apps buttons when pressed light up like they are being pressed but on release dont launch/do what they were supposed to (or anything at all)
Widgets - Can be dragged to the home screens but then do nothing. Gmail widget shows no mails even though the icon shows mail recieved. Beautiful widgets just give me the box with the loading sign saying loading widget.
I'm very sorry if this is the wrong forum for this type of post but I guess you guys would be able to let me know if its due to a bad install/update or is it just developer updates required, or what action to try.
Thanks

i understand this is your first post, but just for future reference please search before starting a new thread... theres a HUGE JB thread in the nexus s general section
Link to said threads seeing as obviously I'm not searching using the correct phrase or words would be helpful. After all its fairly unlikely that after 14 months without having to make a thread I'm normally pretty good at searching for what I'm looking for...

101 pages will have to go through that later.
Thanks for the links though I have found an issue thread regarding certain apps and widgets elsewhere.

Thanks for using my post :good:
Hi guys!
For the last few hours, I have been looking for some type of widget displaying missed calls and unread messages, for my widgetlocker lockscreen.
Ideally it would be showing when there are missed calls or messages, and be gone when there are none. Something like the notifications you'd see on the iPhone's lockscreen.
Something like the notifications on GO Locker iPhone Lockscreen HD by ProArt (Appearently I can't post links since I'm new here, but just search that on google play :3 )
Or perhaps the ones on Cute Lover Go Locker by KOOL HD GO LOCKER THEMES (Also on google play.)
Anyone know any widgets that would work for that? I'd be much appreciative, since I have been searching for a long time.
And I really don't know if I am just a bad investigator, or it just doesn't exist.
Personally, I hope for the first one.
Anyways. Thanks in advance!
Welcome, I hope your issues/questions gets addressed. Until then here is some information for you Thanks.

Is there a way that you can get the Quick Action feature from the iPhone 6 on Android? I'd like to be able to hold down the Twitter icon and Tweet from there. Not sure if this is possible but it sure would be cool.

Hello, and thank you for using XDA Assist!
If anything, that would be a custom launcher feature, using apps that support it. The site has launcher threads abound, just need to find your favourite, and then ask for this feature, assuming it is possible.
Hope this helps, and good luck!
Hi guys,
it is my first thread so please apologize inconvenience upfront, thank you.
I own a Pixel 2 since a couple of days and I really like it. But since I'm coming from a Huawei device and need to use iOS devices in my company I'm really familiar with the 'no app drawer' thing.
Yeah, I know that this is something most of the people love, but I really can't get used to it.
Is there anyone who maybe know how to disable the app drawer?
Already tried different launcher and the only one that I've found was the Mi-Launcher.
If there is the emui launcher somewhere outside, I would prefer this but I've looked already day after day for it.
Any help is much appreciated!
Thank you all.
cheers

Give it some more time. It's really nice to keep your home screen clutter free and all apps sorted alphabetically in the drawer. You wouldn't want all your computer find at work sorted randomly on the desktop, would you?
But if you must change it, I'm sure there are a bunch of iOS themed launchers in the play store. That's the beauty of Android... Choice!
You could use Nova Launcher. Just disable swipe app drawer and hide the drawer button. Make sure the setting "place newly installed apps on home screen" is enabled.
